Chapter 2 // Pitter Patter

pitter patter

The sound of the rain hitting the window plane. The rain falls onto the broken paintwork of the roof's of people's homes and their cars and bounces from every hard surface, and the mean streets. The storm drains piling up with bubbles with grey-brown run-off. The streets blacken, the leaves droop on the bowed branches

pitter patter

The heavy rain continued to fall and the sound changed to her ears. To her, the raindrops started to sound like an old radio coming to life hitting the used to be dry mean streets. But, after awhile the streets have been slightly flooded with water the sound began to soften. It became music to her ears.

She stared out the window observing the each raindrop. Each raindrop seemed to glisten one by one as it fell.

As this kept going on, her eyes seemed to feel heavy. Her grip on her pencil loosened making her drop it down onto her wooden table.

She entered her dream land again.

His warmth held her from behind into an embracing hug, which made her smile. She heard the sound of the crackling fire, and the nice smell of baked good.

"I love it when the two of us are like this together." A boy said with his husky, heavenly (and sexy- *COUGH*) voice. It sounded like warm music to her ears which made her smile.

She looked up and saw his gummy smile looking out to the window. But beneath his smile, he was afraid, and scared of the future, but he gives her that smile to reassure her he'll always be there for her, and he'll be okay. He was like a rainy day, the darkness and sadness. She, on the other hand, was his sunshine, his Sunny.

His black hair shone like the dark sea. The fire reflected in his hair as well which gave it an illusion of the moon shining brightly on the dark sea.

Something about him was wonderful. He was perfect. She loved him.

Knock Knock

She sprung to life hearing a knock on her door. Turning around the door opens revealing her mother. Her mother held a warm cup of hot chocolate to give to her daughter.

Her daughter was her everything, her only child, her only love. She always knew that she was dependent on herself due to the hardships in their lives including the disappearance of her father.

"Eunkyung, I got you some hot chocolate." Her mother said. Hearing the word hot chocolate made her smile and jump in the inside. That smile made her mother smile along with her. Her smile to Eunkyung was beautiful, her mother was not afraid of showing her chubby cheeks and the freckles sprinkled along her cheeks.

"Thank you so much. Can you place it on the table? I need to finish this up." Eunkyung pointed down onto the paper placed in front of her.

"Alright," Her mother placed the cup carefully onto the table and give her daughter a kiss before walking out.

Eunkyung looked down at her paper and saw the drawing on the paper and smiled. The drawing included his gummy smile along with his black hair.

After observing for awhile, she realized something. "He looks familiar..."

pitter patter

She picked up the mug and took a sip admiring her work. Her hidden passion drawing.
