What Needs To Be Done
That Night
1 year earlier.....
Krystal's P.O.V.
We were sitting around the table filling about one-third of the space. When we noticed the guys coming in, Amber moved closer to me while Luna and Victoria scooted over to the right to close the space between them and Amber. I didn't move and inch since I was already on the edge. The order that the guys came and sat in was Suho, being first who sat down next to Victoria, and then followed by Xiumin, Chen, Lay, D.O., Sehun, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, and finally Kai. Kai was on the opposite edge to me. We're in the club that's under the hotel we're staying in for KCON. We all have to leave tomorrow to South Korea so we decided to rent the place out to have fun.
When we finished ordering our drinks, Girls Generation finally walked in. Seriously, how long can it take for nine girls to get ready to have fun? With Jessica and Taeyeon leading the way, they sat down at the table next to ours. Jessica is sitting behind me which means that she is sitting at the edge of the left corner(more like arc) of the table. It's been 10 minutes and all we did was talk and complimented each other on our performances leaving all of the bottles untouched. Finally, Xiumin, as the oldest boy, grabbed a bottle and asked "Are you ready?" while shaking up the expensive bottle of wine. We all started to cheer except for Suho and Victoria.
Xiumin popped opened the bottle and filled each wineglass halfway full and reached for the next bottle to finish up the distribution.
"Remember, we each have to finish our glass before going back to our rooms," Amber stated. Everyone started to drink as the music turned on. We also decided to start on beer. After Baekhyun finished drinking for the night, he went to grab Taeyeon to pull her towards the dance floor which meant that Chanyeol and Kai had to get out of their seats so that he can leave. Not only did Baekhyun get out but also D.O. and Lay so Sehun had to let them out and Kai ended up leaning over me to make way for them. I had my back rested against the back of the chair and right now, Kai's head was in front of mine. When I looked down, I could see his defined abs through the white muscle tee that he was wearing. I could also hear his heart racing, probably due to the alcohol, I thought. Once they got back to their seats, Sehun suggested a drinking competition.
1 hour has passed and everyone, including Girls Generation, were out on the dance floor except for me, Victoria, Suho, Sehun, and Kai. I started to feel dizzy, considering the amount that I drank, I thought that I would've been passed out by now. Sehun, Kai, and I were tied in the drinking game but we decided to just leave it that way. I started to stand up as I heard Victoria, who is perfectly fine, tell Kai to take his 'girlfriend' up to her room while handing him my room key. I started making my way up the stairs while clutching my head when I felt an arm sneak onto my waist.
Suho's P.O.V.
After Kaistal left, Sehun went out to the dance floor leaving me and Victoria alone. I already finished what I had to drink earlier in the night so I wasn't drunk or anything. I looked over at Victoria to see her hesitatingly pick up her cup that she had never touched before and taking a small sip then putting it back down. I picked up her cup and drank the rest for her in one gulp so that she didn't have time to stop me. After I sat the cup down, she rested her head on my shoulder.
"You know you didn't need to do that, right?" she stated.
"Come on, I know you don't drink and also, what's the big deal anyways?"
"Nothing," she replied.
It was almost midnight so I grabbed her by her wrist and pulled her up to my room.
"I'll take the couch," she said tiredly.
"Why don't we take the bed?" I asked her.
"I don't want you to feel uncomfortable."
"Hey!" I turned her body to face to me. "You know I'm never uncomfortable with you." I whispered into her right ear and pulled her into a hug. We ended up falling asleep in our usual cuddling position on the king sized bed.
Krystal's P.O.V.
I woke up and my vision was blurry for a second. I felt bare skin against my hands and I quickly pulled them away. I looked up to see someone just as surprised as me looking down on me. Kai. He looked like he also just woke up. Quickly, he pulled his arms that were hugging my waist back and sat up. I surveyed my surrounding to see that I was it was my hotel room. I looked down on the ground to see that my spandex shorts that I wore under my dress-shirt dress and my belt that I had on yesterday night was just lying on there. Next to that, I saw Kai's white muscle tee that he had on. I could not remember what happened yesterday night, well.......if anything happened at all. I was about to get off of the bed when I felt Kai pull me back.
"Hey, I'm sorry for whatever that might've happened. I'll take full responsibility." he said but he looked extremely serious and fully awake.
"Nothing happened, okay?" I coldly replied while trying to survive my stupid hangover headache.
"Even if nothing did happen, I still want to take responsibility."
I gave him a confused look.
"Listen, I've never gotten enough courage to tell you that I think I'm in love with you. I know that you were mad about SM making up that lie that we're actually dating but I feel like we should give it a chance," he said all at once but slowly and in his gentle and soft voice.
We have been friends for a really long time and it is true that whenever I get drunk or am sleepy, I always think about him. Maybe I do have feelings for him?
I started feeling tears running down my face and suddenly, I was in Kai's bare chest. He pulled me down to comfort me and give me one last hug.
"It's okay, I get your answer." He let me of of his warm embrace and began to make his way towards the door. I quickly ran and gave him a back hug.
"Please don't leave," I told him. It was only 6:30 and all of our flight leaves at noon. I felt another stupid headache come up and he ended up carrying me back to the bed and we both fell back to sleep.
