Movie Night

1/1

The sound of the rain pattering against the window pane made Yoongi finally look up from his laptop, he had been working from home. Namjoon had made a point for him to spend some time with Kokyung. There the rapper sat, waiting. The rain was getting stronger and thoughts passed through his head.
Had Kokyung remembered an umbrella? Was she even finished with rehearsals? He let out a quiet sigh and stood from the desk in the office turned studio he had put into the apartment he shared with his girlfriend of four years.

As soon as he opened the door to the studio he could hear Yao meowing from across the house, the patter of his small feet resounding across the wooden floors. Within seconds the cat was sat before Yoongi's feet. He chuckled and picked the cat up; the feline's tail puffed up out of excitement.
"When do you think eomma will be home?" The rapper questioned to the cat.
Giving no response the cat merely blinked his large grey-blue eyes.

As he stretched out, Yoongi realized that he could just change into comfortable clothing. There had been a plan to watch movies and eat take out all night. He couldn't have been more excited for a lazy evening. Typically watching movies entailed cuddling and he was extremely excited for that prospect. He wandered into their shared room and rifled through the drawers looking for a pair of sweatpants.
As soon as he found a pair he tossed the fleece lined joggers onto their bed and unbuttoned his jeans.

- What kind of takeout do you want? I can get ramen before I come home.
Yoongi paused for a moment before deciding that that did sound good; the cold, fall weather making the idea even better.
- Yeah, that sounds good. Did you remember an umbrella?
- Okay, I'll just get whatever. Nope, I didn't think about it. It just looked cloudy, I didn't expect it to rain. I'll be fine. I'm leaving rehearsals now, I'll be home soon.
- Kay, be careful.
The rain that was splattering across the window seemed to be coming down harder than before.

A clatter sounded from the door to the apartment, Yoongi stood up from his seat on the couch to see what the noise was. A muffled curse and more clattering came from the other side of the door. As soon as the rapper had the door opened he saw his girlfriend struggling to carry two takeout boxes and two takeout bowels. He quickly grabbed the two bowels from the top of the precarious stack.
He looked over the girl who had stumbled into the apartment. She was soaked from head to toe, her clothes were dripping onto the wood beneath her feet. Clear droplets of water sliding down her long black tresses.

"Welcome home." He said quietly, a smile growing on his face as he looked at her.
"How was work?" She smiled back.
"I had to go to the office to work with Namjoon for a little bit, but other than that I stayed in the studio here most of the day. How was rehearsal?"
"Only a little stressful, our director decided to change some of the moves because he didn't like the direction."
"Here, you can tell me all about it while we dry your hair."

He carefully took her small hand and pulled her along to their bathroom. He gestured for her to sit on the counter so he could towel dry her hair.
"I can do it myself." She halfheartedly whined.
"Yeah, but you never get it fully dry. It wouldn't do for you to get sick, I doubt your director would like that."

"Yeah, I think she may have sprained her ankle. It will be awful if they keep making her work on it. I'm worried for her." Kokyung finished as Yoongi pulled the fluffy black towel away from her hair.
"I hope she gets better." He sympathized.
"Thank you, oppa." She mumbled, her eyes dropping to the floor.
Even after four years of being together, things like this were still embarrassing for the both of them.
"N-no problem, jagi."
"W-we should eat." Kokyung hopped off the counter, her cheeks looked pinker than usual.
"First you should change into something dryer than those."

Yoongi opened the containers of takeout and put them into dishes, he finished putting the the ramen he assumed was his into a bowel. He looked up to see Kokyung standing before him; she was wearing one of his baggy white shirts over a pair of grey cotton shorts.
"Eat then movies?" She questioned as she made her way over to him.
"Yeah. You got a lot of food. I was just expecting ramen."
"I was just going to get it then the kimbap called to me. It all looked so good so I got a lot." She dropped her gaze from his.
He smiled and set another dish onto the table.

