JONGIN'S P.O.V

"Thank you for letting me know. Please try again." I replied quietly before I hung up the phone.
I sighed and raked my fingers through my hair. It's getting frustrating how each and every time I feel hopeful, it was all for nothing. It was another dead end. It wasn't my Jin. The private investigator I hired had been searching for her too long.

Jin, my Jin, where are you? It's been three damn years since you've been gone from my life. Why the hell can I not forget you? Why do you keep running away from me?

"Yah! Kai, want to join us for drinks? We're celebrating Xiumin's engagement" Chanyeol hyung slapped a large hand on my shoulder. He was grinning from ear to ear. Probably because he was the one who set the couple up.

"Why the hell not. Okay, Let's go." I smiled and grabbed my jacket.

"Still about that girl huh?" Chanyeol asked more seriously as we walked to his car. I just nodded.

"How bout you stop now. Huh? Let her go. She obviously does not want to be found. I can set you up with a nice girl. I'm sure you'll end up happy just like Minseok hyung."

"Thanks hyung. I know you mean well, but there's something special about this one." I replied quietly.

Incheon International Airport

It was another flight. This time it's bound for California. EXO has a concert in LA and we were all taking the same flight. It was the usual scene, mobs of fans waving various signs and screaming our names, hundreds of blinding flashbulbs, and the members politely smiling and waving for the fans.

I was waving politely to the crowd when I saw her walking towards the exit. I couldn't believe it is Jin, so I followed her with my gaze and was really surprised to realize that my eyes were not playing tricks on me.

Pandemonium erupted when I ran and left security to try and catch Jin. She never looked back. She never saw how desperately I tried to fight the crowd separating me from her, shouting at the top of my lungs for her to stop. Jin didn't see me begging the company's security team and managers to let me go. If only she looked back at me, she would have seen me being dragged bodily through the gates, to a flight that I did not wish to take.

JIN'S P.O.V.

"Mama crying? Jae will kiss boo-boo better?" My son, my sweet child, patted my wet cheeks and gave me a sloppy kiss and hug. Everyday, he looks more and more like his father. How do I explain to him that my heart is breaking because I saw his father across a crowded airport terminal?

"Thank you Jae. Mama's better now. You are the best thing in my life. Saranghe." I kissed his baby cheeks and let him waddle his small body back to the enormous pile of toys his godmother Mijung sent to our house.

Three years ago, I ran to the only other family I have left in this world, Mijung. I left my heart in Seoul and flew all the way to California. There, my best friend sheltered me, dried my tears, wiped my face as I went through more tears and morning sickness and helped me stand on my own again.

This time, I want back to Seoul for Mijung. Her father was dying and needed round the clock care. It was pointless to hire caregivers and nurses when Mijung and I are both nurses. So we packed up and returned home.

Fate is a cruel bitch. I prayed hard never to see Jongin again, but the first person I see as I stepped out of the plane is him. He was in his element as a celebrity. He really was born to shine.

I wiped my face hurriedly when I heard the door bell ring. It was probably more furnitures being delivered. I started a polite greeting as I swung the door wide open.


Jongin was standing outside my door.
