The members walked away back to the company while me and Chanyeol took the bus back to the apartment. As soon as we got to the apartment building at the front, i saw Lily standing at the front of the building holding Yoori because she was asleep and it looked like with her small bag as well too. I ran towards Lily to talk to her as soon as i saw her.

Jooeun (*questions) : Lily ?
Lily (*looks up to see Jooeun & says) : Jooeun-ah. I called you a million times.
Lily (*asks) : why didn't you pick up ?
Jooeun : i was eating with the members.
Jooeun (*asks) : how did you know where i lived ?
Lily : your address was on your text message when you texted me this morning.
Jooeun (*asks) : what are you doing here ?

At this time, Chanyeol had caught up to me and Lily. He listened to everything we talked about.

Lily : my mom called last minute saying that she's coming to town in less than an hour.
Jooeun (*asks) : why is she here so late ?
Lily : she wanted to spend the week with me while she can before she leaves to go on vacation.
Jooeun (*asks) : and you haven't told her about Yoori ?
Lily : i will once she leaves this week.
Lily (*asks) : In the meantime, can you watch Yoori for me ?
Jooeun : i have to teach at the middle school.
Lily : it's just for this week. Let her stay at your place with Chanyeol.
Lily : feed her and take her to school.

Chanyeol began to pull me to the side to talk after hearing everything between me and Lily.

Chanyeol : you can't take care of a little girl Jooeun, not at my place.
Jooeun : Lily needs me right now and i'm the only person who can help her.
Jooeun : i've done it a lot of times before, it's all easy to me Chanyeol.
Chanyeol (*asks) : what if the media finds out about her ? what would i tell them then ?
Jooeun : you're just going to have to tell them the truth.
Jooeun : i promise you that it's just for this week.
Chanyeol : fine but you're taking full responsibility if people find out.
Jooeun : i will, i promise.

Jooeun turned back to Lily with Chanyeol standing behind her listening.

Jooeun (*asks Lily) : do you have her things ?
Lily : yeah, right here.
Jooeun : okay. We’ll look after her for you, just for the week.

Lily handed Yoori over to me who was still sleeping and Yoori’s bag of things.

Lily : i’ll call or text you once my mom is settled.
Jooeun : okay.
Lily : you know Yoori’s school and what she likes to eat.
Lily : Just bring her to school tomorrow morning and i’ll fetch her after school.
Lily : i’ll ask my boss to take a few hours off to hang out with her before i send her back to you.
Jooeun : alright. I know what to do Unnie.
Lily : thank you so much. You're the best, you know that.
Jooeun : i know.
Lily (*says to Chanyeol) : thanks Chanyeol.
Chanyeol : no problem.
Lily : bye Jooeun, Chanyeol.
Jooeun : drive safely back.
Lily : i will, bye.

Lily had already left leaving me and Chanyeol standing there speechless. I carried sleepy Yoori upstairs while Chanyeol brought up Yoori’s bag. We got up to the apartment and i brought Yoori to my bedroom for her to stay in during the week. I took off her shoes, socks, and jacket. Then i tucked her into bed as she slept the night away. I closed the door behind me and went into the living room with a pillow and blanket. Chanyeol was sitting on the couch looking at his phone. With the blanket and pillow, i walked over to the couch to stay for the week. Chanyeol looked up at me and questions…

Chanyeol (*asks) : what are you doing ?
Jooeun : i’ll stay out here for the week while Yoori stays in my room.
Chanyeol (*asks) : why don't you just sleep with her ?
Jooeun : she's not comfortable with sleeping with someone else besides her mom.
Jooeun : so it's best to leave her in the room by herself for her to sleep.
Chanyeol (*asks) : will you be okay sleeping out here by yourself ?
Jooeun (*sighs & says) : of course i am.
Chanyeol : you didn't have to do that for Lily.
Jooeun : i have to. She’s my best friend since the very beginning.
Jooeun : she was there for me when i couldn't find a place to live.
Jooeun : and i was there for her to help her take care of Yoori.
Jooeun : we’re friends for a reason.
Chanyeol (*says) : you're a good friend, you know that ?
Jooeun (*smiles & says) : i try to be.
Chanyeol : you should go to bed. You have to teach in the morning.
Jooeun : you have work in the morning as well.
Chanyeol (*smiles & says) : i’ll stay out here for a little while.

Both me and Chanyeol smiled at each other as we sat there together. After a while, i fell asleep throughout the morning.
