Ling's POV

Besides meeting with Young Min about the EXO show, I met up with Nam Soon and Borin pretty often. The two of them were still attending school but it wasn't hard for me to just drop into their classes.

On Tuesday morning, the day before we were supposed to film Life With EXO I visited them in class. I sat between Borin and Nam Soon on the farthest row of their school's lecture hall.
Slowly, Borin drifted off and eventually fell asleep with her for head resting on her crossed arms. Nam Soon, being the good student he had always been, stayed attentive for the lecture. He snickered when she turned her head facing her puckered up face towards us. Eventually, Nam Soon decided that he had enough of the lecture and the two of us chatted quietly.

"Are you filming all day tomorrow?"

"Yeah, I have to follow them through their schedule."

Nam Soon pouted at me. "Wish we could come along, I want to meet EXO."

Feeling bad for him, I offered to get him an autograph from all of the members. He smiled excitedly and looked at Borin.

"Borin is going to be so jealous, look at her, she's completely knocked out." He snickered.

I looked at Borin remembering the photo again. Why had she lied about meeting Luhan, what was so important in their relationship that she couldn't tell me?

"Nam Soon, do you know if Borin has ever met up with Luhan?"

He looked at me funny. "Luhan from EXO? I don't think so."

I scowled and thought about the photo again. Was it possible that it was someone else?

I looked at the sleeping Borin again and shook my head. If there was something between them, I hope she will open up and tell me when she feels ready.

Xiumin's POV

The night before we film the first episode of Life with EXO, we decided to run over our schedule with Ling and Luhan. I sat in the living room with the other members waiting for the two of them to return.

"Where is Ling?" Sehun asked me as if I would know. I shrugged and looked at the other members who all shook their heads.

Luhan entered the house moments later hurriedly only to head out the door again after dropping off his bags.

"Luhan, where are you going this late?" I stood and joined him at the door.

"Ling said to go pick her up, she got lost coming back," He explained pushing me aside. In the living room, I hear the members laugh from this piece of information.

I followed him out and into his manager's car. He narrowed his eyes at me as I buckled my seat belt next to him. "We don't need two people to pick her up."

I smiled and tilted my head as if confused at his question. I'm not leaving her alone with you.

We found Ling at a small empty intersection and to my surprise, she wasn't alone. Ling was talking to a girl with long straight hair and a tall boy. We parked beside them and came out to greet them. The boy's eyes darted from me to Luhan then back again as the girl squealed in delight. Ling grabbed the two of us by the hand and introduced us to her friends, Lee Borin and Go Nam Soon. I greeted them happily eyes lingering on the boy who had the looks to be mistaken for an idol. Beside me, Luhan choked on his words.

"Hello, Borin."

Luhan's POV

I never thought that I would see her again after all these years. Borin was as stunning as ever with her long flowing hair and her petite figure. She smiled at me and tilted her head curiously as I examined her features. Beside me, Ling and Xiumin looked from me to Borin.

"Luhan, I'm a big fan!" Borin took my hand and bowed at me.

I bowed back awkwardly remembering the times I admired her from afar.

Ling looked at me with a confused expression on her face. "Have you two, met?"

We shook our head and Borin held onto Ling's arm. "Ling, can't I come to watch you film tomorrow?"

She looked at me expecting me to agree. I opened my mouth but Ling cut me off. "No, that's
unprofessional, I'll have to ask the director."

With a sigh, Borin and Nam Soon left and let us return back to our dorm. For the duration of the car ride back, Ling did not make eye contact with me, nor did she talk to me. Feeling stuffy and somehow guilty, I stopped her when we got to the entrance of the dorm after Xiumin walked in.

"Ling, what's wrong?" I asked looking her in the eye.

"Nothing," She averted my eyes again, turned towards the pulling her arm out of my grip.

She reached for the handle of the door and I grabbed her hand again. "Ling!"

She turned and hesitated.

"What's your relationship with Borin?"

Ling's POV

I stared at him as his face turned red from my question. He let go of my wrist and crossed his arms and avoided my eyes. "We've never met, that was my first time seeing her."

Lies, lies, lies.

I narrowed my eyes at him. His ears were now glowing red with embarrassment and I was certain that he was hiding something from me. As we stood in silence, I felt him drifting further and further away from me. The wall that was broken down was slowly starting to rebuild itself. I rushed forward and tapped him on the hand with my hand. "Why are you so serious, look your face is turning red!"

I forced a smile at him and walked into the dorm leaving Luhan outside. I'm sure he will tell me when he feels like it.

"Ling," Xiumin was waiting for me at the dining table. He stopped me and peered at me from
beneath my bangs.

I looked away from him and he cupped my face in his hands. "Oh? Ling, what's wrong?"

I looked at his big brown eyes and I suddenly found myself fighting back tears. Why? Why does
Luhan shut me out like that?

Sehun stepped in just as the first tear fell from my eyes. "Hyung, give her some space."

He stood between us with his hand on Xiumin's chest pushing him back. I covered my eyes and let the uncontrollable tears fall. Without a word, I rushed to my room and closed the door behind me. Leaning on the wall, I found my heart shatter as I thought about Luhan and the sudden realization hit me. Even more so now than before, he was out of my reach.

Ling's hurt by the secrets that Borin and Luhan are hiding. Getting close to Luhan seems almost hopeless to Ling now.
