Taehyung's POV

I was grinning like an idiot. My cheeks were sore from how much I was smiling and the other members were starting to give me strange looks.

"Oy, You okay?" Hoseok slapped me hard on the back.

I nodded and got into my position in the studio, glancing expectantly at the glass door. "Are we being filmed today?"

"Why, are you hoping that Jaehwa would come and watch you dance?" Yoongi teased.

"No, I just-" My face was burning. "Just wondering."

He chuckled behind me and rested his elbow on my shoulder. "If you don't practice properly, I think Hoseok will jump on you today."

We laughed just enough before ducking out of Hoseok's way. He gave us a disgruntled face before heading behind the stereo to play the music. I watched as he pointed a finger at Namjoon and made a face. Hoseok was an awesome dancer, but when it came to rehearsing, he was worse than Satan.

Despite that, I felt light. Nothing could put me out of my happy mood, well, nothing except maybe Jungkook.

It started when we went for lunch. I had wanted to find Jaehwa, and maybe reunite with her back at our old spot in the cafeteria.

"Tae-Hyung!" Jungkook stopped me before I could leave.

I turned to look at him, hands fidgeting with the door handle and impatient to leave. "What is it?"

"Let's go to that place for chicken." He grinned.

I furrowed my brows.

"The place down town?" I shook my head. "That's a twenty-minute drive from here."

Jungkook blinked and his blinding white teeth peeked out at me. "Yeah, and it's good chicken."

I tilted my head to study his expression. Was he being serious right now?

Out of the corners of my eyes, I caught a glimpse of Jin getting ready to leave the studio door. With a grin, I reached over my head to wave at him.

"Hyung!"

Jungkook smile disappeared and his eyes widened in surprise. He hurriedly tried to push my arm back down but I was able to spin out of his reach.

"Jungkookie wants to go to that chicken place down town!" I grinned evilly.

"Tae!" Jungkook whispered angrily at me but I didn't care.

Jin walked over to join us. "Oh really? Namjoon and Jimin wanted to go there the other day, why don't we all go?"

Jungkook's face lit up. "All of us! The whole team! Yes!"

My smile fell flat. "Hyung," I whined. "I don't want chicken today."

"Tae wanted to go the cafeteria," Yoongi blew a puff of air behind my ear, making me yelp in surprise. "He wanted to meet up with Jaehwa."

I blushed hard, feeling the eyes of the members on me. "I-"

"Oh, I get it." Jin teased and looped his arm around Jungkook's shoulder. "What about you maknae? Don't you want to go too?"

Jungkook's face went scarlet and I distinctly heard him curse under his breath. "N-no, why would I!"

The members chuckled at his embarrassed expression and pushed us out the door. "How about, you two both go meet her, and we'll go for chicken."

"No!" We both cried out at the same time.

I tossed Jungkook a glare. Who was he to complain. What's his deal anyway.

Without much thought, I straightened up and walked towards the cafeteria. My eyes were set
beside me, making sure that Jungkook wasn't following. And yet, to my disappointment, when I walked into the entrance of the cafeteria, Jungkook was right there at my heels.

"What are you even doing here!" I glowered.

He didn't say anything and pushed into the cafeteria. I watched him get in line with a tray, his eyes darting around the seats, searching.

"Jae!" His eyes lit up as he spotted the girl sitting in our usual spot.

I watched him wave excitedly at her and couldn't help but frown. What a hypocrite.

I sacrificed lunch for a few seconds with Jaehwa before Jungkook was bound to ruin it all. I skipped hurriedly to where she was sitting with a few co-workers and beamed at her.

Her eyes made contact with mine, her expression turned rather regretful. "T-Taehyung."

"Mind if I sit with you?" I rocked back and forth on my heels.

She looked at the other co-workers who flushed and ducked their head in response. "Well, iff they don't mind-"

"Great!"Jungkook, who came out from nowhere, put his tray down in the empty spot right next to Jaehwa. With a loud screeching of the chairs, he sat down and nicked a piece of kimchi from her plate, stuffing it into his mouth.

Jaehwa cleared her throat. "I don't think we're close enough for you to do that."

Jungkook looked offended. "Was it single sided then?"

Jaehwa ignored him and started to eat silently. As if on command, the rest of the workers ate in silence as well.

I tossed a glare at Jungkook who seemed to be enjoying himself and took the spot across Jaehwa. She looked at the empty table before me and looked at me in question.

"Are you not eating?" Her eyes were filled with concern but she continued to keep her distance.

I bit my lip and stared at her tray of food, my face began to flush instantly despite there not being anything to be embarrassed about. "M-maybe later."

Jaehwa nibbled on her chopsticks and decided not to question it anymore. I watched her lift her shoulders slightly in a shrug and return to her meal as if nothing had happened. Her hazel brown hair fell down her shoulders and she tucked them back with a brush of her hand. Her coral pink lips looked plump as she chewed her food diligently.

Was this what it was like to like someone? To see someone as pretty as he-

"You're staring." Jungkook broke through my thoughts and pointed a stern finger at me.

"Wha-" The colour in my cheeks rose and my chest suddenly felt stuffy. My eyes flew to Jaehwa. Had she noticed?

Jaehwa stared at me blankly then behind me at the cafeteria. "Ah, they're closing up. You still should probably eat something,"

The other workers nodded in agreement, all of them meeting my eyes with concern.

"Here," Jaehwa pushed her tray of half eaten food towards me. "If you don't mind with my left overs-"

My heart skipped a beat at her offer and I extended my hands to take the tray from her, if not for Jungkook.

"No wait," He grabbed her tray before I could. "My tray is fuller, Tae- hyung should eat more."

We simply stared at each other for a good few minutes before I understood what he was up to. At that moment, Jungkook looked incredibly annoying to me. So much so that I had started to have thoughts of kicking him out of the cafeteria.

Not that I would win of course.

With a reluctant grunt, I pulled Jungkook's tray towards me and started to eat with a disgruntled look on my face. I could feel the workers and Jaehwa's eyes on me as I scorfed down the food without hesitation.

Half way into my meal, Jaehwa stood up to leave but was stopped by Jungkook's hand before I could say anything.

"You're leaving?" He asked with that look of innocence he always had.

She nodded and stared at the hand he had on her. "I have to get back to work."

"Oh!" Jungkook let go of her and finished up the last scraps on his plate. "I'll come with you."

What?

"Why?" She asked skeptically and a sigh of relief escaped my mouth.

Exactly, why?

"I want to help you." Jungkook looked at me with a smirk before turning Jaehwa around by the shoulders. "Finish up your meal Tae Hyung."

I gripped my chopsticks so hard that the metal was starting to dig into my skin. I watched two of them leave the cafeteria with the other workers following behind them. All that was left was the plate of food that Jungkook had given me and-

I slammed the chopsticks on the table and swallowed hard on the remnants of the food in my mouth. No longer in the mood to eat, I stood up with a stomach full of fury and glared at the exit where Jungkook's shadow could still be seen.

I've had enough of him.
