The new person

You and Krystal got on the bus and didn't talk to each other on the bus. Krystal does not talk much, but she's very smart. She got straight A's in all of her class last year. You were very smart yourself, but not as smart as Krystal. You remember when she first came to the school. Almost all the boys fell for her. She would get a lot of gifts during Valentines and Christmas.
You guys finally reached school, and you saw Kai waiting in front of the school. He looked very different, he somehow got darker and taller. ( of course because he's athletic and he must have been outdoor all day during the vacation.) You and Krystal got off the bus and went to wait next to Kai.
”Good morning Kai", you said to Kai.
”Good morning ____, and good morning Krystal", he replied, but he didn't look at you but only looked at Krystal.
”Good morning Kai", answered Krystal.
You could see Kai smiling when Krystal replied, but you felt hurt inside that he didn't look at you.
5 minutes later the school door open. The three of you went to the counselor office to get your schedules and lockers. Then you guys went to homeroom.
