chapter 4
I didn’t want to be sitting in this meeting with Hyun-suk. Ever since that day the air between us had been extremely awkward. I wasn’t going to apologize for what happened but at the same time I did feel slightly bad that Bo-hui was his niece, not to mention he had caught me red handed after having slept with her. There wasn’t much for us to say to each other, we were both trying to keep our professionalism about us. I avoided eye contact as much as possible always looking off to the side without trying to let the others know that I had royally fucked up. Of course they knew that there had been a girl that day but I wasn’t about to tell them that it had been YG’s niece.
The meeting was dragging on and the longer it lasted the higher the tension rose. Was I the only one that was feeling it? Everyone looked perfectly fine and while YG seemed to be acting odd it did not appear to have to do with me, instead he seemed distracted. His phone chimed and he immediately reached for it causing every eye in the room to turn in his direction. “Are you expecting an important call?” Seok-yang asked as YG set the phone down in disappointment.
“Ah! Oh sorry. I am waiting to hear from my nieces friend Bo-hui was very sick this morning.”
“I told you that you need to put a stop to LOEN working her as hard as they do. Didn’t you have a talk with one of the CEO’s about giving her a lighter schedule?” Seok-yang spoke as if we weren’t in the middle of a meeting and no one else was in the room with the two of them. Not that I minded I was finding out more about Bo-hui and that excited me.
“I went to but she found out and wouldn’t let me.”
As if talking about her had summoned her to the room the doors opened and she stepped in along with the girl from the club and Seok-yang’s assistant. “I’m sorry I tried to stop them but they weren’t listening.” The assistant looked extremely distraught but my attention was brought to the face of Bo-hui.
She looked extremely pale, as if she were a white sheet, and she was unfocused. “Unc-” She didn’t even get the full word out before she burst into tears and collapsed to the ground. The girl next to her tried to catch her but ended up being dragged along down with her. I stood so quick that I nearly knocked my chair backwards and rushed towards them. I got to her just as YG did and despite his obvious displeasure, helped her to stand and lead her to my discarded chair. The room was silent except for her crying and the girls and YG’s attempts at trying to calm her down. Kneeling in front of her I grabbed her face in my hands and made her look me in the eyes “its ok Bo-hui. You can tell me what’s wrong.” I gave her a meek smile. She could trust me and she knew it, she had said she would always trust me. She did not react the way that I had expected her to. Her hands flung out in a motion to push me away from her and she immediately stood up and went into the arms of her Uncle.
“Ah, sorry G-dragon, Bo-hui is very upset right now and she doesn’t know who bigbang is so she has no interest in being comforted by a stranger.” The girl’s words stung. I was not a stranger. Why didn’t Bo-hui react to me at all?
“We’ll continue this meeting at a later date for now you can all leave.”
I didn’t want to leave. I wanted to stay here and find out what was wrong with Bo-hui. Unfortunately, teayang grabbed ahold of my arm and pulled me along with the rest of the group. “Are you ok hyung? Sungri asked as we got out of the room.
I glanced at each of the members confused faces off of the odd way that I had reacted to the female in the room we had just exited. “That’s her. The girl from the club” that was all I had to say. They knew who I was talking about, how could they not it wasn’t like I had been quite about the events of that night. They had seen her before we had left the club that night and I was all to obliged to brag to them, mind you I never once stated that she was related to YG.
“Oh…” they didn’t say much else, what could they say? They now knew why I had not been in the best of moods whenever YG decided to come around, which happened to be a lot as of late.
