School was over and it was the weekend. I asked my parents to take me to the hospital. I’m just waiting for the results to come out. My parents aren’t with me at the moment. They’re working. I told them that I would come by myself. I sat in the doctor’s office and looked around the room. I was so familiar with this room that it. My doctor was like my best friend. Her name is Dr. Kwon. She opened the door and sat in front of me, behind her desk. Her face looked like she had been crying.

“What’s wrong Unni?” I asked.

She shook her head.

“Your condition...your condition has worsen, a lot,” she said sadly.

“Wh-what? Wor-worsen? By how much?” I said these words slowly.

“You need to get a transplant soon, if not…” she couldn’t finish her sentence.

“I know,” I said, “I’ll die.”

“But if we find a donor in time-”

“But we won’t,” I said.

“Don’t worry, we will. I’ll call your parents-”

“No!” I stood up. “Don’t.”

“Why,” she stood up and looked at me. She was almost in tears.

“I don’t want them to know...not yet anyway. They’re already stress about the hotel, and InHo, I’ll tell him when the time’s right.”

“Fine, but promise me, promise me that you’ll tell them.”

“I will.”
