If Dreams Could Tell

Baekhee's POV

I threw the alarm clock across the room, missing Jin by inches.

Since when was he here?

"Oh, I forgot this was not J-hope's room." He said and shut the door behind him without saying sorry.

I rolled my eyes and got changed into my uniform. Today I would have to go back to school from being suspended for the rest of the week with the guys.

Is Jin transferring here too? Who am I kidding? Of course he is. I just hope he doesn't sit next to me.


I wasn't surprised when we arrived at school. The girls were already fangirling over Jin. I had walked to school early, not wanting to be seen with Bts.

The students were already looking at me in disgust. I sighed as I walked past them.

"Baekhee!" I turned to see V. "Why didn't you walk with us?"

I pulled V into an empty classroom. "I can't risk being seen with you guys anymore. I don't want your fangirls to chase me down." I said.

He pouted, "Does that mean we can't hang out with you anymore?"

"We can. But not in school."

"Fine." V said before going to class. I stopped by my locker not surprised to see writing all over it, saying, 'Slut!' Or 'You're disgusting!' 'Stay away from our Oppas!' And even, 'Go kill yourself!'

Of course I ignored it. I wasn't gonna do something as stupid as that.

I grabbed my books and went to class.

Our teacher nodded at Jin before pointing to the empty seat next to me. I covered my face with my hands.

"I can still see you." Jin said sitting beside me.

"Whatever." I put my hands back on the table. "Isn't the teacher gonna introduce you? After all you just transferred." I asked.

"I've actually been here before I went overseas. I take it that you transferred here a few months ago? I haven't seen you before I went overseas." He said.

"You can say that."

The bell rang.

"Alright class!" Our teacher Mrs. Kim slammed a ruler on someone's desk. "Today, we have a new student." She announced.

I put my head on the desk.

"Jae Seok, you can come in now." She said.

Jae Seok?

The door slid open.

"Name's Jae Seok. Kim Jae Seok." He smirked once he spotted me. The girls were fawning over him already.

Jin nudged me, "Is that him? The person Jimin told me about."

All I could do was nod frozen. Jaw Seok, what was he doing here? I could see V glancing at me worriedly from the corner of my eye.

"Please sit in the seat behind Baekhee-ssi." Mrs. Kim said. The girls glared.

Unconsciously, I grabbed onto Jin's hand. He looked at me surprised. I squeezed his hands tightly as Jae Seok walked pass and sat down in his seat directly behind me.

Jin squeezed my hand back, "Calm down. It's okay." He whispered.

That same soothing voice. Exactly like his, telling me I wasn't useless. Except this time for a different reason.

For the rest of the period, I didn't dare look back.

The bell rang signaling the end of period 1. I quickly packed up my stuff and left leaving Jin behind me. I couldn't stand being there for another second.

As I was walking to my next class, I got slammed into a wall making me drop my books.

My eyes widen in fear.

Jae Seok grabbed onto my chin and leaned in close moving my head to the left and the right.

"You haven't changed one bit." He said.

My legs turned into jelly as I slowly sank to the floor. Jae Seok smirked satisfied seeing me terrified. He laughed and walked away.

After a few minutes, I got up and collected my books. The bell had rang a few minutes ago, but I wasn't in the mood to go to class. Instead, I went to the roof.

I sat down on the bench and put my hand over my heart. In the whole process of him slamming me to the wall, my heart was still beating fast. Not because of how scared I was. But because of admiration.

Do I still love him?

The door to the roof opened and closed.

"You don't look like the person to skip class." Jin said.

"Neither do you. You're not setting a good example for the guys, Jin Eomma."

He laughed and sat on the other side of the bench. "Whatcha thinking about?"

"Certainly none of your business." I said.

"Is it about Jae Seok?" Jin asked.

"I said its none of your business!"

He raised both his hands up, "Your choice if you want to tell me or not."

"Exactly."

He chuckled.


I had skipped the rest of the periods before lunch with Jin just chilling on the roof. It all made me forget about Jae Seok.

"Aren't you gonna sit with us?" He asked.

I shook my head, "No."

He shrugged and went to join the others.

I grabbed my lunch and walked past the students who were whispering and pointing, "Isn't that the girl that payed our Oppas so she can do whatever she wants with them?"

These rumors are really getting ridiculous.

I headed to the roof as usual until Jungkook grabbed onto my wrist.

He frowned, "I told you to eat with us! Why do you always go on the roof?"

"First of all, because it's quiet, and second of all, I can't risk being seen with you guys anymore."

"Them we'll eat with you on the roof." Jungkook stubbornly said.

But I knew I couldn't say no to him. I sighed, "Do whatever you want."

He grinned, "Wait for me, I'll get the others."


"I have never ate on the roof before." Jimin said once they've reached the roof.

We sat in a circle as I sat in between Jin and Jungkook.

"At least I'm away from those fangirls." Jin said, "I had almost forgot about them."

"Remember Jae Seok?" V asks.

I know where this is leading to. I glared but he ignored me.


No One's POV

"Remember Jae Seok?" V asks.

Suga's face darkened, "Oh him." He said.

"He transferred here today. I don't know what to say."

They all turned and looked at you. You gulped, "I'm scared." You simply said.

They sighed, "Don't worry Baekhee-ah." Rap Mon said, "We'll protect you."

"Yeah!" Jungkook smiled next to you.

Your eyes widen as you smiled genuinely. "Thanks guys." You said wiping some tears away.

"Ay don't cry! You're gonna make me cry too." Jimin said.

"I'm just glad that I have friends like you guys." You said.

Jin widened his eyes at you. You seemed like a tough girl that would never show your tears when he met you. He guess he was wrong. Jin handed you a handkerchief.

"I don't need it." You shoved it back to him, but in the end took it back to wipe your tears.

"You totally don't need it." He laughed.

You glared.

"You guys look like a married couple." Suga smirked.

"Sometimes I really hate you guys." You said.

All they did was grin.

You noticed that V was leaning on the railing on the other side of the roof. He looked so calm. You walked over leaving the others.

V lifted his foot and stood on the railing.

"Yah! What are you doing?" You ran over to him.

V looked at you shocked. "Nothing." He said

"What do you mean nothing?" You frowned at his dark circles. "Have you been getting enough sleep?" You asked worried.

"Sometimes I want to be free." V said, "Like a butterfly. I want to spread my wings and fly away."

"What are you talking about?" You looked at him confused. He softened his eyes at you. "Nothing let's go back." V pulled onto your arm.


V's POV

"Sometime's I want to be free." I said, "Like a butterfly. I want to spread my wings and fly away."

"What are you talking about?" Baekhee looked at me confused. I watched as the wind blew her hair. I stared into her eyes. She looked so beautiful then.

'What are you thinking V? J-hope likes her, you idiot.' I mentally scolded myself.

"Nothing, let's go back. I pulled onto her arm.


Rap Mon's POV

I watched as V walked over to the other side of the roof. I noticed his dark circles. Something must've happened to his parents again.

Last night before I went to sleep, V had called me over to his and J-hope's room.

Poor V was still struggling with his family. His alcoholic father was always abusing his mother. He couldn't take it anymore and ran away.

V got a call last night from his mother that his father was being too much. V still cares about her. He couldn't sleep according to J-hope who shared a room with him.

I sighed. V's gonna have to get over it soon. We were really worried about his health.


Baekhee's POV

That was weird. I let V drag me back.

Lunch period ended and we went back to class. Luckily, for the rest of the day I didn't see Jae Seok.
