My Boyfriend's Hot Bestfriend

2 Is Better Than 1

YOU

It had been 2 days after Jimin confessed to me under the waterfall. I had been in very hard time to look at him in the same way again. It was not like I didn’t like him, but it was more like, I couldn’t hold my own feeling in everytime I looked at him. I told Jimin all I want was just time.
He realized that I still loved Taehyung so much and it was not easy to erase that feeling. And I really didn’t want to hurt Taehyung.

Since Jimin confessed to me, we didn’t talk casually anymore. I avoided any physical contact with him. I would just stay quiet when he was around me, or when we were both alone. I thought everything would be awkward, but it was just so-so. We actually felt comfortable to each other without so much chatting like usual. Basically, Jimin didn’t avoid me. He was just being him. But I more like avoided him first. He knew it and he didn’t bother me though. And I was so grateful for that.

“_______, bring me cold Kimchi in the freezer!” My mom screamed from the outside.

It was Friday late afternoon. My mom prepared our dinner a little bit early today because there was carnival fairs in the village square. Yoora asked my mom if she could go, and my mom said she could go with me, but of course I would go, bringing Taehyung and... Jimin.

My mom decided to eat outside at the backyard. She said if we all need fresh air and new atmosphere. Taehyung helped my mom, preparing the table and wood chairs. We put some dishes and Samgyetang on the table already. But my mom forgot her cold Kimchi.

I ran to our kitchen quickly. I was in hurry when I saw Jimin was opening the freezer. He took out the cold kimchi that my mom ordered. He gave me a bowl of cold Kimchi. And he looked at me. He handed me that bowl. I took it, touching Jimin’s hand accidentally. Jimin grabbed my wrist faster, then he stared at my eyes. We didn’t talk or say anything, but Jimin kept staring at me with his soft gaze. I was blushing when he smirked. I released my wrist from his grip. Jimin didn’t force me, he let it go just like that. Jimin looked at me and smiled, showing off his eye-smile. I quickly came out from the kitchen. I ran to our backyard. I put my hand on my heartbeat. My heartbeats pumped faster and my face was burning.

“What the hell was that?” I mumbled to myself.

Jimin’s touch sent me a shiver, like strong electricity. I checked my temperature, pressing my palm on my cheek and forehead.

“Shit!” I cursed, feeling sick in sudden.

“_______, where’s my Kimchi?” My mom screamed again.

“Here!” I quickly woke up from the deep thought and approached my mom.

We ate our early dinner at 6 PM. It was bright and cool evening. The sky seemed clear and the air felt nice. I sat near my mom and my little sister. I tried my best not to sit near Jimin. And Jimin seemed fine with that.

“Tonight there’s carnival fairs in village square. You guys should go,” my mom told us.

“I’m going!” Yoora raised her hand excitedly.

Taehyung smiled at her. “I’m going too.”

Yoora’s eyes looked bright. “Really? Taehyung oppa will come with my eonni, right?”

Taehyung looked at me, waiting for my agreement. I gave him a simple nod.

“Yeah, of course.” Taehyung answered her.

“How about Jimin oppa?” Yoora asked Jimin suddenly.

Jimin seemed surprised getting that question. He stopped eating and he looked at her,
confused.

“Do you want oppa to come?” He asked Yoora doubtfully.

“Sure! Jimin oppa is my oppa too,” she said, smiling cutely.

Jimin looked at me. I looked away, looking down at my bowl.

“Hmm... I guess, oppa is better stay at home,”

“No. Jimin you go with us,” Taehyung told him.

I knew Jimin was considering me. Because I didn’t look excited he’s coming with us.

Actually, I really wanted him to go with me, Yoora and Taehyung but... our situation now was kind of complicated and I really confused with my own feeling about what I want.

“Jimin, just go with Yoora. She seems want you to go,” my mom told Jimin.

“Yes, oppa. Go with me, please.” Yoora pouted cutely. She looked at Jimin with her cute puppy eyes. I believed Jimin couldn’t stand this.

Jimin nodded his head finally and smiled at my little sister.

“Okay. Oppa will go.”

“YAY!” Yoora screamed excitedly.

When my mom was washing the dishes, Taehyung asked her to go with us too.

“Eomeoni, please go with us.”

