The Elements.

[Halla's POV]
"Halla! Wake up, time for school." Jimin's voice had woken me up. The time on my clock read 6:30 AM. I let out a yawn as I sat up and rubbed my drowsy hazel eyes. I got out of the bed and walked into my closet and chose a blue colored flannel with some leggings and warm boots. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and brush out my natural straight hair.

I walked downstairs to get some coffee, that would be my energy for the first couple of hours. I poured the hot beverage into a insulated cup so it would stay warm throughout the day. I put the creamer in and I was ready to leave. I grabbed my bookbag and headed out the door to see Jimin and Jungkook in the SUV Jin had gotten us for school. It was a Lexus NX Hybrid, it was pretty elegant.

Jimin drove us considering he's gotten his license before we have. It didn't take us long to get to the campus but we had to take a different route so there wouldn't be any suspicion we live out in the hills. I was supposed to go to school with not just these 2 boys, but Taehyung as well. He's just not woken up yet.
I keep pondering on what I could've done to at least save him. I could've used my ice shards or something to perhaps counter the attack. However, Baekhyun's magic wasn't normal, it was tainted. He's about the same as Jin, he was born that way and he's lived for a very long time. Jin doesn't know him well, he told me Baekhyun is formally new to the Calvary. He joined a year ago after saving an entire city from man with intense Crykinesis... Which is what I have. I remember I can create fictional or even real things from ice, it was called Dark Ice Manipulation. It wasn't to be used unless I was truly in danger.

I got out the car as Jimin parked in our reserved space. I walked with Jungkook to our first class, we had marine biology together.

However when I got into the classroom, me and Jungkook didn't sit together, a girl sat down beside me. "You're the new girl right?" She asked me. I nodded, "Yea, I'm Halla." I said as I gave a smile. She returned the grin, "I'm Sowon, nice to meet you. I hope you like Acadia, it's a pretty cool university once you find your way around things" I nodded at her words. "Do you want to have lunch later? My schedule ends before lunch anyway and there's this cafe nearby if you wanna go?" She asked. "Yea sure, my classes end before lunch starts too. I'll meet you at the library doors?" I offered, she nodded, "Yep, sounds good." She smiled.
I then took out my notes and began writing down the words the teacher said.

It was time for lunch but since I was meeting Sowon I stood at the library doors and waited for her. I felt a tap on my shoulder seconds later, expecting it to be her, it was Jungkook. "Oh hey Kookie, what's up?" I asked. "Nothing much, what are you standing here?" He said as he tilted his head, "I'm waiting for my new friend." I said. I saw her approach me from a couple feet away, "Hey, Halla, ready to go?" She asked. I nodded, but then Jungkook spoke, "Halla, who's your friend?" He said as he lifted his eyebrow. I chuckled, "This is Sowon." I said, she nodded, "Nice to meet you." Jungkook responded with a nod, "You too, I'm Jungkook. Well I'm gonna go, see you back at the house." He said as he carried off.

"You guys live together?" She asked as we walked out the doors. "Yea, we were adopted with 5 other boys, 2 of them are actually supposed to be here." I lied.. I felt bad for lying but what was I supposed to do? Tell her I got put into a lab to get injections all up in me to make me meta-human? I couldn't take the chances of someone finding out my identity. Speaking of which, before I left school Jin had to cast a spell on me that would change my facial structure more sharper, and my hair was blonde to people. But the boys could see me the way I was originally viewed.

It was now 6 PM and I didn't have homework at this university, it was just a ton of classwork, however, when there were tests I have to study.

I felt a sudden spark of energy rush through me as I laid on the couch in the living room. I jerked up from the couch and rushed upstairs, Hoseok must've known something because he ran up with me. I ran to Taehyung's door and slowly opened it. He was still down..
I walked to his bedside and sat there. "Hoseok, get Jungkook." I said. "Why?" He responded. "Just do it."
Jungkook soon appeared in the room, "Kookie, go into Tae's mind and find if his nerves are awake." I said gently. "Okay."

His eyes turned a bright red as his pupils dilated. Black waves were radiating off his body. "He's.. awake.. but he won't open his eyes. His mind is putting him in his worse nightmare, he's so shaken that he won't wake up. Baekhyun put him in a not only a paralyzation but also tainted his imagination. He thinks he's awake, but he's not." He said. "Can't you do something to wake him up!?" I said. "I can try to get into his mind to the point he sees me and he'll have no choice but to wake up." He sounded hesitant. I nodded, "Do it, Jungkook. It's been 5 days." I said.
Jungkook stayed still for a long time, I guess he was in Tae's mind by now... Taehyung then started twitching. His eyes flew open as Jungkook fell down to the ground. Hoseok rose up his hand creating some sort of bubble that would hold Jungkook up.

I rushed to Taehyung. "Are you okay?" I asked as I pushed his brown hair back. "You're alive?" He asked me, I tilted my head confused, "W-What? Of course I'm alive.. why wouldn't I be..?" I asked. "Y-You were killed by Baekhyun." His words hit me like a brick.

"Well.. He didn't." I said. "Can you guys leave for a minute?" He glared at Hoseok and Jungkook. They nodded and teleported out the room. "Baekhyun tinted your mind and paralyzed you. Jungkook said you were awake but at the same time you weren't. I came here everyday to see if you would wake up, but something felt different and exciting when I felt the adrenaline rush through me, and I guess you were fighting it.. But why would you think Baekhyun was killing me?" I asked. "Jungkook was right, Baekhyun put me in my worst nightmare... Which was you getting hurt." He said bluntly. "T-Tae.. Nothing's going to happen to me.." I said as I stroked his hair. He put his hands on my wrist, just for hold.

It stayed silent for a moment, but it was a nice silence. "Can I ask you something..?" Taehyung asked. I nodded, "Yea, what?" I responded. "Do you have feelings for me?" He was very straightforward, wow. I paused for a moment, I then opened my mouth, "Yes."
He smirked, "Really?" I nodded, embarrassingly.
"My feelings for you are strong, it's like once I first saw you I knew you had to be mine. So.. be mine?" He asked. I giggled, "Sounds good."

His hands intertwined with mine and I laid down on his chest. Tears rolled my down eyes out of happiness. "Why are you crying?" He asked as he held me up. "I'm just really happy you're okay." I sobbed out. "I won't let anything happen to you, take my word for it." He said as he pecked my forehead.
I stayed in his arms for the rest of the night. He had a grip on me, it wasn't too tight, but it made me feel safe. I slept in the crook of his neck as the cold air came through the window.

"Goodnight, Tae." I said. "Night, babe." He said.
I then fell asleep.
