Hard Work

Yoongi sat still in the makeup chair on the set of After School Club, it was the day before Christmas. He looked down at his phone to reread the message from his girlfriend. Grinning at the thought of being able to call Kokyung that he tried to think of what to say if they asked about her. Bang-nim had mentioned that there were a couple questions in the screening that were about the woman in the pictures with him.

The young couple stood in Kokyung's apartment, the sound of a variety show playing in the background. Kokyung was at the counter in her kitchen making a pot of tea for the pair, Yoongi casually leaned against the counter watching her pick through the collection of teas she had sitting on the back of the counter top.
He looked over her; a smile on his face.
Her long pastel colored hair was wound into a messy but atop her head, her bangs pinned back. She turned to face him.
"Yoongi-oppa, it'll be a few minutes."
He nodded slightly and looked down at her.
"So I was wondering what your answer was about the questions? How far would you prefer I go with talking about our relationship?"

There was a pause, she bit her bottom lip in silence and seemed to be thinking. After a few moments of silence she began to speak.
"I think you should answer whatever they ask, I doubt it will really affect me. If it does that's okay. I'm not famous or in a spotlight-"
"Well, not yet."
"It won't be anytime soon. So I would just answer the questions as they are asked. You can share whatever you're comfortable with."
Their eyes met and he saw the kindness in her light brown eyes, he smiled softly at her.

Yoongi shifted beside Jimin uncomfortably, he was nervous about questions but he didn't want to seem too nervous.
Eric looked at Suga as he said something in English, he caught most of it. 'Relationship'. That was the keyword, after a few seconds his co-host translated what he had said into Korean.
"Is it true that you're in a relationship?" The female Jimin asked, a smile on her lips.
"Ne." Suga nodded, the butterflies that whirled around his stomach once again.
"She isn't an idol, is she?" Eric asked, this time in Korean.
"No, she isn't. She's a ballet student and the Universal Ballet Academy."
"Aah! That is the academy your group worked with right after your debut, correct?"
"Ne." Rap Monster answered quickly, as if trying to alleviate some of the tension that was building on Yoongi.
"Ah! So on to Boy In Luv, please tell us about the title track." Eric seemed to catch the notion that was put off by the group about the ballet academy questions and moved on quickly.

He looked at the reply on his phone.
- Possibly at Gugsu Wangjo, ramen sounds good to me.
The young rapper pulled on his coat and called out to the room "I'm leaving."
"Tell Kokyung-noona I said hello!" Tae's teasing voice called.
"Aish." Yoongi grumbled as he opened the front door to the dorm.
He stepped out into the cold air of the winter. There was a light dusting of snow coming down from the sky.

Kokyung let out a sigh as she finished changing after class, it was Christmas but Ms. Kyuriakin had insisted they still hold class. It was mostly because she wanted to talk about the Nutcracker Suit and explain that they, as a class would be holding auditions the day after Christmas. This would be a part of the Seoul Ballet's Christmas Pageant they held after the holidays was over. She began to think about her steps and what she wanted to do for the audition. There was a light tap on her shoulder, Kokyung quickly turned to be faced with her middle aged ballet instructor and mentor.
"Kokyung, I wanted you to have this gift. I hope that you treasure it. Also, I was watching a show on the television last night. You're with that young wrapping from the group we had you teach? I'm very proud to hear that. I do hope he treats you well."
"Wrapping?"
"Yes, talks fast? Music? Idol group?"
"Ah! Ne, ne." She bowed her head.
"Good. Well, schastlivogo Rozhdestva!"
"Meli Keuliseumaseu."

Kokyung looked down at her phone and saw a reply lighting her screen.
- I'll meet you there, I know you had class. I'll get us a table and order some tea.
She smiled to herself and got off the train at her station, she walked up the streets of Seoul towards the ramen house. It came into view quickly as she trekked across the powdery cityscape.
She pulled open the door and looked around for Yoongi, she saw Haebin standing beside her him.
"Kokyung-ah! I'm so glad to see you, did you have to stay longer?" Haebin greeted her with a large smile.
"Ne, Ms. Kyuriyakin needed to talk to me about tomorrow for longer."
"You'll be auditioning I'm assuming?"
"Ne."

Kokyung looked at Yoongi who was awkwardly watching her encounter with her classmate/friend. She bit back a giggle and quickly made her way to the rapper. She watched a smile form on his lips as she came closer to him.
"Hey." He greeted with a smile.
"Meli Keulisemaseu." She said quietly with a small grin.
"How was class?"
"Long, sorry I'm so late. Ms. Kyuriyakin kept me after class to give me a gift. She mentioned seeing you on ASC as well."
"Oh? Was it a good response?"
"Ne, she seemed very happy."
"Good, PD-nim is happy as well."