My mom shook her head, smiling at him. “I’m too old for carnival fairs,”

“Come on, eomma.” I joined their conversation.

“It will be fun. You’re not too old for carnival fairs though,” I added.

My mom thought for seconds before she nodded her head, agreed.

“Eomma, I heard there’s trot festival, too, there. You don’t want to miss it,” I told her when we were walking to the village square.

“Sounds great!” My mom said.

I walked with my mom while Taehyung and Jimin were holding Yoora’s hand in her left and right side, walking behind me. It was like family time, but in complicated way.

The carnival fairs was very crowded. So many people went here to enjoy this beautiful night.
Yoora was so freaking excited with so many cute booths that they provided. We looked around.
Many games available, such as Rock Monster booth, Sand Art booth, Spin-A-Toy booth,
Baseball Toss booth, even School Store was there. There was also a ferris wheel. Yoora begged all of us to ride it with her. But of course my mom was too scared for that. She said she would just wait for us. At first, Jimin refused to go with us and preferred to accompany my mom instead, but my mom pushed him to join with Yoora.

After we bought the tickets, we all got in the red capsule of the ferris wheel. Jimin sat with
Yoora, facing me and Taehyung. Jimin sat in front of me, while Taehyung was sitting in front of Yoora. My knees touched Jimin’s knees. My tummy flared up weirdly. These butterflies again. I felt my face was burning. It was just our knees for pete’s sake! I avoided any eye-contact with Jimin though.

It started to move up spinning slowly. We all looked down at the outside from the glass window.
It was nice view from the above. I felt Taehyung gripping my hand and I looked at him and our linked hands. I smiled at him. He kissed me on my forehead in front of my little sister and Jimin. I was kind of surprised but I let him be.

“Taehyung oppa, when will you propose to _______ eonni?”

Suddenly we all stunned with Yoora’s innocent question.

“Yoora ya, it’s not like we’re getting married tommorow,” I rolled my eyes.

“Eonni, Taehyung oppa kissed you and he should be your husband later. Don’t you feel ashamed if he’s getting married with different girl?”

Yoora seemed innocent and she had no idea what she was talking about. But... she was right.
She got the point. Taehyung looked embarrassing. But he could hide it. “I love your sister. Don’t worry, Taehyung oppa won’t leave her.” Taehyung answered her, still holding my hand.

I smiled feeling so touched with my boyfriend’s words. I took a glance at Jimin. He was so calm and he didn’t show any expression. What was wrong with him? Did he forget his love confession to me? And why the hell I suddenly felt so disappointed and mad. Ugh! This confusing feeling again.

“Are you sure, oppa? Because you seem like you’ll break up with my eonni,” Yoora glared at him cutely, observing Taehyung’s face if he was lying.

I could sense if Taehyung didn’t feel comfortable and I flicked my little sister’s forehead softly.
“Yoora, stop it. Just trust him. If Taehyung will leave me one day, you can burn him alive.” Yoora laughed cutely. She showed her pinky finger to Taehyung’s face.

“Taehyung oppa should make a promise to me if you won’t leave my eonni,”

Taehyung looked at Jimin who was just watching all the situation calmly. I looked at them carefully. They were like talking head to head in silence. Before Taehyung could link his pinky finger with my little sister, Yoora already moved her finger to Jimin.

“How about Jimin oppa? Will you stay with _______ eonni to protect her?”

Without second thought or any doubt, Jimin immediately linked his pinky finger with Yoora’s.

“Jimin oppa promised.” He smiled at my sister.

“Pinky swear?”

“Pinky swear.” Jimin replied.

Looking at Jimin, I really wanted to kiss his lips, feeling so damn grateful he said that. My heart was so weak hearing Jimin’s simple words. It was just “promised” but... he sounded so real.

Taehyung seemed fine though and he felt relieved. Deep inside, I felt so sad Taehyung didn’t answer my little sister’s pinky promise. He even didn’t act like he wanted it. I sigh sadly.

After the ferris wheel, my sister wanted to go to Candy Factory.

“Eomma, can I buy those lollipop?” Yoora asked my mom.

“No. You can’t buy candy.” My mom told her.

Yoora pouted almost crying.

“Eomma... don’t be too harsh. She’s a kid after all, of course she likes candy.” I defended my little sister.

“I’m concern about her teeth.”

