Xiumin's POV

It was fair to say that I did not sleep a wink that night. Ling's words of uncertainty about Luhan was unsettling for me, so much so that I couldn't stop thinking about it.

But Ling, I was the one who stood by your side when you were hurt, so why is it always Luhan?
I flipped on the couch trying hard not to wake the other members. I looked longingly at Ling's door across the room.

I could be sleeping in there tonight if not for them.

I closed my eyes and calmed myself. It was nearly 4 AM and my body had started to feel exhausted.

"Xiumin,"

I groaned and turned to look at Sehun. "What,"

I could see his silhouette in the darkness. He sat up on the far side of the room not facing me. His light blond hair was sticking up at odd angles and his shoulders drooped with uncertainty.

"Are you and Ling really together?" His voice sounded disappointed and I couldn't help but smile smugly.

"Yes, why?"

He paused and I watched him play with his fingers. "I don't like it."

I didn't know how to respond so I just stared at him in the darkness.

"I'm Ling's bias you know?" He continued slowly. "The one that should be dating her is me."

I glared at him in frustration. Sehun was always the type to get jealous over little things whether it be the parts we have in our songs or even our hair styles. I sat up and looked over at him impatiently. "Well, I'm the one dating her."

I was about to go back to sleep when Sehun spoke again, this time, quieter. "Hyung, I can't forget the kiss I had with Ling."

I froze on the spot. I recalled the scene I had walked in on and I felt the anger engulf me. If it wasn't for Ling's tired eyes that day, I would've never forgiven him.

"Forget it," I said firmly between gritted teeth.

"That's what I just said," Sehun muttered quickly. "I can't forget it."

"Well, you better." I was getting annoyed. Why is it that where ever I go, I always had someone to compete with? I turned on the couch and closed my eyes.

"Sehun I'm going to say this one more time, Ling is dating me."

It felt good to state my case clearly for him but it didn't help that my heart was now racing from my boldness. Before knowing Ling, I would've never done something like that.

The sky quickly lightened outside, but I still did not manage to fall asleep.

Ling's POV

For some reason, I woke up in a bad mood. To make things worst, I had received a call from my parents saying that my cousin was in Korea to see me.

"Mom, I can't show them around-" I started to say but she cut me off.

"Ling-er, they came back from the states, I'm sure you can take some time off your busy schedule."

"Yeah but-"

"It's your younger cousin too, you know? The one that just started high school in the states?"

"Gabby?" I found myself frowning, recalling her face. Gabby was a very clingy girl who would do anything to get what she wants. "Did she ask me to show her around Korea?"

My mom was silent on the line and I frowned. Yes, Gabby has had a crush on EXO since they debuted when she was still in grade four and I had a feeling that she wanted me to show her around EXO rather than Korea.

"Ling-er, just this once," She begged on the other end of the line.

"Mom, I'm not in Korea anymore," I muttered quickly. "Luhan and I got separated."

"Just pay for the plane ticket, I'm sure your cousin will compensate you."

"Mom," I whined. I didn't want to go back to Korea at all, after all, all my worst memories were made there. My mind flashed to Borin and I shuddered.

"Enough, you go show them around and come back, it's not that hard."

She wouldn't hear anything else I had to say and hung up on me. I ruffled my hair angrily and made my way to the kitchen. The members were all asleep except for Xiumin who sat staring at the morning sky through the balcony window.

"You're up early," I said blushing slightly as the morning light gave him a heavenly back glow.

He looked at me when I walked over to him and gave me a small smile. He pulled me down to join him on his lap which I sat on shyly. He snuggled himself on my shoulder and closed his eyes.

"I haven't slept at all last night." He sighed as I ran my fingers through his hair.

"Minseok," I lowered my voice disapprovingly.

He nodded and snuggled deeper to the crest of my neck. With my arms around him, I stroked his hair until eventually, Xiumin fell asleep in my arms. With a small chuckle, I helped him to the couch and pulled over the blanket.

I kneeled in front of him and stroked back the strands of hair that were in his way. I giggled at his sleeping face, he was just too cute for me to handle. I leaned down and pecked him on the lips.

He is my boyfriend. I giggled again, still feeling kind of embarrassed to admit it.

"Minnie," I whispered so not to wake him. "I'm going to go back to Korea."

I left for work before any of the members woke up.

Xiumin's POV

When I opened my eyes at noon, I distinctively remembered the taste of Ling's lips against mine and-

She's going back to Korea.

My heart raced with excitement as I looked around the room. The other members were gone, probably to Lay's studio. I walked to the washroom and cleaned myself up. Staring at my massive smile in the mirror, I quickly dialed Ling to confirm her words. I couldn't wait to hear her voice.

The dial tone ended.

"Ling-"

"Minseok," She whispered urgently. "Why did you bring Luhan with you?"

I watched the smile disappear from my face through the mirror as the blood rushed from my face.
