~Chapter one~

• "Nabi! SoonHee! Breakfast is on the table!" Their mother's voice echoed up the staircase as SoonHee struggled to get her little sister out of bed. "We're coming!" She called back pulling on her sister's leg with a grunt "Come on Nabi! Just...get...out...of...bed!!!" She tugged in between her words, able to get her halfway off the bed. "Five more minutes!" Nabi begged as clenched the sheets trying to pulled herself back into bed. "I gave you five minutes an hour ago! If your fault for staying up so late drawing!" She protested. Nabi was an artist, and a talented one at that. She could draw in all forms, from a simple stick-figure to a whole landscape or portrait that looked so real you'd think it was a photo instead of a drawing. She was also always practicing of her talents in any spare time she had, which wasn't much. And in most cases, like this one, it left her extremely exhausted and extremely difficult in the morning. "But I had too! The image of that couple I saw yesterday in the park was stuck to my eyelids! I had to draw them! They were adorable!" SoonHee let go of her legs and put her hands on her hip as she tried to catch her breath "Well, maybe next time you could take a break and leave some images and ideas to be drawn tomorrow?" Nabi sat up and gave the older a funny look "Says the person who's alway up til 3 in the morning writing music??" SoonHee couldn't argue with that, when she had an idea for a song she had to take the time and right it down. That's how her brain functioned. "But I still got up didn't I? Now come on." She slapped Nabi's butt before walking toward the hall "Mom made chocolate chip pancakes" she said turning the corner with a grin. Nabi sprung out off bed and hurried to the bathroom as SoonHee chuckled down the stairs.


• "Ohayo!" Nabi sung as she finally made it own the stairs to the table where SoonHee was enjoying her Cinnamon Rolls. "Ohayogozaimas!" Their Mother answered as she set the plates on the table. "Yay! Pancakes! Arigatou Mama!" Nabi squealed before stuffing her face. "Your welcome!" She smiled "Today's a big day, so I made you both your favorites." Today was a big day, there were only three groups left in SM Entertainment's latest, and highly controversial, competition and one of them had already landed one of the two final spots. This was their groups last chance to make it to the finals. "You don't have anything to worry about, you'll make it, I'll vote a thousand times if I have to!" She said with a laugh as she sat in her nearby chair. "Thanks mom but I think you can only vote once" said Nabi in between bites. "I'm still gonna try" she laughed. Soonhee drunk her orange juice then glanced at the clock and jumped "Oh! We gotta go! Come on Nabi!" She finished off her cinnamon rolls then quickly disposed of her plate. "But I'm not finish yet" Nabi said with her mouth full. "You should've gotten up on time then, just take it with you" she said grabbing her keys. Nabi gathered her things and followed her out the door giving her mother a quick goodbye kiss. Soonhee hopped in their drivers seat and started the engine. As she drove out of the parking lot her phone ran next to her "That isn't who I think it is, is it??" She asked nervously. Nabi glanced at it "Its Gina" Soonhee scoffed "That's even worse" Nabi laughed and answered it on speaker phone "Ellooo?" "You two are gonna be late" said Gina on the other end of the phone. Gina was the second youngest of the group and always acted like a princess who was annoyed by others. But everyone knew she had a bug heart and a soft spot for her fellow members. She's very confident in herself and is always honest with the other no matter what. "No we won't, we're never late" said Soonhee. "Then you're gonna be late for this one, everyone's already there." Nabi raised a brow "Wait. Where are you??" There was a long pause and Soonhee laugh "You're not even there yet, are you?!" "I'm closer than you two are!" She chuckled. "Yeah, we'll see." Gina laughed through the phone "Is Masuri there already?" Asked Nabi. "Not sure, but if Manni hasn't called yet she must not be". "Then you better hurry up, cuz were half way there" Soonhee teased. "I'll get there on time, see you later" she sung as she hung up.


• A few minutes later they arrived at their dance studio to fans crowding the front of the parking lot. "What's this?" Asked Nabi poking out the window. Soonhee read some of the signs they held up screaming. "They're wishing us luck on making the finals!" She smiled. "Konichiwaaaaa!!!" Nabi waved and jumped around causing the girls to squeal and the guys to jump around. Soonhee waved too as she walked inside "Arigatou!!!" They waved back as they shouted encouraging words. Once inside they saw the other members "Took you long enough" Gina smirked as they walked in. "But you just got here literally a second ago" said Sori with a grin. Sori was the oldest and of course the leader. But I wasn't just because she was the oldest, she was the one who made sure everyone was in good spirits. Even if one of the girls were upset, having a bad day, or didn't want to be bothered, she'd bother them anyway. She was clumsy at times and a bit of a dorky but they loved her like family. Even if she had to make a cheesy joke, she made sure to make them laugh. The members where able to come to her for anything and that's what made her such a great leader. "I still got in before you two." She huffed playfully as she walked off. The others laughed as Minseo walked over with a cup of oatmeal in her hands. "Masuri is running a little late today" she said swallowing the small spoon full she was munching on. Minseo was the middle child of the group, and also the tallest even though it wasn't by much. She always made SoonHee look like the squirt she really was. But being a sports girl I guess she had to be tall. Minseo enjoyed playing sports since she was a kid, her favorite was always volleyball because she was always able to spike the ball perfectly. But beside her rough sportsmanship, she's very kind and considerate to others, helping them anyway she can. She also had to be the protecter when Nabi played one to many pranks on Gina. "Manni isn't here either?" Asked Nabi. "Nope, for once their the ones who's late" Sori laughed. "We're here! We're here! Sorry for being late!" Masuri rushed in with Manni behind her. "Ohayo!" The girls sung as they set their things down. "Congrats on making it to the top three!" Said Manni and they gave themselves a round of applause. "Now you have a chance to make it to the top two". "Who got the first spot again?" Asked Sori. "RoyalPink..." Said Gina with a disgusted tone. RoyalPink was a popular seven-membered girl group in Japan. They were older, snobbish , more popular and extremely intimidating. Not only that but their companies were long-term rivals. Which means winning this competition meant more than just earning a title. The Ceo's have been like this for years. Always competing in the simplest of things, from show appearances to having concerts on the same day in the same area. "This is really annoying!" Exclaimed Gina, expressing the long going frustration that her other members were feeling. "Every time a group from our company does something they do the same thing. The same ideas, same theme, it's like we're competing just to be seen!" "I know it's frustrating, for all of you" said Manni "But there's nothing you can do about it, it's between the CEOs" "I don't know, we can always blow their place up" said Nabi with a goofy devilish grin and the others cracked a laugh "I for vote that!" Said Sori with a chuckle. "We're not blowing the place up." Said Manni. "Worth a shot though right?" She shrugged.


• "Ok! Since this your last chance to make it to Korea. And that the group will probably do one of SHINee's more powerful songs. I've chosen the song A-yo". The girls looked at her with surprised faces then looked at each other "A-yo??" Nabi repeated. "Yup!" Masuri had a big grin on her face which meant she was super excited, also that the girls would probably be practicing to the point of exhaustion. "I thought since we were basically going into battle we'd to Lucifer or Sherlock" said Soonhee. "Exactly, that's what people expect right? So were going in the opposite of that, you all know I do things backwards, you should be use to that." She said obviously. The girls couldn't argue with that, plus A-yo was one of their favorite songs so they weren't complaining. The girls gathered in a circle as Masuri prepared the music. "Ok, I know we're all tired, stressed and frustrated..." Said Sori "But no matter what happens lets do our best and remember to have fun, ok?" The others nodded and joined their firsts in the middle. They raised their fists up then brought them back down with a loud and powerful "ELECTRO!!"