“Eomma, don’t worry. Yoora always brushes her teeth before sleep,” I said.

My mom sighed. “Alright. This old lady gave up. You can buy her candy,”

Yoora jumped on her feet, hugging my mom. “Thank you, eomma!”

She quickly pulled Taehyung’s wrist and they ran to Candy Factory.

I saw everything. It wasn’t only Yoora who’s excited and happy to see so many candies and colorful lollipops, but also my own boyfriend. Taehyung looked so freaking happy. He didn’t stop grinning his teeth, seeing all those stuff. In the end, they bought a full basket of lollipop candy for a month.

“Oh God, it’s too much, Taehyungah. How much did you spend money for this?” My mom looked speechless. She was ready to pay him back.

“Nah, it’s not that expensive, eomeonim. It’s affordable prices,” Taehyung said it happily, taking one of lollipops and he sucked it like a little kid.

After Candy Factory, we checked Starry Night Ring Toss. My sister wanted to get the big prize, which was getting a giant Teddy bear doll. Players were given the rope rings for 3 chances to loop as many stars as they can. I tried to toss the ring first, but I failed. I only got 3 stars. Even my mom tried it. She only got 2 stars. Yoora looked disappointed. So, Taehyung joined the fun with tossing the ring. But he only got 7 stars. We had to beat the record, more than 10 stars. So, we could get the giant Teddy bear.

The last player was Jimin. In the first try, Jimin only got 4 stars. And the second chance, he got 6 stars. But fortunately, in the last try, Jimin got 11 stars. He succeed to win the game. We all jumped happily. And Yoora got the giant Teddy bear. She hugged the doll, smiling cutely at Jimin.

“Jimin oppa, you are Jjang!” She pointed her thumb to Jimin.

Jimin just smiled back at her and ruffled her hair. Jimin secretly looked at me proudly. I was too shy to say thank you so, I hid myself behind Taehyung. I held my boyfriend’s hand. Jimin just smirked, looking at my rosy cheeks. I should’ve just stayed calm. He didn’t do anything though.
Jimin just looked at me for pete’s sake, nothing else!

Yoora walked happily, hugging her new Teddy bear. Across the Starry Night Ring Toss, there was a charity booth. “Eomma, that’s kissing booth!” Yoora pointed at the booth with pink and lips decoration everywhere.

“Yoora ya, you can’t go there. You’re underage!” My mom told her.

But she was stubborn and she ran to that booth. We all followed her immediately.

“Excuse me, can I join this charity?” Yoora pulled the hem of the girl’s guard shirt who seemed like the same age as me.

She looked down at my little sister. “I’m sorry, you can’t join. It’s only for over 18 years old people,” The booth guard smiled.

Yoora sighed sadly. She pouted.

“Yoora, it’s okay.” I said, kissing her cheek.

“Oh, wait! How about my eonni? She can join the charity, right?” She suddenly asked the guard.

The girl nodded, smiling at me.

“What? Yoora, I can give my money but... this charity is not a simple charity.” I told my sister, panic.

I saw many teenage girls and boys were queuing for their turn to kiss their partner.

“You don’t need to worry. It’s just a simple mission,” the girl told me.

I rolled my eyes. “Okay. This is for my little sister. But can I just give you my money and leave?”

“It’s not fun then. Your boyfriend can join the charity. If you’re lucky, you can kiss him.” The girl pointed at Jimin who’s holding my sister’s hand.

“Err... he is not my boyfriend. This... is my boyfriend,” I grabbed Taehyung’s wrist who was standing there, grinning so handsome looking at people in the kissing booth.

There was a curtain between the two cubicles. People didn’t know who would they kiss. The curtain would be opened later before they kiss. People queued randomly. If they’re lucky, they would just kiss their own partner, but if they got the bad luck, they would kiss someone else.
Since it’s charity, no one got mad at all.

“Oh, I’m sorry. But... he does look like your boyfriend...”

I believed Jimin was smiling behind my back.

“Yoora, I can’t do this. Let’s go.” I quickly cut the girl’s words off and grabbed my sister’s hand.
Yoora seemed disappointed. My mom suddenly asked Yoora to go with her to buy cotton candy and popcorn. Yoora’s mood changed immediately. She was happy again when my mom bought her cotton candy. I shook my head in disbelief. Jung Yoora was still a kid after all.

