I won't fall for it!
Unexpected
<< Hayoung POV>>
"Get up, Hayoung! It's seven!" someone is shouting in my ears.
I tries to cover my ears with my pillow but someone snatches it away which makes me groan in annoyance.
"Hayoung! You are going to be late if you don't wake up now!" the same person yells and shakes me on my shoulders. I can't tolerate this anymore. I jump up from bed.
My eyes fluttered open. It is Mum.
"Breakfast is already on the table. If you don't get ready in 20 minutes, I am not driving you to school. I am already late for work!" Mum ordered. She looks at the clock on the wall and sighed. Before leaving my room, she warned me to hurry up.
"Fine fine." I waved her off.
Mum shakes her head, displeased.
I look at the clock --- 7.15 a.m. ! I am supposed to reach school by 8.00 a.m., how am I supposed to get ready in such a small amount of time? I hurried into the bathroom.
By the time I am out of the bathroom, it's already 7.35! I rummaged through my closet to find a clean set of uniform. But I can't find any. Just then, I remembered that I haven't wash my uniforms for long and they are still in the laundry room. Mum decided not to help me wash my uniform after the "clothes-incident". About two months ago, I stuffed a packet of tissue in my pocket and forgotten to take it out. When Mum was washing my clothes in the washing machine, together with her own clothes, the tissues 'exploded' making all the other clothes which were washing stuck with small pieces of tissues. That made Mum so mad that she swear in her life not to help me with my laundry anymore. So here I am. Forgetting to do my laundry every day.
I grabbed a unicorn pullover and a denim jeans from the closet and hurriedly get change. I was about to comb my hair when Mum opened the door knot and stomped inside.
"Oh Hayoung! Are you done?" Mum crossed her arm and stared at me angrily. If looks could kill, I will be on the ground already --- she is as mad as bull!
I laughed sheepishly and replied, "Sorry Mum. 5 more minutes?"
Mum sighed and said, "I give you five more minutes. If you are not ready by then, you are going to school by yourself!" She stomped out of my room.
I found a purple rubber band lying on my dressing table. I took it and tied a bun with my hair.
I grabbed my bag-pack from my bed and hurried downstairs.
Mum is in the living room, reading the newspaper. When she heard me coming down from above, she looked at me and slightly tapped on her watch.
I look at the clock. 2 minutes. Dang it!
I gobbled down my breakfast.
After I had my breakfast, I grabbed my bag and followed Mum out of the house. I looked down at my watch. 7.45. It will take about 10 minutes for Mum to drive me to school if there's no traffic. I convince myself I will reach on time before the school bell rings. I won't be late.
*In school*
By the time Mum pulled the car to the school gate, it is 7.55. I heaved a sigh of relief. I thank Mum by giving her a peck on the cheek.
"Bye Mum!" I said while closing the car door gently.
"Next time you better get ready faster or else I won't wait for you again." Mum ranted again. She has been ranting about these since we left the house.
"Araso!" I waved her goodbye before going through the school gate.
I was walking through the hallway when someone grabbed me on my wrist. I spun around, it was Bomi. Bomi has been my best friend for a long time. She is really kind and cute, that is why I treasure her a lot, like my little sister.
"Yes Bomi." I can tell how excited Bomi is. Her eyebrows shot up and her eyes lit up. I haven't seen Bomi so excited for a long time, since her dog passed away.
Bomi pointed at a room not far away from us and squealed excitedly, "BTS! They are attending the high school here!"
I blinked my eyes twice and shuttered, "Did...did you just say B..BTS?"
Bomi nodded and asked, "Unnie, what's wrong? You look nervous."
I cleared my throat and denied, "No, I wasn't..."
Before I could finish my sentence, a group of boys walk towards me. I gasped.
"Bomi, I got to go. See you during lunch." I tapped her shoulder gently and hurried away. Bomi looked confused and tilted her head to her left slightly.
"Isn't that Hayoung?" One of the boys asked.
I stop in my track. How can they recognise me after a year?
"Yes, it's Hayoung!" One of them exclaimed.
I bitted my lips nervously and was about to make for a run when someone grabbed me on the wrist. I spun around. When I see what's coming, I gulped.
Then I saw the other members began waking towards me.
I glanced at Bomi, she is looking at me confused.
"Hayoung, can't you recognise us?" Jimin said, smiling at me.
