Bonding Desire

Chapter 1

The line continued to slowly move, and I felt the excitement build up inside of me. I was going to meet BTS! And most importantly, my bias, Jungkook. At last, I could see the white table, and I craned my neck to get a glimpse of the boys. My eyes narrowed. Kookie. He looked like he would rather be in hell than sitting at the table. He greeted the fans with a look full of annoyance, and gave them the most pathetic high five I had ever seen. I could see the slight disappointment in the fans’ faces. I walked up to the table, standing directly in front of him, but I acted as if he didn’t exist.
“Aren’t you going to give me a high five? You paid like 200 dollars to meet us.”
“Why would I high five someone who looks like he could care less about his fans. I paid 200 dollars to meet BTS. Whether you’re a part of that or not is up to you.” I left the stunned idol, and moved on to Jin, who was smiling brightly at the girl ahead of me. Jungkook may be a famous idol, but that doesn’t mean I have to treat him any differently. I heard a chair screech behind me before a hand clasped tightly on my wrist, and yanked me towards the table. Jin had jumped from his chair and tried to calm the maknae, but Jungkook paid him no piece of mind. The look of pure rage in his eyes caught me off guard, but I couldn’t let myself waver.
“Take back what you said.”
“Apologize to all of the fans who paid to see your awful attitude.”
“I don’t have anything to apologize for.”
“Then I have nothing to take back.”
“Take her to the waiting room!” He released my wrist, and clicked his tongue while walking back to his seat. A hand gripped my shoulder, pushing me away from the table, and the crowd of curious fans.

“Hey wait!” The door was slammed in my face before my cries of protest could be heard. I didn’t even know where I was. Is this legal? Kidnapping is illegal isn’t it? Is this technically kidnapping? I plopped onto the couch with a huff. This was all because that burnt kookie decided to be on his period today. At least there’s food. I looked at the array of dishes laid out on the table. Score! They have mini sausages! I piled a few on my plate before leaning back and munching on the meaty delicacies. Who knows how long I’ll be in here for.

Jungkook

“YAH!” I cringed at Hyung’s voice. I knew it was coming for me eventually. “Really Jungkook? I thought you got over these moody fits when you became of age. I mean what even happened out there!? First you act like you don’t care about your fans, and then you’re calling security on one of them for just telling the truth?”
“I know Hyung, I screwed up.”
“Yeah you did. And you’re going to fix it yourself.” I watched him storm off towards the dressing room. Jin sure looked angelic in public, but you didn’t want to cross him. He was really like a mom. I knew what I did was wrong, but that girl just... No one had ever treated me like that before. I’m not letting my guard down. I can’t lose to her. Now I just have to find her.

Main Character

I yelped as the door slammed open. I had jumped from the couch in fear at the figure in front of me. Jungkook. I watched his sharp features soften as he saw my fearful state. He ran his hand through his hair, and I couldn’t help but stare at his profile. He was my bias after all.
“Look I’m sorry...”
“Why.”
“What? What do you mean why?”
“Why are you apologizing to me. While my experience hasn’t been the most pleasant, I asked for it by opening my big fat mouth. But the other fans didn’t do anything, so why are you apologizing to me?”
“Look it doesn’t matter now. The fans are gone.”
“And at least a seventh of them will go home really upset.”
“A seventh?”
“There are seven members, so about a seventh of the fans will have you as their bias. Probably even more. Who knows. But if I were you, I would feel like complete crap.”
“Yeah well, you’re not me.”
“I didn’t think media could cover up and lie about so much, but they completely changed your personality. Forget the innocent golden maknae, you’re just downright rude.”
“You don’t even know me.”
“You’re right, I don’t, and I hope I never do.”
“All of those fans would kill to be in your place right now.”
“That may be true, but none of them have the guts to go against their own bias.” My hand flew to my mouth. Well there goes that.
“So I’m your bias huh?”
“What does it matter to you? I’m just another fan.”
“Oh no, you are not just another fan,” he whispered while backing me up against the wall. “I’ve never met a fan like you, and I’ve certainly never been attracted to one before.” What is he talking about? I tried to push him away, but he was too strong for my weak arms. “Just come with me,” he whispered in my ear. My spine tingled, and my cheeks grew hot at the close contact. He grabbed my wrist and led me out of the room.