Suddenly we could hear the trot music festival started in the crowd of carnival fairs. They set the stage in the middle of village square. My mom grabbed Yoora to follow her. I was about to follow them when Taehyung grabbed my wrist.

“Let’s do charity,” he said.

“Hmm what?”

“Come on!” Taehyung pulled me to come back to kissing booth.

I knew it. Taehyung seemed interested in that kind of charity since the first.

“Jiminah! Hurry up!” Taehyung shouted, calling him to join with us.

Jimin stopped walking behind Yoora and he looked at me, and then Taehyung.

“Nah, man. I’m good. I’ll just accompany Yoora,”

“Come on! Where’s your kindness? It’s for charity,” Taehyung replied.

Jimin looked hesitate to move.

“Alright.” Jimin agreed to join the charity.

While Yoora and my mom was busy at the trot festival, me, Taehyung, and Jimin was queuing at the kissing booth. The girl guard looked at us again.

“Put your money in here and you’ll get the bracelet and number to see your turn.” She said, pointing at the money box in front of the booth.

We all put our money in it. And she gave us the bracelet and card number.

“Please join the charity. Show to the world that you care! Ask your boyfriend or girlfriend join the mission. If you get lucky, or you both are meant to be together, you will kiss your own date. If you are not destined to be together, unfortunately you will kiss someone else. Let’s try your faith in here!” One of the boy guards promoted the charity, shouting excitedly and he walked around to get people’s attention.

Why did I feel so nervous all of a sudden? I should have been just calm down. It was just a charity. Come on! It was their way to make people join in this event though. I didn't have to think about it. “Girls queue there. And boys in here.” The girl guard showed me where should I queue. I walked to the girls line. They all waited their turn.

JIMIN

I really didn’t want to join this kind of charity. I knew _______ didn’t want me in this kind of situation. I looked at Taehyung. He seemed excited.

“Man, do you think I’ll kiss _______?”

I shook my head. “Don’t know. If you’re meant to be together, you’ll get her.”

He nodded. “I wanna try my last luck. I really hope... I’ll get her,”

I wanted to kill myself, looking at how much Taehyung actually loved _______.

I messed up everything. I screamed to myself inside my head.

Die Jimin... just die!

“What number you got?” Taehyung asked me while we were waiting our turn.

“37. You?”

“40.” He answered me shortly.

I could hear many guys and girls sighing so disappointed because they didn’t get to kiss their own date. I saw a guy with purple hoodie was cursing loudly because he had to kiss someone else. But the opposite with him, a guy with white shirt just kissed another girl but she looked a lot prettier than his own girlfriend, so he seemed in joy.

“I can feel the hormone war right here,” Taehyung commented.

I only nodded my head. I put my hand against my heartbeats. They pumped faster. Why suddenly I got the feeling if I would kiss _______? Nah, it couldn’t be. It wouldn’t be happen. I took the risk and got out from the line secretly. Taehyung was still focused on people’s turn and he watched them kissing someone else not their partner, and disappointed after.

I tapped a guy who was promoting the charity loudly before.

“Excuse me. Is there a couple that finally kissed their own date?” I asked.

He shook his head. “No one so far. We’re still waiting who’s the lucky couple tonight.”

“Is this really real?”

“Oh, you mean, this mission will be real and proven that the couple is destined to be together if they kiss their own partner?”

I nodded.

“Actually, it’s annual event charity. Generation to generation. It happened since 10 years ago. A guy got lucky to kiss his own girlfriend. And they got married a few years later. And they’re still together ‘till now.” The guard told me.

I was speechless.

“Wow. Really?”

“Yeah. And fyi, only 2 couples got lucky to kiss their own partner since 10 years ago. And they
all got number 37.”

I got goosebumps and I looked at my card.

“Thanks.”

“You’re welcome.”

I left the guy guard and looked at the girls line. I saw _______ was waiting calmly. She didn’t seem nervous at all. I knew it. The 3rd lucky couple tonight, it would be Taehyung and her.

I looked at her bracelet. She got red color. And I looked at mine. It was also red.

“Excuse me, could you please help me?” I asked the girl guard.

“Yeah?”

“Do you know that girl’s number?” I pointed at Jung _______.

“Oh, she got a card number 37.”

SHIT!

“Are you sure?”

