Ling's POV

I walked out of the doctor's office early morning the next day. I was told to come for weekly checkups to make sure my condition doesn't worsen. With a sigh, I walked down the hall to the elevator, hoping to have a nap once I return to the dorm.

"Kris, you can't ignore this forever."

I blinked at the familiar Chinese words and peeked over the corner of the hallway. Kris and another man was standing in the hallway. By the looks of it, they appeared to be in an argument about something.

"I'm telling you, this is going to bite you later on." The other guy was saying.

"Then I'll wait for that bite to come." Kris said angrily and turned away from him. He walked towards me and I hid back behind the wall.

What were they talking about? I turned around and headed back towards the elevator.

"It's you again." He caught me and pulled me back by the shoulder. I looked up at him in surprise, my heart thumping against my chest. Maybe I shouldn't have eavesdropped.

"W-what are you ignoring?" I asked finally.

"You were eavesdropping." He scoffed. "Stop butting your nose into other people's business."

He pushed past me and I jogged to keep up with him. "Are you sick? What are you doing at the hospital anyway?"

He ignored me and jabbed his finger on the elevator button. "Personal business. Why, was I supposed to report to you?"

I frowned. Was he sassing me? Two can play that game.

"What, am I not allowed to ask?" I said quickly. "Who are you to tell me what I'm allowed to and not allowed to know?"

He paused then turned to me. "You girls, you're all the same, you know that? Each and one of you think you're all so high and mighty."

I raised an eyebrow and stretched out my words. "Really? You must've met a lot of girls then to speak for all of us."

His eyes widened for a brief moment before he returned to his emotionless expression. "Get lost Ling."

"And if I don't?"

"Oh right, I forgot, you have the members to protect you don't you?" He snickered. "How long did it take for you to seduce all the members Ling?"

My mouth dropped open and I stomped my feet down to keep myself from kicking him. "Excuse me?"

He laughed and pressed the elevator button again.

I have never met anyone so rude in my life!

When the elevator came I didn't go in. He shot me a crooked smile before the door closed making me angrier than I was already. I let out a sigh and headed for the stair well, that is, before a hand stopped me.

"Ling, I came to pick you up," It was Kai.

"Oh! Thanks!" I beamed at him and the two of us waited for the next elevator.

"How was your checkup?"

"Fine I guess," I muttered. "I have a question Kai."

He looked at me and waited.

"Is Kris sick? I saw him here earlier."

His expression turned dark and he stared back at the elevator. His jaw hardened and I saw a vein creep up the side of his forehead. "Did you and Kris talk?"

I paused then nodded. "Yeah, why?"

"Ling, stay away from him." He said flatly, barely giving me enough time to finish my sentence.

"Do you not like him?" Aren't you guys a team?

He looked down at his feet and said nothing. I heaved a sigh and stopped questioning it any more. It wasn't like I liked talking to Kris.

I followed Kai to his next schedule where I had some time to catch up with Nam Soon. The two of us went to a nearby coffee shop where we were able to get a corner spot, away from the public eye.

"You're a celebrity now Ling, be careful with where you are seen and who you're seen with." He said, passing me an Americano.

"Well look at you, all manager like now." I chuckled.

He flushed and scratched his head. "Yeah, EXO is a lot of work."

I grinned. "Both you and Borin have changed so much. It's nice."

His smile faded and he leaned forward. "Borin's changed more than you think. I would stay away from her if I were you."

"Stay away?" I sipped my coffee. "What are you talking about, Borin is our friend."

He opened his mouth then closed it slowly. What was he hiding?

"Just, listen to me Ling, Borin isn't the person you think she is."

I waited for an explanation, but he didn't give me one. I was just about to ask him about it when he changed the subject abruptly.

"So, are you excited for shooting the show?"

This is the second time, I've been warned about a person. This time, about a friend of mine. Just what was going on?

Luhan's POV

When I finished my shoot, Xiumin walked into my dressing room and leaned casually on the counter next to me. We exchanged a moment of glances before he sat down on a chair.

"Ling remembered parts of her memories." He said hesitantly. "Parts that are wrong."

"What did she remember?" I let out a gasp. "Borin?"

He paused then shook his head. "You."

Me? She remembered me? A smile crept up my lips and I tried hard to supress it.

"There's nothing to smile about." He said bitterly. "They're wrong memories of you, she remembers you two dating."

I blinked. Dating?

Xiumin stood up and threw his hands in the air. "Yeah! You two!"

"So what now?" I asked furrowing my brows. It wasn't bad that she remembers it like that, but, it'd be the same as lying to her.

"I don't know!" He bellowed in frustration. "The doctor said not to push her memories!"
I nodded slowly.

"But just so you don't get ahead of yourself." He slammed his hand down on the counter. "Ling and I were together. There was never a Ling and you. Do you understand?"

I frowned and narrowed my eyes at him. "Is that all you came here to tell me?"

"I'm telling you so you know your place Luhan." He said firmly. "Don't get in my way."

He turned and headed for the door.

Don't get in your way?

"Are you going to make her remember?" I called out just as he reached the door.

He turned to face me. "If I don't make her remember, I'll help her fall in love with me again."

The confidence in his voice was overwhelming. My mind was wiped blank from his words and all I could do was watch him leave.

He's changed from back then.

If I don't want to lose, I need to know what I want, and soon.

Hey guys x3 back with another update! Gunna give you guys 2 chapters today just because this one was kinda short and filler ish.

Also just a fore-warning,
I will be gone in the middle of next week as I will be traveling to visit my family. And well, I'm still not sure if this site will be available there, so I'm just going to say now that I am going on a month hiatus for the month of May. I know, it hasn't been very long since I started... but I promise, I will be working on it while I travel, and when I come back, you guys will get a whole lotta updates :D
