Half-siblings

Kangin's mom smiled a little bit. Just then, a doctor came out. "Who is the family for Vanessa?"

Kangin continued to stay seated. His mom sighed. "I am. How is she, doctor?"

The doctor sighed. "She will recover, but I'm worried about her mental health."

That got Kangin's attention. His mom asked, "What do you mean?"

"It looks like she was hit in the front. Like she...."

"...just stood there waiting for the car to hit her," finished Kangin's mom.

The doctor nodded. "She also was talking in her sleep. She keeps asking her brother to forgive her."

All the other members of Super Junior turned towards Kangin. He looked at the floor in shame. His mom asked, "Can we go see her?"

The doctor shook his head. "Only family."

Heechul deflated and was sad. Kangin's mom noticed this and asked, "What about fiancees?"

The doctor nodded. "That's fine."

Heechul looked at Kangin's mom and smiled. Kangin, his mom and Heechul followed the doctor to Vanessa's room. When they went in, they could see all the cuts and bruises on her body. Heechul sat on one side of the bed, and Kangin's mom sat on the other. Kangin took the chair that was in the room.

When he saw his mom grab Vanessa's hand, he asked, "How can you accept her so easily, mom?"

His mom looked at him and said, "It was not her fault. It would not be fair for me to hate her. She is my daughter, after all."

Heechul just stayed silent and starred at Vanessa. Slowly, her eyes started to flutter open.
