[Third Person P.O.V]

The only thing that could be heard from across the forest was howling and the sound of the leaves breaking as Megan stepped on them.

It was nearly midnight and most teenagers would be asleep but, Megan wasn't like most teenagers. Megan felt her phone buzz and she look at the caller I.D.

"Christian is calling..."
She gripped the phone and ignored the call. She didn't have the energy nor the will to talk to the human.

"So, your name is Megan now?" Megan stop walking and felt her heart race at the sound of the familiar voice. The scent that she smelt was intoxicating and addictive.

She would go to the person who smelt this amazing and nuzzle her head in his chest but, she knew she would just be rejected. She slowly turn around and came face to face with the man she called "Mate".

"J-hope." She said, trying hide the pain. "What do you want?"

J-hope was still wearing his school uniform but, he still was handsome- at least, to her he was. "Why are you hanging around Christian?" J-hope asked, straight to the point.

"W-what do you mean?" Megan asked, confused.

J-hope scoff in disbelief. "Don't be act Stupid. We both know what kind of person you are." Megan narrowed her eyes him.

"And, what kind of person am I?" J-hope stared back at her, challenging her.

"A conniving Bitch who uses people as she pleases." Megan look away from him, biting her lip. She was trying to hold back the tears.

"Now, back to why I came to talk you; why are you hanging around Christian?"

"Because, we're friends." Megan answered, glaring at him.

J-hope let out a humorless laugh and look at her. "Friends? Whatever."

Megan turn around and started walking. "Believe what you want to. It's the truth."

She suddenly felt someone pull her and push her in to a nearby tree. Megan held in a moan as she made contact with the tree. J-hope was a a inch or two away from her face. His eyes were gold now, instead of his natural brown.

"Listen Megan, or should I say Violet," She flinched at the name, making J-hope smirk.

"I don't care if you are my mate, if you harm Christian in anyway, I will personally punish you." J-hope let her go and step back.

"Stay away from her." He said.

"Why? Because she's Kim Taehyung's mate?" Megan ask, her voice shaky and unstable.

He look at her in shock. "how did you know?"

Megan didn't look at him. She suddenly found the leaves ont he ground more interesting than his face. "It's obvious. The way he looked at her- is the way you use to look at me." Her voice was soft and sad- like a sad break-up song.

J-hope didn't know how to react. He also felt the need to pull her in to his arms and nuzzle his head in to her hair but, that wouldn't be right.

Not after what she did.

Instead of saying anything, he ran and turn in his light brown wolf.

He gave her another glance before running and disappearing into the woods.

Megan slid down the tree and felt tears well up in her eyes. She felt the pain in her chest become stronger.
Soo, her wolf won't be able to take this.

Soon, her wolf will die.

Soon, so will she.

That's what happens to the mate who gets rejected.

Megan look up at the moon. The clouds were floating over it, making it a bit darker. She didn't wipe the tears as they kept falling.
