The Foreigner and Got7

Rainy Day

JB’s POV
We all sat by and watched as Junior fed Ayana. It was funny and awkward as we ate our food in silence, observing the two of them. We could all see that there was an odd level of discomfort between the two, but why it was like that, nobody knew. Everyone else, especially Mark, Yugyeom, BamBam, and Youngjae seemed to get along with her just fine.
“Junior, give her some chicken too. You’re only feeding her rice.” Yugyeom said, laughing. Junior stopped what he was doing and turned to glare at the youngest member.
“No, it’s okay, really. I can eat by myself.” Ayana said and quickly took the bowl from Junior’s hand.
“Hey wait, that’s not fair, he lost the game, he has to finish his punishment.” BamBam said, scrunching his eyebrows in disappointment.
“Honestly, it feels like it’s more of a punishment for her than it is for Junior.” Mark said and we burst out laughing.
Junior rolled his eyes and grabbed his own food, digging into it with angry chopsticks.
“So JB, what will you have Ayana do for you?” Mark asked in between stuffing his face.
I looked over at Ayana who was gazing at me over her bowl of rice. “I don’t know yet. But when I decide, I’ll let you know.”
Ayana nodded her head and looked away as she concentrated on her bowl of rice. We joked around a little more and were almost done eating when there was a knock on the door outside.
“Shit!” Mark said as we all looked at each other.
“Ya, why is the door locked?” One of the manager’s yelled from the other side.
“Crap, we need to get Ayana out of here!” Jackson said, standing up quickly.
“Hold on, where do we hide her?” Yugyeom asked, looking at his older members worriedly.
“This is why I said not-“ Junior was about to say but I nudged him with my elbow, shutting him up. He frowned at me and rubbed his side and followed my gaze to Ayana.
“Jackson, take her and go up to the roof. Use the other exit.” I said.
“What if they ask where Jackson is?” BamBam asked as he looked at the jostling door.
“Tell them I went to the convenience store a few minutes ago and I’ll be back soon.” Jackson said and grabbed his bag.
“Ayana, hurry, take your things and follow Jackson.” I said. She looked at everyone and then at me before nodding and quickly gathering her things.
“I’ll see you guys later. Sorry for the trouble.” She apologized and I watched as BamBam gave her a quick hug. Jackson rolled his eyes and grabbed Ayana’s hand, quickly walking her out the back exit. She looked back once before the exit swung shut and waved. I waved back and then looked at Junior who was giving Mark a look of disappointment.
“Hurry, open the door.” Youngjae said as I moved towards the door. I looked at my members and took a deep breath and unlocked the door, ready to invite a shit load of punishment.
Ayana’s POV
“I’m sorry about this.” I said softly and followed Jackson up the back stairs.
“Don’t be sorry. You came by for me.” Jackson said. I noticed that he didn’t say us, but I didn’t say anything about it. It was true, I did come by to return his jacket.
There weren’t a lot of stairs but I was out of breath by the time we reached the roof landing.

“Wow, I need to exercise more.” I said, speaking more to myself.
“Why, you’re fit.” I looked up and saw Jackson staring at me. We locked gazes for a moment and I watched as his face grew red. “I’m sorry…I wasn’t checking you out or anything… I just…Crap.”
His flustered face made me giggle and his blush deepened even more. He turned around and pushed on the door to the roof and a nice cool breeze greeted us.
“Cool air. Good.” I was about to follow him out when he suddenly turned and pushed me inside. “Sorry, there’s people out there…” He whispered as he quickly shut the door.
“Oh…then what should we do?” I said looking at him.
“Umm…I don’t know.” He gave me a sheepish smile and I couldn’t help but smile back.
“I wonder… is there a back exit I can use? Then I can just leave from there.” Jackson stopped smiling and looked at me oddly for a few seconds.
“We do…but why do you want to leave?” I found the question odd.
“You have to get back to practice right? I’ve already disturbed you enough for a day…sorry.” I looked down at the bag he was clutching in his hand.
“You didn’t disturb me. I liked that you came to see me.” Jackson suddenly moved closer to me and I took a step back and looked up at him, startled. He stopped for a second and rose his brow, a sly smile slowly creeping on his lips. He took another step towards me and we continued like that until I hit the wall behind me. I looked at him curiously, questioning what he was doing with my eyes.
“Tell me, why are you running away from me?” He dropped the bag in his hand to the floor and leaned in closer until he was barely a foot from my face.
I swallowed the lump growing in my throat and tried to calm my thumping heart. My face was a nice shade of red by now. I could feel the heat as I tried to move my lips and give him a coherent response
His sly smile broke out into a full grin as he took a step back.

“Revenge feels good.” I gaped at him. “Sorry for flustering you like that. Come on, the exit is downstairs, let’s see if we can get you out.” I stared at Jackson as he picked up his bag and started walking downstairs as if nothing had happened. I followed him silently, still trying to calm my heart and racing mind.

