Half-siblings

Everyday was like that for the last three weeks. It was getting harder for Vanessa to smile. Heechul had a hard time keeping his temper in check. Everyday Kangin said bad things about Vanessa even though he didn’t know it was her. Today Kangin was saying bad stuff again.

“I wish I could tell her what I think of her. She’s probably a whore. She disgusts me.”

Vanessa got up and left the room. Heechul could tell she was going to cry. He growled low in his throat. Kangin didn’t notice this and continued to say, “She probably wants to get close to me, so she can ruin my family like her father did. I wouldn’t be surprised if she and her father planned this toge…”

“SHUT UP,” yelled Heechul. “You know nothing about your half-sister. She only wants you to be happy. She would never plan anything against you and your family.”

Kangin blinkef in surprise at Heechul’s outbuirst. “Why are you defending her, Heechul?”

Heechul got angry at Kangin’s question. “I have watched for three weeks as you’ve verbally abused her.”

“She isn’t even here to hear me!”

“You’re an idiot! Vanessa is your half-sister!”

Kangin starred in shock. “That’s impossible. She would have told me!”

Heechul growled. “No, she wouldn’t have. Not after what you said about her.”

Heechul left the room. Everyone was in shock. Kangin thought about what Heechul said. Suddenly a man came into the room, “Guys, Mr. Park wants to see everyone in the meeting room. I already told Heechul, and he is on his way there right now.”

Leeteuk nodded. They all went to the meeting room. Kangin was surprised to find his mother was there. “Mom, what are you here for?”

Kangin’s mom smiled and said, “Mr. Park called me. He said he had to show me something from your half-sister.”

Mr. Park said, “Please sit down, everyone.”

Everyone sat down, and Mr. Park put a tape into a VCR machine. A big screen came out of the wall. Suddenly Vanessa appeared on the screen. “Hello, everyone. If you are watching this, that means that you have found out who I really am. Kangin, I’m sorry. I guess in some way I deserve your hatred. Heechul, I’m sorry I couldn’t keep my promise to you. M-mo-mom! No, I shouldn’t call you that. Kangin’s mom, thank you for giving birth to me. I was happy to see big brother for the little time I had with him. He really treated me like I was really his sister even though he didn’t know who I really was. I lo-love you and him very much!”

The door banged open, and a man ran in. “Mr. Park, the hospital called. Vanessa was hit by a car and is in critical condition.”

Everyone gasped. Heechul ran out of the room and out of the building. He was very worried about Vanessa. Kangin and his mom were shocked. Mr. Park said, “I think we should all go to the hospital.”

Everyone left the building and went to the hospital to check on Vanessa. They saw Heechul sitting in the waiting room. Mr. Park asked, “Did you find anything out, Heechul?”

Heechul shook his head. “They won’t tell me anything. They said they could only talk to her family. Apparently, she has Kangin and his mom as her family.”
