Being Neighborly
Ice Skating.
By [6PM] Dani left the room with her things and took the elevator downstairs to leave. As she was walking out of the building, she ran into Max.
Max : Hey.
Dani : hey Max.
Max (*asks) : you're barely going home now ?
Dani : yeah. I wanted to finish the outfit before leaving.
Max (*asks) : how far are you ?
Dani : the third outfit out of 24. I think its progress.
Max : wow.
Dani (*asks) : is it okay if i walk home with you ?
Max : sure.
While walking together at night in the city home to the apartment, it was silence but Max said....
Max : i appreciate you doing this for us.
Dani (*asks) : you're talking about the designs for the music video ?
Max : yeah.
Dani : you're welcome. I'm really happy that i get to do this for your company.
Dani : it's something i've been waiting to do in a really long time. So thank you Max.
Max : you're welcome.
Dani (*asks randomly) : have you ever been skating Max ?
Max : i haven't. (*asks) why ?
Dani (*asks) : would you like to go right now ?
Max (*asks) : right now ? don't you have to get home, eat dinner, and babysit Lia ?
Dani : i do but not for another hour.
Dani : please Max, skate with me.
Max : quickly.
Dani pulled Max to the skating rink. They put on their skates and skated 3 times around the rink and went on home. Dani really got the stressed out of herself from working. Max was relieved it was over by the time he knew it. Needless to say, he had a great time with her. The first time in forever that he had fun with someone.
When they got to the apartment building, they got their mail before heading upstairs to their apartment. Max and Dani walked out of the elevator to their floor. The both of them stopped and Dani said....
Dani : thank you for letting me walk with you home.
Dani : i really needed the company since it was a stressful day.
Max : i had fun at the skating rink.
Max : It's the first time in forever that i had that much fun skating.
Dani (*smiles & says) : i'm glad you had fun. I did too.
Max : yeah, well.
Dani : Max.
Max (*hums) : hmm??
Dani : i'm always here if you need to talk to anyone.
Dani : I’ll be there for you just like you were there for me today.
Max (*nods his head & says) : i will, thanks.
Dani (*smiles & says) : good night.
Dani opened her apartment door with her key and went inside. Max stood there to think about what dani said and wondered why she is starting to be so important to him now.
