Secrets

I knew this day was going to be bad when it started raining and I slid down my steps this morning. I was even more sure today was going to be bad when I saw V hanging around a girl at lunch.

I didn't know what her name was but, i did know that she was on the cheerleading squad; because I seen her at practice when I always waited around for Megan.She had dark hair and it went to her lower back. She had pale skin and brown eyes. I guess she was pretty- well, okay, she was beautiful.

Pissed was too light of a word when I saw her whispering in his ear. I caught myself gripping the lunch table while I watched them. I didn't like the way she was moving her right hand up and down his left arm. I also didn't like the way her lips were a little to close to his.

I always felt jealousy when it came to girls and V but, it was never this bad.

Suddenly, something slipped out of my mouth that shock me. It was a...growl. I quickly shot out of my seat and look around to see that nobody heard me. I quickly grabbed my bag and left for the girl's bathroom but, not without glancing back to see seven pairs of eyes looking at me.

When i got to the bathroom, I made sure that nobody was in the bathroom before looking t myself in the mirror.

"Did I...really growl?" I murmured staring at myself.

I acted like a possessive...wolf.

I shook my head to get rid of the thoughts. That kind of freak me out. I let out a sigh when the bell rung.


***** ***** ***** ***** *****

I shivered as I walk out of my school. I also nearly jump when I caught sight of Megan sitting on the school steps. "M-megan!" I yelled out running to her. She turn around and sent me a small smile.

"W-why are you avoiding me? I've been trying to look for you forever." I said, breathlessly. "I'm sorry, Christian. The other day- I snapped at you for no reason. I felt so guilty and I-" I cut her off by hugging her.

"Stupid!" I cried out. "I missed you." I murmured before pulling away and smiling up at her. She was about three or four inches taller than me. "I want to say sorry too. I shouldn't of pry like that. Megan, you're my best friend and I worry about you." Megan smiled at me and let out a laugh.

"Anyways, I have to go, Christ. I promise to meet up with some...friends. I'll text you later." I nodded my head and watch her get in a unfamiliar car that was park in front of the steps. I glanced at the car, trying to see who was inside it but, I couldn't. I tilted my head in confusion.

"Christian?" I quickly turned around, completely forgetting about the car Megan was getting in to. "Oh, uh, hi V." I said, not looking at him. "I want to apologise to you. I was going to go to your house but, I'm glad I caught you before you left." I glanced up at him.

"Apologise for what? Making me wait here for almost five hours?" He flinched at my harsh tone. "F-Five hours?" I look away from him, blinking back the tears.

"You know, if you had something much more important to do, then you should of just let me know. I mean, I know I'm not really important to you but, you could at least be decent enough to let me know you wean't showing up."

It was quiet after my sudden outburst. The only thing that could be heard was birds chirping and our breathing. I glanced at some kids that were still leaving the school.

"You..don't think you're important to me?" I shifted my eyes to the boy that I liked for so long.

"Christian, you...are so damn important to me. I know we don't talk a lot or even hang out at all but, I was so happy that you ask to hang out with me."

I could feel my nerves going through the roof. I didn't know how to react. If I look at him, I feel like I could faint but, if I don't- I feel a urge to look at him.

"Anyways, I'm sorry, Christian. I should've called you or at least tell you I wouldn't make it. Actually, I was on my way to meet you but, a family thing happen."

I knew that he could of given me any excuse in the world- he could of told me he was busy traveling up the mountains with a snow bear, and I would've accepted it. I glanced at him and then let out a sigh. I look at him and smiled.

"Fine, I forgive you."
