The beautiful smile of yours.

I saw Luna, my unni’s best friend. I stood there in shock. What should I do? I thought.
“Areum” she said.
I slowly looked up. When I met eyes with her, tears began to form in my eyes. She walked over to me, took my hand and walked out with me behind the store. I was sobbing now, too overwhelmed by all these memories. I couldn’t take it anymore; I fell on my knees, crying my heart out.
“Why are you here?” I asked once she let go of my hand.
“How are you?” she smiled at me.
“WHY ARE YOU HERE?!?” I asked louder this time.
“I missed you and your brother. Do you know how hard it was for me to let go of her? To accept the fact that she isn’t here anymore!” she said crying.
“Then, why do you miss me too? I was the one who killed her! It's my fault that she died!” I yelled. She walked over to me to give me a hug.
“Don’t ever say that! You called the ambulance and that means that you tried to save her. I bet your brother told you that, too.” she said trying to force a smile.

I heard someone cough, I turned around to see the boys standing there all awkward, not knowing what to do. I just stared blankly at them. Did they hear everything? Please say they didn’t. I wiped my tears away and walked back to the school. I wasn’t hungry anymore. I walked fast so they wouldn't catch up with me.
I finally made it to there, without seeing any of the guys. I walked up to the rooftop and laid down on the bench. I closed my eyes and was about to fall asleep until some nasty girls came and interrupted my nap. I opened my eyes and looked at them to find them staring at me. I turned around so my back was facing them. Once I closed my eyes, one of them pulled my shirt, making me fall down onto concrete floor. These nasty girls are bothering me AGAIN!
“AISH! THIS GIRL!” I yelled. Damn, I was so pissed.
“YAH! Who do you think you are to yell at my unni?” some girl yelled back.
“If you don’t want to get beaten, then shut up.” I hissed at her.
She backed away. I rolled my eyes and was about to go until she pulled my hair. She really wanted to get hurt. I kicked her in the leg, so she fell down. She was sitting on the floor hugging her bleeding leg. I walked over to her and squatted down so I was the same level as her.
“Don’t think you’re all that.” I said to her and ruffled up her hair.
Once I stood up again, she tried to pull my leg, but I kicked it away. I stood in the doorway and was about to walk away.
“Stay away from our oppas!” she screamed.
I ignored her and kept walking to class. Girls these days are so annoying! I'm so tired. I just want to go home and sleep. Who were their oppas? If she was talking about Rocky and his friend, then I would gladly stay away from them. Aish! So annoying! Because of them, my leg hurt. They better feel sorry about what they did.

In the classroom, I walked over to my desk and began doodling on some random paper. I drew all kinds of things: a moon, stars, rocket, cars, smiley faces, and even some names. I didn’t look at finished result, but just crumpled the paper up after I wrote who made it. The sun was brightly shining at my face from the window. Just then, the teacher finally walked in.
“We have P.E now, so make sure to wear your bathing suits!” the teacher announced.Wait, what bathing suit?
“We all have a bathing suit in our locker, you probably should have one, too.” someone said behind me.
I turned around and saw Rocky. He stood up and was about to leave, but before he took another step he turned around.
“Oh! By the way, it’s just a white t-shirt and red shorts.” he mentioned.
WAIT! WHITE? THAT MEANS WHEN I’M IN THE WATER, IT WILL BECOME SEE THROUGH!
Wait. I can’t swim. I guess I’m safe now. I sighed in relief. I walked to the changing rooms and found my locker. Just as Rocky correctly said, there were a set of clothes. I quickly changed and hurriedly walked out of the girls changing room.

I was standing in front of the pool, just looking at my reflection through the water. People slowly started to show up. When the teacher came they all started to stand in a line. There was to pools, one for every gender. So the boys were all gathered around one pool and girls were gathered around an another pool. The teacher made teams for us. Everyone was excited except for me.
“The last team is Rocky, Moonbin!” I really hope I’m not in the same team as them.
“And Areum!” the teacher announced.
I sighed heavily walking over to the teacher while everyone was getting ready in their teams.
“I don’t know how to swim.” I said.
“You can just sit on the bench and overlook us practice.” she said, looking weirdly at me.
I nodded and walked over to the bench. I sat there just looking at the other students in the pool.
It got boring really face so I walked back to the girls changing room when the teacher's eyes diverted from me. I opened my locker and change back into my uniform before heading back to class. Inside my empty classroom, I sat on my seat and looked out of the window.

"Noona! Can we go swimming?" My little brother asked.
“Of course!” I said excitedly.
He started jumping around in joy. I smiled at him. He’s always been the 'happy virus' in our family.I walked out with him to the beach.
“Are you ready?” I said, smiling.
He nodded and starting running there in our bathing suits. We lived close to the beach so we visited the ocean often. I followed him, running behind him. When we finally made it to the beach, we counted to three and into the splashing waves. It felt nice and refreshing. The hot water hit us and we laughed in joy. I went under the water looking at the beautiful plants.
“NOONA!” my little brother said loud. I poked my head up from the water and looked at him.
“Look at what I got!”
I looked down at his hands and there was a beautiful shining pearl. He would always find the most beautiful things.
“It’s beautiful!” I grinned at him.
“It’s for you!” he said it to me.
He kissed my forehead, I smiled at him and kissed his forehead, too.
“Noona, I’m coming back soon, I want to put the pearl in your handbag” he said and swam out of the water.
“Okay, but hurry back!” I said.
I was in the water for some time and he wasn’t back yet. I got worried and swam out of the water and looked for him.
“Hwanee! Where are you!” I yelled but no answer.
Maybe he was behind the bushes, so I walked there over. I saw his hand, I smiled and walked over to him. Instead of finding his happy face, I stood there in shock.
“H-h-hwanee.” I said shaking him.
I knew he wouldn’t wake up, but I had to try. I rang the hospital. I stared at Hwanee who was covered in blood. Hwanee, who smiled so brightly, not so long ago is now lifeless, dead. Why is it always my fault?’

I tear rolled down my cheek.
“Why are you crying?” said a voice from behind me.
I wiped the tear away and turned around to find Moonbin standing there giving me a worried look.