She nodded. “I gave her the card number. Duh!” She rolled her eyes.

“It means, number 37 will kiss number 37, right?” I made sure of it.

“Yes, of course. She will kiss the guy with number 37.”

I looked at my card again. I got number 37.

My hands were shaking hard. It meant, I’d kiss _______?!

I quickly ran back to my queue line. No, no! Not with Taehyung was still here, hoping he would kiss his girlfriend. No, it wouldn’t be happen!

“Taehyungah!” I tapped Taehyung’s back.

He turned around to see me.

“Where are you?”

“Hey, bruh. I think I got to go to toilet. Switch with me!” I took Taehyung’s number quickly.

“Yah!”

“Here! Take my bracelet!” I immediately took off my bracelet and wrapped it around his wrist.

“Seriously...” Taehyung sighed, looking at me taking off his green bracelet.

“Number 36 next!” They called out people one by one.

And then I left Taehyung. He kept calling me but I was pretending running to toilet. But in fact, I was just hiding a little bit far from the kissing booth. I watched them, leaning on the shady trees.
After 36, they called out number 37. Jung _______ was sitting there behind the curtain.
Taehyung also was there. They opened the curtain and I could hear _______ screaming happily, seeing who was in front of her. She hugged Taehyung immediately. And Taehyung was super duper surprised and without any doubt, he kissed _______’s lips passionately.

“Is he your own boyfriend?” The guy guard asked _______.

Jung _______ nodded her head, smiling.

“Wow! We got the 3rd lucky couple tonight! This is history! Give them applause!”

People seemed amazed with how lucky they were. They all gave them the loud applause and some of couples said they were envy of Taehyung and _______. I guessed, she didn’t need me now. She had Taehyung, and Taehyung himself really needed quality time with _______. He only had 4 days left before his arranged marriage announcement. It’s time to back to Seoul.

I looked at them. Taehyung hugged her tightly. They laughed happily. I smiled bitterly.

“Number 40!” Someone called out Taehyung’s number in my hand. I looked at my card. I chose not to show up. Because I really couldn’t kiss someone else, beside Jung _______.

Taehyung was looking around to find me. I waited for the next number. They skipped to number 41. And I came out from my hiding place.

“How was it?” I asked Taehyung.

“I kissed my own girlfriend!” Taehyung answered me, smiling so bright.

“It’s sooo cool, bruh!” I gave him a bro hug.

“You think it means we’re destined to be together?” He asked me.

I took a glance at _______. Her eyes seemed sad, looking at me.

“Hopefully.” I said. It did hurt.

“Anyway, they called your number. And then, they skipped it.” Taehyung told me.

“Nah, it’s okay. I gave them some money though for charity. Kissing isn’t my main point,”

Taehyung nodded. “Dude, you’ve changed!”

I smirked.

“What happened to you?” Taehyung asked me in disbelief.

“I think because I wanna be real,” I replied, looking at _______’s eyes.

I could she her rosy cheeks. She quickly looked away.

“What real? I thought you really liked this stuff.”

I just smiled at Taehyung’s words.

On our way back to _______’s house, I told Taehyung that I was going back to Seoul in the morning. Taehyung agreed and I relieved. He said he would contact me after he returned to
Seoul as soon as possible. “I’m going to call you, okay. Bring her somewhere. I don’t want her finding out about... this arranged marriage,” Taehyung whispered to me secretly when _______,
Yoora and her mom were walking in front of us.

“Man, seriously... I think I can’t do that,” I told him.

“Come on! You promised!” Taehyung sounded desperate.

Actually, I was so scared if I fell for his girlfriend too deep. I looked at _______’s back. She was beautiful under the moonlight. Her hair was so beautiful. Her hips. Her tight ass. Damn!

“But where can I bring her?” I asked Taehyung.

“Don’t worry. Her birthday is coming soon. It’s in Tuesday. We’ll bring her somewhere and give her birthday surprise. After that, it’s your job.”

“Her birthday is one day before your arranged marriage announcement?” I almost choked.

“Sshh... yeah, I want you to join me.”

I was confused. “What are you planning?”

Taehyung winked at me and whispered. “2 is better than one, right?”

“Do you mean...”

FUCK!
I cursed in my head. I looked at Taehyung in disbelief.

“Come on, Jimin. I know you will like it.”
