Young & Beautiful with a hurt soul.

Ding ding ding ~~
I stood outside a home, where a family had picked me for adoption, it was finalized yet. They had to spend time with me first to see if they like me. I'm a 17 year old still in the foster care program. I had my backpack with a few packed clothes and items. I carried my guitar in my hand. After waiting a few minutes the door finally opens. A tall guy had answered the door looking at me strangely.



I'm sorry? Who are you? He asked.

I'm Lee Hi.. I'm from the adoption agency..

Oh, come in then. He signaled me to come inside the house.

My parents are actually out doing some errands but you could wait in the living room? Or we have a patio outside? he pointed at the back door.

I need some air so I'll go outside.. I bowed and walked outside.

This guy was kinda rude.. I don't understand what was his issue.. I wonder who he is. I walked outside and sat on the patio swing. I pulled my guitar out and started to sing.

" My heart is gold but my hands are cold. Are you deranged like me? Are you strange like me? Lighting up matches just to swallow up the flame like me? Call yourself like a hurricane like me? Pointing fingers cause you'll never take the blame like me? "



I sang my heart out, flowing with rhythm. I came to a stop when I felt like someone watching me. I didn't see anyone so I kept singing.


I stopped and took a deep breath. I looked up but to see the same guy staring at me with his window opened. I made eye contact with him but he looked down quick.



I got up and put my guitar up and walked inside to the living room waiting for his parents. I sat down on the couch and waited for them. A few minutes later a couple walks in holding shopping bags.