"The grey one too, it's really fluffy and big." Kokyung's voice called from the bedroom.
Yoongi searched through the linen closet to find a few warm blankets they could use while watching movies. Pulling out a dark grey blanket his mother had given the pair as a house warming gift, the rapper turned to see his small girlfriend before him holding a stack of pillows that almost covered her face.
"Okay, I think we're ready."
"What movies?"
"We should watch Howl's Moving Castle."
"Then we should watch a real movie." He teased.
"Ah! Ghibli is amazing." The woman rolled her eyes.

Yoongi laid on his side on the couch, his back pressed to the back of the couch. Kokyung was standing to put the movie into the DVD player. She turned around and quickly made her way to the couch to crawl under the mountain of blankets he had created while she was searching their movie collection.
He pulled the blankets open so she could lay on the couch beside him, she made her way under the covers. Her back pressed closely to his chest; he moved the arm that he was laying on to rest under her head, his other arm going to wrap around her waist. He wasn't a typically affectionate person, at least not in public. He was always excited to cuddle in the privacy of their own home or somewhere he was comfortable. Skinship had never been something either of them had been into, she was just as reserved as he was when it came to touching in public. They would hold hands, he would hold her waist on red carpets and things like akin to that: that was the extent of it. They had never kissed in public, they didn't really hug.

At home Yoongi could hold her as much as he wanted; his nose buried in her hair. She was focused on the movie, he was just enjoying the scent of peaches that floated off her hair. He would watch as many cartoons as she wanted just as long as he was able to hold her like this. Her thin fingers mindlessly playing with his, she shifted slightly to pull her body closer to his.
"You're so warm." She whispered, her voice sleep laden.
"Mm." Was all he could manage to reply, he was melting inside at the idea of her being so sleepy. She was truly adorable when she was like that.

Yoongi attempted to stay awake longer to enjoy the slow, steady breaths that left Kokyung's slightly parted lips. As his eyes drifted closed again he felt the ballerina in his arms roll over so her face was nuzzled into his chest.
She let out a soft hum as she became still again, the lazy smile on his face widened. He slowly traced patterns across her back, the shirt she had stolen from him had ridden up a few inches. The rise in the shirt had granted him full access to her milky skin. She shifted slightly as he traced pointless patterns on her skin. He stopped; hoping deeply that he hadn't woken her up.
His eyes drifted closed again, he knew he couldn't fight the sleep that had plagued him.

As his eyes fluttered open; the semi-brightness of the room made Yoongi squint. It took him a moment to realize that both he and Kokyung were sleeping on the couch. Her forehead resting on his chest, her warm breath washing over the cotton of his shirt. He began to think of a way to pick her up and take her to bed. He slowly shifted to where she was sitting in his lap, her legs wrapped loosely around his hips. Her soft hair brushing his neck as she rested her head in the crook of his neck. Cautiously the rapper stood up, he reached over to turn off the lamp beside the couch. He grabbed one of the five pillows in the hand that wasn't supporting his girlfriend's body.

As he reached the door the fact that he didn't have a free hand hit him, he dropped the pillow to the ground and opened the door. Pushing it fully open with his foot he carefully made his way to their bed. Taking great care he laid her on her side of the bed, she whined in her sleep at the temperature change. He pulled the blankets up and went to retrieve some of their pillows from the couch.

The sight of Kokyung curled on her side of the bed facing his side greeted Yoongi, he let the slight smile on his face widen. He moved towards the bed and placed the pillows down near her head.
He looked at his phone to see what the time was; 1:23 in the morning. He yawned again, he wasn't use to being so tired at that time. He was accustomed to being in the studio working on a song, at that moment he couldn't think of being anywhere but in bed with his girlfriend.
Slowly he climbed into the bed trying not to disrupt her sleep.

Carefully Yoongi pulled Kokyung closer to him, his arms wrapping around her small body. She nestled her head in the crook of his neck again, her soft breaths puffing across the sensitive skin of his neck. He let his eyes slide shut again, her steady breathing lulling him to sleep.
