Remember Me?

"You're Jeon Jungkook!" I said with a smile. He kept staring at me. I tried to recall the scrambled pieces of random information in the back of my mind.

"Um, you're from Jeon Corps." I added. Jungkook looked disappointed. I blushed and corrected myself. "Oh! My bad." He grinned, looking hopeful. "One Jeon Corps." His happy expression quickly turned into a pout.

"Never mind," he said, straining his face into a smile, "you'll probably remember sooner or later." He took the tea from Mr. Kim and took a long sip. "See you soon!" He said his farewells and walked out the exit. I followed them out and found an impressive line of about five sleek black cars waiting to escort Jeon Jungkook. I wish I had that much money to live off of. He hopped into one and waved goodbye before disappearing down the street.

Mr. Kim came to check on me every now and then, reporting to Jungkook how I was doing. Why was he so interested in me? If I were him, I wouldn't even be bothered to acknowledge a random girl. In the following week, an arrogant woman, whom I recognized was at Jungkook's dinner table at that one event, entered the shop with a suited man. The disgusted look on her face had the words "get out of my way" written all over it. When she arrived at the counter, she took off her large sunglasses to study my body, her eyes looking up and down. Her partner was also silently judging me. I stood there awkwardly and waited for her to order something. She also was checking out Mr. Kim, who was texting on his phone.
Does she know me?

KRYSTAL'S POV
This place is so small. What am I even doing here? The barista looked shy when Namjoon and I went up to buy drinks. She had a decent body but I still wasn't sure about her. I've received reports from my spies- in other words, Yoongi- that Jungkook had sent a bodyguard to hover over her. It's probably that tall guy in the corner doing nothing. He's handsome though.

"Can I get you something?" I turned back to face her. She seemed familiar to me. Namjoon calmly said "Irish Coffee" and nudged me. I quickly scanned the menu above her head. "Ugh. Just get me a scone." I said. Nothing was worth drinking here. We then sat down at an empty table and waited for our order.

"Namjoon! Do you recognize her? I swear I saw here somewhere." I whispered.

"Ms. Jeon," he whispered back, "she was the waiter who served us at Neo Culture Technology's sixth anniversary earlier this year." I stared at him in confusion.

He continued on. "She's the one who Kim Taehyung was flirting and 'almost' recognized Mr. Jeon." My jaw dropped. That girl? Really? Jungkook has some major explaining to do. From the corner of my eye, I saw Namjoon quietly jamming to the background music.


"Here's your Irish Coffee and scone." She set it on the table. I expected so much more from you, Jungkook. Now that I think about it, she does has a nice face. Ew, scones. When she left, I passed my 'scone' to Namjoon, who proceeded to eat it.

"How does my brother know she works here?" I asked, still continuing to study her.

"Perhaps he sent someone to investigate on her." said an unfamiliar voice. I turned around to find that handsome bodyguard sitting at our table. Namjoon clearly did not give a poop about him.

"Oh! You-"

"Kim Soohyun. I work for your brother, Mr. Jeon Jungkook. It's nice to meet you, too."

"Are you going to tell him that we're here?"

"Unfortunately for you, I already did. He's on the way right now. If you don't want to meet him, I kindly suggest you leave soon."

"Namjoon! Let's go!"

"Alright, miss." He chugged the drink down and followed me as I dashed out. Waiting for me outside with his usual line of cars was Jungkook, arms crossed and looking displeased.

Ten minutes later, we sat at the lobby sofas of the hotel I was staying at. Namjoon was waiting for me in one of the cars outside. I felt a bit nervous facing Jungkook so I constantly reminded myself that I had the upperhand.

"Namjoon isn't here to stand up for you. Tell me," Jungkook demanded, "why do you keep poking your nose in my life? And why aren't you in Jeju?"

"Jeju was boring but your business isn't," I explained, crossing my legs, "and why are you paying so much attention to that girl?"

"Her name is Minji!" he exclaimed.

"Yeah, whatever." I took a sip of my tea.

"She's my girlfriend." What? Holy poop! I choked on my drink, carefully making sure not to spit my tea out in public. What did he just say?

"Are you pooping me right now?"

"Well, we haven't met for years," he scratched his neck, "and she doesn't seem to recognize me."

"Does Dad know about this?"

"No," he put on a straight face, "and he's not my dad."

"Yeah, sure, I get that. But, anyway, I'm going to tell him."

"If you tell him about her, Krystal," he threatened, "I'll tell him that you aren't at Jeju right now." Ugh! Even though he's inheriting our company, he should at least respect his older sister. Respect!

"Ugh! Fine, we have a deal. But why haven't you told her that you're her ex-boyfriend?"

"I'm not her ex!"

"And I'm not Chloe Moretz! You know what, Jungkook, I'm flying back to Jeju for that board meeting. By the way, if she doesn't even recognize your face, she probably isn't worth it."

"Heol!" I heard him say as I walked away. Tch. This little piece of poop is really going to get it someday.

JUNGKOOK'S POV
She'll remember me soon, Krystal. Just you wait.
