After hours of shopping together, Annie had lost the girls so she was stuck with Mark. Annie and Mark walked around going shopping together. They got to talk a lot while shopping for the family. Annie and Mark were in the ABC store looking at the panorama photo of Las Vegas. Annie turned to Mark and asks...

Annie (*asks as holding up the photo) : what do you think ?
Mark (*looks at Annie & says) : it depends.
Annie (*smiles & says) : i want to give as gifts to your parents.
Mark (*asks) : for what ?
Annie : they had plan this trip for us and put in a lot of work.
Annie : they deserve a present no matter how small it is.
Mark : your right but i think you should buy them something they'll actually like.
Annie : they'll like it, i guarantee it.
Mark (*laughs & says) : alright.
Annie : i also want to give something to my dad too.
Mark (*shocked & asks) : Dad ???
Annie : a week ago, a man came to the diner where i worked.
Annie : the time he came, i had already left work so he gave Liz a card for me to call him.
Annie : that night, i gave him a call and we met each other over lunch the next day.
Annie : we talked for minutes and that man turns out to be my birth father.
Annie : he told me all about my mom, when i was born, and why he left.
Annie : he even had a birth certificate and DNA sample of when i was born.
Annie : it all matched and he is my birth father.
Mark : i'm so happy for you.
Annie : i am too. all of these years, i thought that my dad had died along with my mom.
Annie : it turns out that he is alive and living as a Doctor in Korea who's been traveling.
Mark : that's wonderful.
Mark (*asks) : does he know what you do ?
Annie : i told him and you should've seen the look on his face. he was so proud of me.
Mark : i'm happy that your dad had found you after all these years.
Mark (*asks) : so what are you going to get him ?
Annie (*smiles & says) : maybe a mug since he loves to drink tea and coffee.
Mark : good idea.

Annie picked out the panorama photo of Las Vegas and a coffee mug and paid at the front register. Then Annie and Mark walked the entire strip back to the hotel after shopping together. As they were walking, Mark asked Annie....

Mark (*asks) : did you ever wanted me to leave to Korea 4 years ago ?
Annie : to be honest, i didn't ever wanted you to leave.
Mark (*asks) : then why did you let me leave ?
Annie : i wanted you to be happy and letting you leave was the right thing to do.
Annie : you did the right thing to choose this life as an idol.
Annie : i'm really proud of you for becoming a kpop idol.
Annie : and i don't blame you for leaving me or us.

[4PM] They got to the hotel and took the elevator upstairs to their room. Annie went into the girls room while Mark went to the guys room to rest. It was still early and nobody was back from their day yet. Annie took the time to rest on the bed. After sitting there for a while, she went to the window to look out at the view. She saw people walking around the fountain area and she thought about her day with Mark and smiled happily. Then she heard a message from her phone. She went to her phone near the bed side and saw that it was from Mark. Annie took her phone to the window to sit on the chair and text him back.

Mark : i hope i didn't interrupt your rest.
Annie : not at all. whats up ?
Mark : i was going to take a nap but i couldn't. what are you up to ?
Annie : i'm looking out at the window just people watching, haha.
Mark : so i'm i. people watching sounds a little creepy.
Annie (*laughs out loud & types) : it does but its true.
Mark : i had a good time with you today.
Mark : its been a long time since we hanged out together.
Annie : you always know how to make my day.
Mark : as your best friend, its my job to make you happy. all the time.
Annie : i wish we can hang out again, just the two of us. :)
Mark : anytime you want. :D
Annie : sounds good.
Annie : i'm looking out at the Ferris wheel, its so beautiful.
Mark : we can go during the week if we have time.
Annie : okay, sure.
Mark : sounds like a good plan.
Annie : go rest up, i hear the girls are coming back from their day.
Mark : alright. we'll talk later.
Annie : bye.

Annie logged out of her message on her phone and cleaned her suitcase. Laura, Jennie, and Irene came back from shopping and exploring. Andrew, Kevin, JB, Jinyoung, Jackson, Youngjae, Bambam, and Yugyeom all came back too. Mark was on his phone looking at instagram photos as the other guys walk into the room. While Annie was cleaning out her suitcase, she asked the girls how their day was.

Annie (*asks) : how was you guys day ?
Irene : it was wonderful. we got a lot of shopping done.
Annie (*asks) : what did you buy ?
Jennie : we bought some cute jewelry mostly rings and necklaces at Forever 21.
Annie : that's great.

Annie's phone rang for a text message. She opened the message and it was from Mark. She read the message and typed back.

Mark : meet me at the bar downstairs ?
Annie : what for ?
Mark : just for company.
Annie : alright, meet you there.

Annie put her phone in her back pocket and sneaked some money into her pocket. Then she said to the girls.....

Annie : i'm going to head out for a bit. rest up and get ready for dinner.

Laura, Jennie, and Irene all nodded their heads. Annie hurryingly left the room and walking towards the elevator downstairs. As she got out of the elevators, she walked pass the lobby towards the bad area. She saw Mark sitting there waiting for her and she smiled. Then she made her way sitting next to Mark. Natalie came over to ask Annie what she wanted to drink.

Natalie (*asks Annie) : a margarita ?
Annie (*smiles & says) : yes, please.
Natalie : coming right up.

Natalie went to make the drink and Annie sat there smiling at Mark talking to him.

Annie (*asks Mark) : whats wrong ?
Mark (*asks) : what makes you think something is wrong ?
Annie : i can see it on your face.
Mark : it just feels good to be back home and going on this vacation.
Annie (*smiles & says) : i haven't seen you this happy in a long time.

Natalie slid the margarita towards Annie and Annie says 'thank you' to her. Then Mark says to Annie with Natalie walking away to her job at the bar.

Mark : thanks for always being there for me Annie.
Annie : i'm your best friend. its my job.
Mark (*asks) : where have i heard that before ?
Mark : oh right, i said it. (*laughs)
Annie (*laughs & says) : right, you said it.
Annie : if you really need anything then you can always come to me.
Mark : of course i will.

Annie and Mark paid for their drinks. They took the elevators to their rooms to get ready for dinner with everyone. [5PM] Laura, Irene, Jennie, Annie all took turns taking showers. Laura came out wearing a black and white dress with bows on both sides of her sleeves, black tights underneath it, lightly curled hair, black purse, black high heels. Irene wore a lace medium sleeve shirt tucked into a navy flown skirt with a navy thin belt, gold high heels, black purse, hair curled down. Jennie wore a navy long sleeve dress with white patterns on it, hair straight down, black high heels and purse. Annie wore a plaid blue and white collar shirt, yellow skirt, navy high heels and purse, hair pretty curled down. All of the guys wore casual suits to fit the dinner theme. After a while, they all head out of the hotel towards Planet Hollywood to their restaurant to have dinner. After having dinner together, everyone went their separate ways. Annie took a nice walk around the strip before heading back to the hotel.
