Catherine’s POV

DK never did reply me and I was truthfully devastated. Even if we had to break up, I thought he would be mature enough to at least ask me why I wanted to meet him. It was courtesy. I decided that I shouldn’t wait for him at all and promptly deleted all his past messages.

A lot of things had been going on since then.

After my first legendary interview, the magazine entrusted me with the reporting duty. I managed to get an interview with Lovelyz and they were so adorable that I couldn’t help but be their 언니 (eonni) for the day and they rejoiced on the idea as well. They invited me to visit them on Woolim Entertainment someday and I promised to bring them food when I had the time to go there.

Lady Luck had probably bestowed me with extra fortune after the whole incident with V. I was grateful that MODE trusted me on gaining partnerships and building rapport with these celebrities. They also had faith in my work so I was extremely thankful for that.

I ended up getting an offer to be a permanent intern at MODE. In a heartbeat, I accepted the offer. I was getting a step closer to my dream of being an editor. I was getting somewhere.

DK’s POV

I couldn’t sleep again tonight. The fact that I had to trade love for my dream was really traumatic. I regretted having to hurt Kitty’s heart in order for me to debut. We were together for as long as I could remember.

“석민아, 이리와봐.”
“SeokMin-a, come here.”

I rushed over to meet our leader, S.coups or as I prefer to call him 승철이 형 (SeungCheol-i Hyeong).

“Please explain to me what this is about.”

He showed me my phone, the KaTalk message that I just received to be exact.

석민아..제발 나 좀 만나줄래?
SeokMin-a, can you please meet me?

By reflex, my hand went to grab my phone but he deflected it.

“You know the rules,석민아 (SeokMin-a). I can’t allow you to go or even reply this.”

“형, 제발. 그냥 한번만 안돼? 그녀를 내가 필요하니까...”
“Hyeong, please. Can I just go this one time? Because she needs me...”

He glared at me and put my phone away in his pockets. Firmly rejecting my request, he went away to the practice room after warning me to never contact her again.

I knew that I should never jeopardize the group with my own personal problems but it was about her. I had to find out.

After practice ended, we were given a break so I decided to personally ask a favor from my manager. He knew about her and he was willing enough to find her for me but only this once. I was delighted to at least get to know how she was doing. My heart couldn’t take it otherwise. It wasn’t like her to suddenly ask me to meet up. She would stay away for good until I was the one who talked to her first so something horrible must had happened, I presumed.

My instinct was right. My manager caught this rumor flying around about how V 선배님 (seonbaenim) was attempting to sexually harass an intern at MODE. That intern happened to be her. My manager assured me that nothing happened and she was alright but still, I was pissed off. Who wouldn’t be?

I had to meet her.

승철이 형 (SeungCheol-i hyeong) was still holding on to my phone so there was no way that I could contact her.

Unless... I had to wait until promotions were over. When I finally got my free time, I had to meet her, even if it meant that I had to go over to MODE myself.

Notes

It broke my heart, having to write DK as the conflicted guy when he has always been the happy virus but it would be nice to see that despite his sun-like presence, he does have a serious perception about certain things. A little twist to his happy-go-lucky personality in real life.

I think DK's POV could have been better so I shall go and watch more of DK so that I could get a hold of his character more :)
