Secrets

My grip on the flashlight tighten. It was completely dark- and not to mention, cold. I should of worn a jacket before leaving the campsite. I let out a sigh as I walk deeper into the woods. I've been walking for about ten minutes and I could barely find any wood. Where did Megan's dad even find them?
I stop dead in my tracks when the flashlight suddenly flickered. It kept flickering until it went off. "W-What? Are you serious?" I whispered to myself as I hit the flashlight against my hand. I quickly look around and to my disappointment- I had no idea where I was.
Although, it was chilly out tonight, I could feel sweat coming down the side of my face. Maybe from nerves. I slowly started walking, not knowing which direction I was going. Why did I even offer to go get wood for the fire?
I felt my heart was about to pop out of my chest when I heard something snap. I quickly look around, still seeing darkness. It was quiet for a moment. "H-hello?" I stuttered out and silently praying that it was just the wind but, sadly it wasn't.
I saw something move at the side of my right eye. I turn toward it in fear. I was hoping that whoever it was, it was friendly. I was shock when all I saw was two gold orbs staring at me. I never met anyone with gold eyes before! It started walking toward me.
I couldn't move, however, I could fall on my ass because that's exactly what I did. The gold-orb-thing was still slowly coming towards me. I felt my hand shake in fear. Suddenly, there were other rustling noises. Four other pairs of orbs appeared. They were all staring at me, not making any noise.
"Uh, hello?" I nervously said again.
They all started walking toward me again. The closer they got, the more I could see their faces. "Please, stop." I quickly said in fear and confusion. They were at least two yards away from me.
They didn't listen and just kept walking toward me so, I quickly grabbed a stick the was near my feet and pointed at the five gold-eyed males that were standing in front of me. They were strange. I glanced at all of their outlined faces and then glanced around us.
I had to get out of here and away from them somehow. I heard a noise and look to where the person who made it. He was slowly walking toward me. I could feel myself starting to panic."Get away from me!" I pointed the stick toward him- which I didn't know how it could help me.
I mean, he's two times bigger than me. Although, I could completely see his face, I could tell that he had an amused expression. "Calm down.." It's the first thing that any of them said- and it only made me more scared.
Before I could say anything, I could feel someone behind me. I quickly turn around to see another guy behind me- which scared me and it made me fall back on on my ass again. I look up at him in shock. They come out of nowhere, don't they?
"It's okay," He says in a voice that made my heart flutter. "We won't hurt you." I didn't know if I should believe him or not. I mean, wouldn't you have trouble too if you were in my position? "Are you lost?" One of them asks. "Y-yes." I made myself say.
The guy in front of me lifted his arm and scratched his neck. "Where is V when you need him?" He murmured. "Did you come from the roads or the campgrounds?" He ask in a gentle voice. "T-the c-campgrounds." He look behind me at one of the other males. "Jin, mindlink V. Tell him we will be a little longer than usual." "Alright."
The guy in front of me put out his hand. "Come on. We'll show you the way back." I was hesitant to take his hand.
I followed them through the forest. I wasn't a long way from the campgrounds. Infact, I was only a couple of yards away from it. I was shock but, also embarrassed
"Try not get lost." One of them says.
I turn around to thank them, they were already gone.
