Wake up call

You woke up to the sound of an alarm going off, and groaned. It was far too early to wake up, but it wasn’t your alarm anyway, but the boy it was meant to wake up wasn’t budging. You stretched, one of those long and slow stretches that made you want to go right back to sleep like a kitten who has briefly woken from a nap in the sun. Instead of going back to sleep though, you rolled over and came face to face with Jiwon. You took a moment to just wake him in, sleeping with his guard down no one to impress or perform for, just him lost in his dreams. His mouth was open in exhausted state, a slight snore escaped his body.
You leaned forward and kissed his nose, “Jiwon,” you whispered as you moved away from him again, “Jiwon! It’s time to get up, your alarm went off.” He grumbled something in his sleep, you weren’t even sure what language he’d spoken but was pretty sure he’d meant something like “5 more minutes, please”. Unfortunately, you knew he’d be upset with himself if he didn’t get up soon and leave for work. He’d only slept for about 4 hours, but that was longer than he managed some nights. “Kim Jiwon! Get up, right now!!!” you attempted to be more forceful with him. The corners of his mouth turned up in a quick little smile and before you realized what was happening you found yourself engulfed in a hug, half on the bed and half on you he whined about getting up.
You realized he had in fact been awake this whole time. He’d heard the alarm go off and simply waited for you to wake him up. Jiwon rolled back and forth on the bed, squishing you and continuing to whine and laugh as you poked him in the ribs attempting to get him to move, and finally he laid back down in his spot. He turned on his side to look at you, and you turned to face him. Your huff of disappointment when he moved away from you earned a chuckle from him, and he obligingly came back and gave you another kiss but this one was different.
