Fighting for V

A kidnapping

It was raining. Agga was sitting in the bathtub, looking at her phone, making sure she would be updated with her daily Kpop news.

“Oh, L.Joe has just bought a new pet bird?” She said with a slight feeling of surprise, since she was convinced he didn’t enjoy the company of birds, and was highly allergic.

“Meh.” She shrugged, and slid further down the news-feed, when one specific article caught eye. She gasped, and suddenly it felt like something had punched her in the stomach. She dropped her phone on the floor, and put her hands to her stomach, as all the air left her body.

“V… V has…” she stuttered, as her eyes started flickering violently, and all her previous feelings were replaced with a negative feeling of nervousness. She tried getting up from the bathtub, but it felt like all feelings and all power had suddenly lost her body. She clung to the side, as she grabbed her towel, and ran to her room as fast as she could. There, she dropped her towel, put on her nightclothes, and grabbed her computer faster than she’s ever thought possible. Her slender fingers flew over the keyboard, as she nervously typed the words she’d never thought she’d ever see, into the Google search-box.

“V has been kidnapped!”

She skimmed through the hundreds of thousands of different articles concerning the matter of a certain missing member of the famous Kpop band BTS. They all confirmed it. Agga’s favourite member, V, or Kim Taehyung, had been missing for the past 34 hours, and had now been confirmed to be kidnapped. Her heart skipped a beat, and that was the last thing she remembered before collapsing unto the cold and unwelcoming floor of her room.

Her eyes opened, and the first thing she saw was an unfamiliar white ceiling staring down on her from above. She winked a few times, and tried figuring out where she was. It didn’t take long, since she quickly noticed her parents by her side, staring confused at her.

“Mum… Dad…?” She said with a slightly confused voice, and looked up into their bright but heavily concerned eyes.

“Oh Dear… We heard you faint in your room, so we called a doctor as soon as possible, but he says that nothing very serious happened, except the fact that you’ve hurt your head a bit, and need to stay here for some time. They suspect you may have had a small concussion. How are you feeling?” her mother asked, with a slightly raised eyebrow.

“I am fine… Or, not really,” Agga shrugged. “Can we leave the hospital now? I… have something to do.” She said quickly, moving her legs off the bed, and trying to stand. She was quickly stopped, though, as her father grabbed her by the arm, and pushed her down into the bed again.

“Young lady, you aren’t going anywhere for the next 24 hours, as the doctor needs to confirm a few things, to make sure you are okay. Me and mum will come collect you tomorrow evening, so just stay here and wait, in the meantime, okay?” He said.

Agga simply nodded, and her parents left the building, which gave her plenty of time to do some more research on the case of V missing.

Agga was quickly horrified, as she found out that no one had been doing much to dig further down in the investigation of finding the missing V. No one had a clue where he might have gone, which annoyed her heavily. It was almost as if, she felt like she could do better at finding him, all by herself… Perhaps she could? She knew nearly everything there was to know about V – she might have better odds at finding him herself?

“Oh my god…” She suddenly thought, as the idea of investigating this case herself popped into her mind. It wasn’t like there was anything that could hold her back – She might have been a university student, but she was more than eighteen and had both the money and the experience of travelling by herself, since she’d been working in the airport for a few years now, while studying. Plus, she’d definitely get a reasonable discount on tickets to South Korea, since she worked there anyway. It was a great idea!

“I will do this” She mumbled to herself. “Definitely.”

Just as she started planning the whole trip in her mind, she remembered that she was currently in a hospital, and not allowed to leave. But… that didn’t mean that she couldn’t?

With the clothes she’d been wearing when fainting, her nightclothes on, she quickly managed to escape the hospital, sneak into her own house since her parents weren’t home, pack a bag, and head off to the airport, and buy tickets for the next flight to South Korea. Perhaps it wasn’t the wisest or most considerate choice, but it was something she had to do. For V. She had to fight for V.