“Well aren’t you two looking close.” I snatched my wrist from Jungkook’s grasp and took a few steps away from him. Jimin chuckled at my reaction. I looked around at the 6 members in front of me.
“I’m really sorry for how he acted earlier, it was a bit uncalled for.” I looked at Seokjin and smirked.
“A bit?” The oldest member shot a glare at the maknae.
“How can we make it up to you?”
“Make it up to me?”
“What if we gave her a bunch of merchandise.”
“We could always refund her money.”
“Free tickets to our next concert in America?”
“I really don’t need anything.” No one heard me
“Can she come with us to South Korea and be our translator?”
“We have Namjoon for that.”
“Can I just go home?”
“No!” They all yelled in unison. I held up my hands in defeat. I saw Taehyung whisper something to Namjoon. His eyes widened making me curious as to what he said.
“We want you to come to South Korea with us.”
“You want me to up and leave my home and move to another country? How does that benefit me at all?”
“We will pay for your college and living costs, and in return, you become our personal manager.”
“Don’t you already have a manager?”
“A personal manager is different. You take care of the things that are more private.”
“And what if I say no?”
“Why are you so stubborn?! Can’t you just be grateful for this opportunity?” Jungkook spat. I turned my head and raised an eyebrow at him.
“From what I remember, I’m the one who you’re trying to make up to,” I snapped back.
“Have you forgotten who I am?” He took a step towards me.
“Have you forgotten I don’t care?” I shortened the distance even more. Our heads snapped down to our hands when we heard a loud click. The silver handcuffs hung loosely on our wrists. Jungkook tried to pull away, hard, resulting in a loss of balance and a sharp pain in my wrist. I yelped as tears started filling my eyes. Seokjin rushed to my side and began inspecting my wrist. Jungkook could care less about the pain I was in.
“Remove them hyung.”
“I’ve never met someone who can compete with your attitude Jungkook. This will be good for you.”
“Namjoon is having one of his philosophical moments. Once he decides to do something, it’s set. I’m sorry, but can you just deal with it until he moves on?” Jin whispered to me.
“But how will this work? You guys have to fly back to Korea. I can’t be seen in public with you guys, especially not like this.” I looked up at Jungkook who was giving Namjoon a death glare.
“We’ll take special precautions to keep your identity safe.” I nodded reluctantly before standing up.
“I’ll have to transfer from my college here. I’m not taking any classes right now, so it shouldn’t be a big deal.” I sighed. My mother passed away when I was 12 and I never knew my father, so I don’t really have any family to say goodbye to.”
“Wait, you’re not seriously going along with this are you?”
“Why? Are you against it?”
“Extremely!”
“Then I’m extremely for it,” I smirked.

“So the point is to make me look like a dude?”
“Pretty much. We’ll just say you’re our new assistant, and it’ll be much easier to get away with if they think you’re a guy. Don’t need any rumors of a scandal going around.” I glanced at myself in the full-length mirror. My long brown hair was nipped and tucked into a snapback, sunglasses covered my hazel eyes, and a mask covered the rest of my face. A large sweatshirt concealed my curves, and a pair of sweatpants hung loosely on my hips.
“Aren’t people going to think I’m a homeless man?”
“We can just say your luggage was lost, and this was the only thing you had to wear.”
“I still don’t understand why you’re doing this.” I looked at the grumpy pest standing next to me.
“Well first, it doesn’t really look like I have a choice. Namjoon isn’t going to take these off until he wants to. Second, because you’re completely against it.”
“So you’re doing this to purposely irritate me?”
“If that’s how you wanna take it, sure,” I smirked. He rolled his eyes.
“Why do I have to be stuck with the most infectious girl in the world
“You mean vexatious.”
“What?”
“I’m the most vexatious girl in the world, not the most infectious.” He smirked.
“Great. You’re a smart alec too.”
“Not really. That was a pretty obvious mistake.” He snorted.
“Are you ready yet? Can we go now?” Worry crossed my face as I thought about what was going to happen. I was about to be spotted in public with BTS, but as a guy.

“You know, I’ve never met Korean with naturally brown hair and hazel eyes.” I glanced up at the maknae.
“I’m half. My father was white and my mother was Korean. Until I was 12, I had dark brown eyes and stick straight black hair, but I guess my dad’s genes decided to take over when I went through puberty.”
“TMI.”
“You brought it up.”
“Do you hate your father?” I was caught completely off guard. I’ve never talked about my dad and no one bothered to ask about him either. I pretended to ignore his question and looked out the window. “Do you hate me?” I slowly turned my head to look at him. His eyes were plastered to the fidgeting hands in his lap.
“No,” I firmly stated. His head snapped up to meet my eyes, a look of relief on his face. He leaned towards the right side of my head to whisper in my ear.
“It must be really unfortunate that I’m so likable, because you just make my blood boil.”
