If Dreams Could Tell

Baekhee's POV

"J-Jae Seok!" I backed away in fear.

He turned slightly and smirked. "Miss me?"

"Huh? Who's that?" V asked.

He ignored V, "Baekhee. My Baekhee. Why haven't you been answering my calls and texts?" Jae Seok touched my cheek with the back side of his hand.

"Don't touch me!" I sneered.

Out of all the people here, why do I have to see him?

"Ooh, touché." He then turned to Bts. "Name's Jae Seok. Kim Jae Seok." His smirk deepened and held out his hand to V.

Before V took it, Rap Monster slapped his hand away. "Who are you? Who are you to Baekhee?" He glared.

"Like I said. Name's Kim Jae Seok. What am I to Baekhee? You can say that I was her boyfriend. Or rather, ex boyfriend." He said.

"I thought you were still in America." I frowned.

"I was, but now I'm back. And healthy too." He said.

Jimin looked at me surprised. "You had a boyfriend?"

I refused to answer.

"She did. She's too pathetic to admit it, after all that." JaeSeok smiled sadistically. "Your dad wasn't much anyways. He was just a poor business man looking for money to support his family. Which he obviously failed at."

"Say that again." I growled grabbing onto his collar.

The bystanders stopped bowling and looked at us.

"Woah, slow it down." He put his hands up. I angrily let go and sighed. I know I was acting strong on the outside, but in the inside, I was shaking in fear.

"Well I'm off. Text me later." He bided goodbye. Once he was out of sight, my legs felt as if they turned into jelly. I slowly sank down to my knees.

"Gwenchana Baekhee?" Jungkook pulled me up. "What's your relationship with him anyways?"

"Like h-he s-said. He's my e-ex boyfri-" I shook with fear.

"Speak clearer, I can't understand." Suga said.

"Can we go to a safer place to talk?" I quietly asked.

We agreed to go back to their house.


We settled in the couch as we walked in. Jimin patted the spot next to him. "I won't pull a prank, I promise." He said.

Yeah right.

I sat next to him anyways.

"OKAY EVERYONE BE QUIET. Now Baekhee, tell us everything." V demanded playfully.

I burst out into tears.

They panicked. "What did we do?"

"V! You made her cry!"

"I'm not crying because of that." I said.

They sighed relieved and motioned me to go on.

"This was when I was still at middle school."


Flashback

Baekhee's POV

"Oh no I'm late again!" I looked at the time. "Appa! Why didn't you wake me up?"

"I did sweety. You said you'd wake up 5 minutes later."

I groaned and put on my uniform.

"Bye dad!" I waved.

I looked at the time. I have exactly 3 minutes before class starts. Luckily my house was close to the school.

I ran at a fast pace. I heard someone call my name and turned around. Seeing no one has called me, I turned around, but not before bumping into someone hard.

"Sorry! I didn't look where I was going." I apologized.

"No, it's my fault. I wasn't looking where I was going either." He smiled. "I'm Jae Seok." He held out his hand.

I smiled back. "Yoon Baekhee!"

The bell rang.

"Flubber nuggets! We're late!" He pulled me to class. "What do you have 1st period." Jae Seok asked.

"Science."

"Really? Me too!" He grinned.

Now that I think about it, his name seems pretty familiar.

Then it clicked. "You're the one that always gets detention." I said.

"That's a bad first impression." He sheepishly scratched the back of his head.

We opened the door.

"Why are both of you late?" Our teacher asks.

Jae Seok and I looked at each other and giggled.

The teacher sighed. "Take your seat. Come back after school to clean the classroom." She said.

"Ne." We said and sat down. There was 2 available seats in the back of the classroom.

For the rest of the period we joked around and wrote each other notes.

No One's POV

You guys were getting closer day by day. Jae Seok never failed to make your days brighter. You had fallen for that sweet and kind personality.

"I know we just met 2 weeks ago, crazy right? This might ruin our friendship but I just wanted to ask you, w-will you go out with me?" Jae Seok held out a rose.

You blushed. You had never been in an relationship before.

You smiled and took the rose. "Yes."


You and Jae Seok had been dating for 2 months. But those 2 months weren't like what you imagined. Jae Seok had changed. He wasn't that sweet childish boy anymore. He started to hang out with the 'bad boys' in the school. He never payed attention to you anymore. He never treated you like his girlfriend.

The both of you had graduated from middle school. You had never asked him about your relationship. You were too scared to. To think that the sweet kind boy had turned into one of the 'bad boys.' They had a symbol which contained an eagle with an cross.

Jae Seok at that time would go clubbing underage and drink. He would get into fights in and outside of school.

You couldn't take it anymore. You had finally decided to confront him.

"Jae Seok. We need to talk." You said to him.

He only smirked. "What is there to talk about? Loser!" The other students giggled.

You clenched your fist. "Just follow me." You pulled him to the roof. Where he first confessed.

"What do you want?" He asks lazily.

"What happened to us?" You frowned. "You don't even care about me anymore, do you?"

"You're right. I've never cared about you. I never loved you." He said. "Now are we done?"

"You've changed Jae Seok." You said as tears streamed down my face. "And we are done." You ran down the stairs from the roof.


You didn't care about anything else. All you thought was Jae Seok.

You think that you had fallen in love with that heartless jerk. 'He wasn't worth it.' You thought.

But all that convincing didn't help at all.

"Baekhee." Your dad came in. "What's wrong?"

"It's none of your business!" You yelled. "You wouldn't understand! All you do is work, work and work! You don't even care about your daughter anymore." You said. Oh how you would regret saying that.

"T-that's not true. Of course I care for you!" Your dad said.

"Then buy me food!" I said.

He sighed. "If that will make you better, then fine." Your dad got up and left the house.

A few minutes later, you could hear sirens outside your house. You finally decided to get up and get some fresh air.

You walked out to see what all the commotion was about.

You saw the last thing you wanted to see on the floor with blood all over the place. The person who you asked to buy you food. The only person that took care of you, left.

"Appa!" You screamed.

"Appa! Stay with me! Don't leave! I'm sorry! You know I didn't mean it!" You cried.

Your dad opened his eyes. "I don't blame you." He said. "It was true. You were right. I was too busy. All I do is work, work, and work." He laughed and spit out blood. "Be good. You'll find your path eventually." Your father had said before he looked at you for the last time.

"Appa!" You cried. "Don't go!" You shook him but he didn't budge.

You looked at the car who ran your dad over with. Your eyes widen in fear at the symbol. The eagle with a cross. Jae Seok and his gang had killed your father. They had just carelessly drove away.

You looked back at your dad. He was gone now. No one can replace him. No one will.

It was all your fault. If you hadn't asked him to buy you food, everything would have been fine. It was just that simple.

It didn't help that you had fallen in love with a murderer that killed your father.
