Getting Down With B.A.P

Kat’s POV

Me and Maranda start to head out the door to meet the rest of the crew for the race. I hear someone walk up behind us and we both turn around.

“Who are you racing?” Zelo asks me.

“The leader of Zombie Wolf, Min Jun.” I respond.

I start to get a strange and concerned look from Dae Hyun and Zelo. “You’re racing who?” Dae Hyun asked me hoping he misheard.

“She said Min Jun.” Zelo replies.

“No.” Dae Hyun says shaking his head at me.

“What do you mean “no”?” I ask him.

“I mean no you’re not racing him. That’s too dangerous to go against him.”

“You want to bet?” I ask Dae Hyun.

“Yeah I want to fucking bet. You can’t go against him. He already has killed multiple people and I would like for you not to be one.” He says to me.

“How do you know about him?” Maranda asks him.

“His pictures are always on the news and there have been wanted posters on him.”

“Joey has done a lot of research on him. I think she will be fine.” Maranda says trying to calm him down.

“Yeah until she does something stupid.” Zelo says under his breath.

“I heard that Zelo. I won’t do anything stupid as long as he doesn’t piss me off.” I say to him.

“Would you both feel better if you just came to it?” Maranda suggests.

“And besides Joey is going to be right there with me.” I remind them.

“Well then I’m going.” I hear Yong Guk say as he walks in the room.

“Then let’s just have a big bunny party and have the other three bunnies join us.” I say.

“And see the two Crazy American White Girls in action? I’m in.” Him Chan says.

“Ok. So Jong Up, Young Jae. You want to go?” Maranda asks them.

“Sure let’s go.” Jong Up says as they both get off the couch.

“Guys I’m going to be late.” I whine to them.

We all get into the cars and head to the race.

Maranda’s POV

Me and the boys were on the roof of one of the surrounding buildings in case the cops were called so they wouldn’t be caught at an illegal race. I looked down at my tablet to see what the race track is going to be. I hear my walky-talky start to make noise.

“Maranda.” Kat says.

“Yes?”

“I’m lonely.” She says pathetically to me.

“You should be looking at the track. Not complaining about being lonely.” I say to her.

“I already did. It looks like a black top.” She says sarcastically to me.

“Smart ass.” I say to her.

“Dae Hyun! I’m lonely and Maranda won’t play with me.” She says.

I hand Dae Hyun the walky and study the track again. They start talking and I decided not to pay attention. Most of it was straight with four turns total. But two of them were back to back. I grab the walky from Dae Hyun mid-sentence.

“Hey did you see the two sharp turns you have?” I asked her.

“Yeah but they’re way down there.” Kat tells me.

“Yeah but that second one you’re probably going to have to drift to make it.”

“Oh yay! They’re both right though aren’t they?”

“Yeah but make sure you watch for the other cars that are racing. Most of them might not realize it. Cause there is six cars total.”

“Ok so get ahead and stay ahead.”

“Or hold back till you pass it.”

“There’s no fun in that.”

“Do what you want I’m just telling you which would be a better idea.”

“Yes Mommy. The half-naked lady is going to the middle.”

“You ready Josephine?” I ask into the other walky.

“Yep all set Manny.” He responds.

“Make sure she doesn’t get into too much trouble.”

“No promises. I might be joining her.” He says laughing.

I put down the walky and go to the edge of the roof to see the beginning. Yong Guk and Dae Hyun come up behind me to see them go. The girl does her signals and drops a flag to the ground.

Kat’s POV

The half-naked lady drops the flag and we all take off. Joey gets behind me fast along with Min Jun and Min Jae. I see Joey in my rear view holding off both of them. Min Jae starts to get close to me as we get to the first turn. We both make it through with Joey and Min Jun close behind. I drift into the next turn and see Min Jae crash into a building. Joey and Min Jun slide past him.

“Kat! Min Jae is blocking the other racers. It’s just the three of you now.” Maranda says through my radio.

“Joey you good?” I ask him.

“Great back here. He isn’t doing too much to pass me right now. I think he is waiting to be closer to the finish.” He says to me.

“Don’t let your guard down.”

We get closer to the finish and I make the last turn with both of them still on my tail. All of a sudden Min Jun taps Joey’s bumper causing him to spin. Min Jun speeds past him as he corrects himself.

“Jo Jo you good?” I say to him.

“Fine Kit Kat. I’m almost on his tail.” He says to me.

“Be careful guys he fights dirty.” Maranda says to us.

Then I hear my back windshield shatter. I turn to look and see Min Jun holding a gun out the window. He starts to shoot at my car again. Fucker’s shooting my car!

“STOP BLOWING HOLES IN MY CAR!” I scream out the window.

“Kat GOD DAMMIT! Get the fuck outta there!” Maranda says to me. “Joey ram him!”

“You got it!” He says hitting the back tire with his car.

Min Jun starts to spin and is shooting towards me. I hear a loud bang and then it all goes black.

Maranda’s POV

“Joey ram him!” I say into the walky-talky.

He hits the rear tire and sends both cars spinning. Min Jun continued to shoot and one hit Kat’s car again. I see her car blow up from the bullet hitting the nos.

“Joey! Get her out! We’re on our way down!” I say to him getting off the roof and running through the building to the road. The boys not far behind me.

We get down there and Joey and Tyron are pulling her out.

“Bonni call an ambulance!” Dae Hyun shouts at her.

She starts to dial and is talking to the emergency line. The guys set her down carefully out of the way of any other cars. Dae Hyun comes up behind them and grabs Kat’s shoulders.

“Kat wake up!” He says lightly trying to shake her awake. “God Dammit Kat this isn’t a fucking game! Wake up!”

I walk up behind him and put my hand on his shoulder as I kneel down. “Dae Hyun you have to go!”

“I’m not leaving her!” He shouts at me.

“You don’t have a choice! The cops are going to be here any second! You have to go!” I say back to him.

“Come on man we gotta get outta here!” Yong Guk says to him grabbing his arm. The other boys had already started to run to the cars.

“Kat! Wake up!” Dae Hyun continues on trying to get her conscious. She starts to shift a little and barely opens her eyes. “Kat. I love you.”
