Catherine's POV

"So, you wanna break up with me?"

"It's not that simple." He let out a sigh.

"It is that simple. The moment you said that you had to leave me, that already meant that you had the intentions to break up with me." I burst out in tears.

"Please," he grabbed my shoulders, "don't be like this. You know I can't be with you because of the contract." he extended his arms to hug me but I refused.

"If you knew about the contract, all this time, I was nothing but a play toy to you, wasn't I? You were never serious about me." Tears started rolling down my cheeks. I couldn't help it. How could you just cooly accept that your boyfriend just abandoned you?

"No! I swear I love you, Kitty." He tried to soothe me by calling my pet name, "I just....can't be together with you now."

"And you didn't even hesitate or think of a way for us to still be together, huh?" Sorrow started to transform into rage as I knew he wouldn't lie but I didn't know he was this much of a coward.

"What do you mean?"

"Oh, I don't know. Just date behind their backs or even taking a break would be better than this." I pointed out, trying to remain level-headed about all of this.

He broke my eye contact and started pacing around, trying to let some of the steam out from inside of him.

"Look, I know you might think that way but we're talking about my dream. Please, try to understand me now. I'll come back to you, I promise."

"I do. I understand that all these years, you were training for your dream and I've been nothing but supportive all the time. But, don't you realise that this feels like you're abandoning me? Just because you're going to debut soon doesn't mean that you have to leave."

Licking his dry lips, he closed his eyes and put down his head. "I'm sorry.", he muttered.

"Okay, you know what. Just leave. Now."

"But..."

"Now!" I growled.

He hesitated for a while before he walked away.
I knew I was too harsh but I was speechless to be honest. I had to admit that DK was really sticking by the books with the whole contract thing and it wasn't his fault. His company made it clear that he had to refrain himself from getting involved in any romantic relationships. Hence, he requested the break up.

I didn't mean to be rude to him but I couldn't help it. He was my first. He was my first friend, my first boyfriend and also the person whom I lost my virginity to.It wasn't easy for me to just move on and let him go.

Notes

I'll be adding characters as the story goes since Catherine will definitely be dealing with the entertainment industry henceforth.

Guess who'll be featured in the next chapter?

Definitely not SEVENTEEN because Cathy definitely deserves a break from dealing with one of the members.
