Half-siblings

Vanessa just arrived at Seoul International Airport. She was so happy because she got a job at S.M.Entertainment. She had recently found out she had a half-brother. She hadn’t tried to contact her brother yet. He was one of the artists at S.M.Entertainment.

They had the same mother. Her mother knew she was coming to South Korea. Vanessa got into a taxi and went to S.M.Entertainment. She went into the building and went to the top floor. There was a secretary sitting at a desk.

Vanessa said, “Mr. Park wanted to see me as soon as I got here.”

The secretary smiled and said, “Go in. He is expecting you.”

Vanessa smiled and went into the office. “Hello, Mr. Park. I got here as soon as I could.”

Mr. Park smiled and said, “Sit down, Vanessa. I need to go over some things with you.”

Vanessa sat down. Mr. Park said, “I’ve put you in charge of Super Junior. Your brother Kangin is in that group. Here is the schedule book and a company cell phone. Oh! I almost forgot the keys to your apartment.”

He passed them across the desk. Vanessa smiled happily. Mr. Park said, “You can go see your brother now.”

Vanessa got up and walked out of the office. She took the elevator down to the second floor. She walked toward the practice room. As she neared the door, she heard people talking. A voice asked, “Kangin, what are you going to do if the new manager claims to be your half-sister?”

Kangin laughed. “Tell her that I have no half-sister. As far as I’m concerned, my half-sister is dead.”

Vanessa was shocked. She took a deep breath and smiled. She knocked on the door. A voice said, “Come in.”

Vanessa went in and bowed. “Hello, my name is Vanessa. I will be your new manager.”

Vanessa looked around and was sad when she didn’t see Heechul. Heechul and she have been dating for four years. He was the only one beside Mr. Park and her mom who knew who she really was. “I will tell you something about me. I am an only child. I don’t care if you are popular, you will work hard.”

Leeteuk asked, “Have we seen you before?”

Vanessa smirked. “Of course, Leeteuk. I was the dancer who helped Ryeowook in Super Show 2. I also managed many artists in the US.”

Everyone gasped in surprise. Kangin asked, “If you were so successful in the states, why did you move to South Korea?”

Vanessa sighed. “I moved to South Korea to be close to my boyfriend.”

Before anyone could ask her anymore questions, the door opened and Heechul walked in. Heechul said, “Hey, guys. I’m done with the army.”

The guys surrounded Heechul, so he hadn’t seen Vanessa yet. Vanessa smirked and waited. When the guys backed off a little, Vanessa went up to Heechul and hugged him. “Hey, love. Are you surprised to see me?”

Heechul was shocked. When his shock wore off, Heechul hugged Vanessa and twirled her around. “What are you doing here, love? I thought I wouldn’t be able to see you until the Super Show next year.”

Heechul kissed Vanessa. Leeteuk cleared his throat. Heechul and Vanessa looked at the guys. Kangin asked, “Would you care to explain?”

Everyone sat down. Heechul smirked. “Vanessa and I have been dating since the second Super Show. We were only able to see each other when I was in the states. I’ve missed her since I joined the army.”

Vanessa smiled happily. “I hope you don’t mind, but Mr. Park gave me the keys to our apartment.”

“Why would I mind? The apartment belongs to both of us.”

Vanessa hugged Heechul tightly. Just then a knock came from the door. Leeteuk said, “Come in.”

The door opened, and a man came in. He said, “Kangin, there is a letter for you in my hand.”

Kangin got up and grabbed the letter. He opened it and read it. Sungmin asked, “Who is it from?”

Kangin sighed. “It’s from my half-sister. She says she wanted to let me know she just found out about me five years ago. She didn’t know if I knew about her. She’s coming to South Korea in a few days. She wants to know if we can meet.”

Heechul nervously asked, “Are you going to meet with her?”

Kangin shook his head. “No. I don’t have a half-sister as far as I’m concerned.”

Heechul was the only one who noticed Vanessa frown. “Why do you hate her so much?”

Kangin sighed. “Her father ruined my mom’s life. I don’t want a sister that is from that man.”

Vanessa smiled. Heechul could tell it was fake. “Okay, guys. You need to continue your practice,” said Vanessa.

Kangin threw the letter away. The guys continued to practice. Vanessa watched the guys practice and smiled sadly.
