The One I Love

Haeun looked around the school as her and Teacher Kim were walking to her class. Teacher Kim stopped in front of a closed door. She turned around and looked at Haeun.

“Wait here,” she said.

Haeun nodded and looked out the window behind her. Teacher Kim opened the door and walked into the classroom, causing everyone to look forward.

“Class, we have a new student,” Teacher Kim said.

Most of the boys cheered and some of the girls began talking to each other, wondering who it is.

“Okay, okay, okay. Quiet down! She’s a transfer from China,” she said.

The boy’s cheers grew louder. A boy sitting in the front of the classroom was keeping quiet. He looked out the door wondering who it was, because he was also from China. His name: Lu Han, known as Luhan. He was part of the EXO pack. He wasn’t the leader, but the strongest. He was one of the four people in the pack that were from China. He could sense that the other members were also curious. Teacher Kim looked out the door.

“Come in,” she said.

Haeun sighed.

I hope I can go to school here as a normal kid. Don’t get into fights Lee Haeun. Try to be nice.

She forced herself to walk into the classroom. Right when she did all eyes were on her. Everyone was completely silent. Luhan looked at her and looked away, uninterested. Haeun scoffed quietly and looked at the idiots before her.

“Introduce yourself,” Teacher Kim said.

Haeun sighed quietly and slightly bowed.

“Lee Haeun iminda,” Haeun said coldly.

Everyone smiled at her, except twelve uninterested people. Twelve handsomes boys to be exact.

At least I’ll have twelve less people to worry about. Thanks boys.

“O-okay, then,” Teacher Kim said. “You can sit next to this handsome boy sitting here right in front of you.”

There are so many other seats, why did you have to pick that one. That kid looks like he’s pissed.

Haeun sighed and sat down in the empty seat next to him.

“Introduce yourself the her,” Teacher Kim said to the boy.

The boy turned his head to look at Haeun and held out his hand.

“I’m Luhan,” he said.

Haeun just looked at his hand and looked away.

“Nice to meet you,” Haeun said while looking at the board.

“Haeun, it’s not polite when you don’t look at people while talking to them,” Teacher Kim said.

“I never said I was polite,” Haeun said.

Teacher Kim laughed awkwardly. Luhan rolled his eyes and put his hand down and crossed his arms and also looked at the board.

“Good, I didn’t want to shake your hand either,” he said coldly.

Haeun crossed her arms and legs.

“Then why did you hold your hand out to me?” she asked as she looked at him.

“Mwyo?” Luhan scoffed and looked at her.

If stares could kill, they’d both be dead.

“Okay!” Teacher Kim said, trying to make sure that the two of them don’t rip each other heads off. “Study, okay? Don’t fight,” she said.

Luhan and Haeun looked away. Some of the EXO wolves chuckled at their hyung’s attitude. It’s been awhile since they’ve seen him this angry...especially at a girl. Luhan usually kept to himself, and never really complained about anything. Teacher Kim walked out of the classroom. The students went back to gossiping about the new student. Haeun had the best hearing in her family, so of course she could hear what they were saying.

“She’s so pretty,” said a girl.

“She’s probably eighteen, right?” another girl asked.

“We should become friends with her, she looked so cool just now talking Luhan.”

“I know right? No one ever has the guts to talk to Luhan, but EXO.”

EXO? Haeun thought. Who the hell is EXO? Some kind of gang? Haeun chuckled quietly to herself. How could this girly guy sitting next to me be part of a gang?

“She’s cute,” a guy said.

“Let’s make a bet,” said another guy.

“What?”

“If I can make her my girlfriend by the end of the year, then pay me 100,000won."

“Call.”

Haeun rolled her eyes.

Just a bunch of idiots.
