Exo's Pov

Suho ran after them, but they were already gone.

"Aish brats!" He ruffled his hair.

Suho notices a piece of notebook paper that was lying ok the floor.

"What's this?" He picked it up.

He smirked.

"I've got to tell them about this." Suho said walking back to their club.

"Hey, you're back. Where are they?" Kai asked expecting one of the Seventeen members to be dragged by him.

"They ran away. But that's not important right now. Come see this." Suho said as Exo huddled closer together. They all looked at the messy paper. It said in messy handwritings:

Its Hanuel's birthday tomorrow!

It is? 10/14?
-DK

How can you forget? What kind of friend are you?
-Seungkwan

Imma great friend. We to make a cake ASAP.
-DK

Teacher's coming. Ttyl.

"I know what you're thinking. But isn't it cruel to do it on her birthday?" Lay asked.

Luhan slapped Lay's arm. "No it isn't!"

"Ow. Please. Cover your hair. It bothers me."

Luhan pouted. "It's not my fault it's like this."

Haneul's Pov

"Hani! Happy birthday!" I woke up to find balloons and confetti all over the place. Hak and his friends, Vixx all handed me a present.

"Thank you!" I beamed at them.

"Now I know it's your birthday, but you need to go to school."
Hak said.

i immediately dropped my smile and frowned.

"Can't I skip for 1 day?" I asked.

"Hmm. Nope! Go change." Hak said as he motioned his friends out and closed the door behind him.

I fell back onto the bed. I didn't want to go to school. I would have detention with Seventeen and Exo for 3 hours. That would take up the most of the day. I wanted to spend more time with Seventeen...if they even remember it's my birthday.

4:00 A.M

Seventeen gathered together at Seungcheol's house to make a birthday cake for Haneul.

Seungcheol's Pov

"DK, Seungkwan! Wake up!" I yelled. We were getting nowhere to making a cake due to the members constantly falling asleep.

"Aye!"

"Hoshi! What are you doing? You're not suppose to put that much sugar in! That's too sweet!"

"Sorry!"

"Seungkwan stop sleeping."

"Mingyu! Wonwoo! Are you done preparing the gifts?" I heard a loud band and walked over.

I saw Mingyu and Wonwoo planking on the floor sleeping, the gifts not even half way done wrapping.

"This is gonna take longer than I thought." I sighed.

No One's Pov

"We're finally done!" Dino cheered.

Joshua read the clock.

7:20

"Oh no we're late for school!" He panicked.

"Seungcheol Hyung! Drive us there!" Woozi said.

"I don't know how to drive."

"Ugh! Then someone, grab the cake. Let's RUN!!"

Haneul's Pov

Seventeen was late. That's unusual. They were usually on time since Vernon rushes them anyways.

The door slammed open. Seventeen stood there panting.

"If you came any later, I would've marked the 13 of you absent." Mrs. Kim looked at them in disapproval.

"Sorry." They bowed 90 degrees.

"That's your first tardy for this class. Sit in your sits." She said.

A simple, "Hi." Would do. But they just avoided eye contact with me. What could be wrong?


The bell rang and I went up to talk to Wonwoo.

"Hey Wonwoo. Want to hang out after detention." I asked.

"O-oh uh I have to help my mom with something. Got to go! Bye!" He said.

"Bye." I said back disappointed.

By the end of the day, I had already asked all the Seventeen members (except for Hoshi. I was still feeling awkward around him) if they could hang out. But they all came up with excuses like, "I'm busy." Or "I have plans!"

I went to the detention room before anyone else.

I sat down on a random desk. What it something I did? Did I do anything wrong? I sighed and layed my head on the desk until someone sat down right next to me.


Baekhyun's Pov

If you asked me why I sat next to her, I don't know. But something attracted me to her. Like a magnet.

I put my head on the desk facing the back of her head. Suddenly she turned. The front of her face was facing me now.

She was just as surprised as me. She lifted her head.

"W-what are you doing here?" She asked.

"Hey, this is not just your detention room." I glared.

"Why did you sit next to me. Out of all the seats" I heard her mutter.

"Cause I can. Got a problem?"

She rolled her eyes and shook her head.

No One's Pov

Seungcheol set the cake box down onto the table in their dance club and went to the detention room.

A few moments later some of Exo came in.


Jeonghan's Pov

I was walking back from my last period to the detention room. Ugh. Until I notice bright neon colored little brats sneakily entering our dance room.

i hid behind a wall and watched as they switched the original cake to a disgusting vegetable cake (I think there are a few worms stocking out. Ew)

They threw the original cake into a plastic bag and threw it in the closet.

Why am i standing here? I need to do something.

I texted the Seventeen members about the switch in cakes and once the member left, I went in and took out the plastic bag from the closet.

i peered inside.

The cake was destroyed. The frosting had stuck to the plastic bag, and the cake looked terrible.

I let out a frustrated sigh. After all our hard work. The cake got destroyed.

I threw out the disgusting cake. Haneul is going to think that we didn't even try to make the cake.

No One's Pov

Jeonghan has told the rest of the Seventeen members secretly about what happened when he arrived at the detention room before the teacher came in.

"I expect no talking. This is to reflect on what you did wrong." Mrs. Lee said as she blocked the right side of her face, which happens to be where Luhan was sitting and walked out.

The 26 of them sat in silence. Until someone said, "It's all your guys fault."

"Seungkwan don't." Seungcheol warned

"What? No it isn't. It was obviously your guys." Chanyeol stomped his foot.

"No it's not. You neon maggots!" DK said

"Whatd'd you call us?" Kris growled.

"Do I hear talking? Mrs. Lee asked poking her head inside.

"Nope. It was your imagination songsaengnim." Haneul said.

"Is that so?"

Seventeen and Exo nodded.

They finally stayed silent the rest of the time.

Haneul's Pov

After detention, I went to grab my stuff in the dance room. The 13 boys snuck out early to do some whatever stuff.

The room was dark as someone close the door behind me.

I gasped. The light switches came on.

"Happy Birthday Haneul!!" Seventeen shouted.

"I thought you guys forgot!" I said hugging Woozi. I didn't even realize I was crying.

"Sorry that we were ignoring you. We wanted it to be a surprise." Jun said.

"But Haneul.." Mingyu looked guilty.

"Hmm?"

"The cake is destroyed. I swear we didn't do it on purpose."

"It's just a cake why make a big deal out of it?" I said.

"You're right." Seungcheol smiled.

"Why is it destroyed anyways?" I asked confused.

"Exo. They switched the cakes. But I threw out the other one."
Jeongan said.

"Of course they did that." I muttered.

"Let's get this party started!" Dino shouted and looked at his watch. "We still have 4 more hours before school closes."


No One's Pov

In the middle of the party, Hoshi pulled Haneul out of the dance club.

"Are we still friends?" Hoshi asked her.

"Of course! Why wouldn't we." Haneul said.

"Well I thought after all of that...you wouldn't."

"It's just a kiss. It's no big deal. I've gotten over it

"Its no big deal..." Hoshi muttered.

"Did you say anything?"

"Huh? No. So friends?" Hoshi held out his hands for her to shake.

"Friends." Haneul smiled.

"Lets go back in." He said.

"It's time for presents!" Woozi yelled.

"What were you two talking about?" Seungcheol asked Hoshi and Haneul.

The two of them just giggled.

"Secret!"
