My Designs.
The next morning came. [8:00AM] Dani was still sleeping in her room. Dyanna and Lia woke up to get ready for breakfast. While Dyanna was dressing Lia, Lia said something to her mom about Max.
Lia : that man last night was really friendly mama.
Dyanna (*asks as putting on Lia’s shirt) : what man ?
Lia : the man Aunt Dani let in last night. He gave us cake. It was delicious.
Dyanna (*says as putting on Lia’s pants) : i wonder who it could be.
Lia : he introduce himself as Max. he was cool looking.
Dyanna : oh. He’s our next door neighbor.
Lia : i like him a lot. He’s friendly when he has cake.
Dyanna (*smiles & says) : i think so too.
Dyanna : go wake up your Auntie Dani. i'm going to make breakfast.
Lia ran to Dani’s room to wake up her by jumping on her bed making her wake up fully. Dani was up and went to get ready for work. Dani wore a loose white t-shirt, beige blazer, black capris pants, tan flats, her black work bag with files and notebooks in it, hair curled down prettily. After getting dressed, she walked out of the kitchen to see Dyanna cooking breakfast for Lia and her. Dyanna was dressed in a white and grey stripe t-shirt, light tan cardigan, blue skinny capris jeans, tan ankle boots, hair curled down shortly. Once Dyanna was done with breakfast, they ate together. Lia was already finished within 10 minutes and went to get her backpack in the room. Dani and Dyanna were sitting there talking and eating before heading to work.
Dyanna : Lia told me something interesting about last night.
Dani (*suspects & asks) : what did she tell you ?
Dyanna : that Max came over last night with cake.
Dani : we had a business dinner together. We talked about the projects, that's all.
Dani : we rushed home so you could go to work.
Dani : I left the cake with him so he came over to give it to me.
Dani : i invited him and we ate together with Lia on the couch.
Dyanna : Okay.
Dani (*asks as looking at Dyanna) : your not mad ?
Dyanna : no.
Dani : i'm going to work. I don't want to be late.
Dyanna : okay.
Dani : tell Lia that i left to work and i’ll see her later.
Dyanna (*jokes around & asks) : will Lia see Uncle Max later ?
Dani : Max isn’t Lia’s Uncle, Dyanna.
Dyanna : i’m kidding.
Dani : bye now.
Dani walked out of the apartment with her things. She took the elevator downstairs and walked to the coffee shop. She went inside to buy a cup of coffee quickly and then to work at the fashion company. Dani walked to her desk and began to work on entering the designs into her computer. As she was working, Hannah called her into her office to talk about something. Dani went to Hannah’s office to see June standing in front of Hannah. Dani walked into the room not expecting anything from Hannah nor June.
Dani (*asks Hannah) : you wanted to see me ?
Hannah : yes, the both of you.
June (*asks Hannah) : what is this about Hannah ?
Hannah : June had already done half of the sketches for the music video shot
Hannah : that Dani is working on.
Hannah : so the both of you have to look it over together and see the improvements.
Dani (*asks) : why don’t we look at it once it’s completely done ?
Hannah : we need to see what we have so far so that we could make the improvements.
Dani (*asks) : but isnt this based on what the artists want to dress up as for the music video ?
Dani : it’s what they want.
Hannah : it is but we have the ideas to give.
Hannah : so you both look it over and
Hannah : Dani will bring it to the artists to see if they like it or not.
Hannah (*says to Dani) : and you are to report back to us to see what we need to do.
Dani : yes ma’am.
Hannah : now, go back to work.
June : yes ma’am.
Dani and June walked out of the office back to their desk area. June asks Dani…
June (*asks) : when are you free to look over the sketches ?
Dani : right now June.
June : alright.
June and Dani came together in one of the meeting rooms to take a look at the designs together. June explained each and every single one of the sketches to Dani so she would have a good picture of it. After looking over the sketches together, Dani went to see Max regarding the designs she has so far. She went to see him in his office after getting an approval from Naomi, the front desk person.
Max (*asks as he sees Dani step into his office) : what's up ?
Dani : i have half of the sketches for your artists. Its for the music video.
Max (*asks) : already ?
Dani : yes.
Max : let me see them.
Dani handed Max the sketch book and he took a look at it. Max gave it back to Dani quietly leaving her speechless. She questions him...
Dani (*asks) : is there something wrong with the sketches ?
Max : i think they're great but the company could have done better.
Dani (*asks) : what do you mean ? you don't like them ?
Max : i do like them but it's not technically what i'm looking for.
Dani (*asks) : and what are you looking for ?
Max : we’re a pop and hip-hop kind of music company. We want that look for our music video.
Dani (*asks) : then what do you suggest we do ? change the entire sketch idea ?
Max : no. i want you to use your design sketches for this project.
Dani : we can’t use them.
Max (*asks) : and why not ?
Dani : i'm not allowed. It's not my position to do so. I'm an assistant for the company, that's it.
Max : i'm going to have a talk with Hannah and we are going to use your designs.
Dani (*asks) : and how do you know she will agree with you ?
Max : i'm going to try.
Dani : okay.
Max : fix the sketches to my liking in the meantime and i will talk to Hannah about this matter.
Dani (*asks) : can’t i watch your artists and talk to them to see what their styles are ?
Max : sure. Let me get the list of artist you want to see for the music video.
Dani : thank you Max.
Max printed out the list on his computer out for Dani and gave it to her right away. Dani then walked around from top to the bottom of the company floors looking for all of the artists on her list. By the end of the afternoon, she got a glimpse of what the designs should look like for each other her artists. While taking a taxi back to the fashion company, she fixed the sketches from June on the back page of the book. She was happy that she finished right in time when she back to the fashion company.