When we arrived on the first floor, we deviated from our path and Jackson took me down a hallway, stopping to look and make sure nobody saw us. I could see an exit sign and I knew we were there once Jackson stopped in front of it and turned to me.
“All jokes aside, thanks for coming today. Umm…when will I see you again?” I stared at him, wondering if I’d heard right.
“Oh…umm…I’m not sure. I thought once I give you your jacket back...that…”
“That you wouldn’t have a reason to see me again, right?” I looked away from Jackson as he filled in the words and I heard him sigh loudly as he looked at the exit. “Listen, when you get home, make sure you text me, got it?” I looked up at him slowly and saw that he was trying hard to keep a straight face.
“Okay… Thanks for everything.” I smiled at him and waited until he looked at me. The fangirl inside me was dying but I had to remain cool.
“Good. There shouldn’t be anyone back here so just go out the back and then make a right, there’s a small gate you can open that opens out to a small alley, you can leave from there and go directly to the main street.” Jackson made the motions with his hands, exaggerating everything while he avoided my gaze and I nodded, understanding
“Okay then, take care, bye.” I waved bye to him and stepped outside but suddenly he grabbed my hand.
“Wait!” I looked at him surprised, hoping he wouldn’t be able to hear the thudding of my heartbeat.
“Yes?”
“Umm…take this with you.” He handed me the bag he’d been carrying and I peeked inside. An umbrella.
“But I don’t need it…it’s not raining.” I looked up at the sky. It had gotten darker but it was always cloudy around this time of the year.
“Just in case.” He urged me with a smile and I took it from him.
“Thanks.” I smiled and told him to go back in as I turned around and started making my way to the small alley way.
“Bye!” I heard him say behind me and I turned and waved just as a large raindrop splattered on my forehead.
I stopped and looked up. The sky was still a little bright but I could smell the rain coming. Jackson noticed the heavy raindrops hit the pavement too and for a moment, our eyes met and I saw that he had a wide grin on his face. I looked from him to the umbrella still in the bag. Smiling, I pulled it out and opened it just as more raindrops hit the pavement and me. I twirled the umbrella, watching as the pretty polka dots disappeared into a red blur against the white.
“Bye!” I called back and motioned with the umbrella in my hand.
Jackson waved back before stepping back inside the building. I sighed and made my way to the alley and as promised, it opened out into the main street where I waited for the bus. The entire ride home, I thought about how my luck could’ve changed so much?
When I got home, I texted Jackson letting him know I got home safe. It wasn’t until later when he texted back asking for his umbrella back that I realized Jackson had given me another reason to see him again.
Jackson’s POV
When I got back, I got an earful from the managers for leaving practice in the middle and going to the convenience store. I looked over at my members and judging from their faces, I could tell they’d already gotten their share.
On a good note, JB managed to persuade the managers that Yugyeom wasn’t feeling well so they allowed us the rest of the afternoon off. When we got home, it was still pouring outside and I smiled, remembering the umbrella that I’d lent to Ayana. I’d felt bad when she’d said nothing when I told her about not having a reason to see us again and I almost let her leave like that. It was a good thing I’d stopped her though, because now she had a reason to see me once more.
I took out my phone and saw the notification from her message. I smiled like an idiot as I cooked up a plan. Knowing I didn’t have any schedules two days later after a morning fan meet, I texted her back saying I’d need my umbrella. Of course it was simply because I wanted to see her. Why, I didn’t know yet but something about her since the night I met her attracted me to her. I could tell it wasn’t only me though. It was everyone in my group. Even Junior, who seemed to not like her, was attracted to her in a weird way.
“What are you doing?” BamBam asked as he suddenly crept up behind me and stole my phone.
“Hey, give that back!” I lunged at the skinny brat but he dodged me and ran away to the living room where the others were gathered.
“Hey everyone, Jackson is texting Ayana!” BamBam said and laughed as he read the messages. “Hey, I got home safe, hope your practice is going good. Sorry about today and thanks for the umbrella.” BamBam said in a girly voice.
“Give it back, you brat.” I almost got him except this time, JB interfered. “Seriously?” I said as he motioned for BamBam to continue reading.
“Oh good. I’m going to need my umbrella back after Wednesday’s fan meet.” BamBam imitated my voice before turning back to the girly one to impersonate Ayana.
“That’s okay. It’s a good thing then that I’m attending the fan sign then, right?” I stopped reaching for my phone as I realized that she’d messaged me back.
“She’s coming to the fan sign? Then why…” I trailed off wondering why she hadn’t said anything when I asked her when I’d see her again.
“What?” Mark asked, eyeing me curiously.
“Nothing. Can I get my phone back now?” I asked, taking a step back from JB. BamBam looked at JB, seeking permission before finally walking over and handing the phone back.
“What are you going to reply?” Youngjae asked as he petted Coco.

“None of your business, keep petting your dog.” I said as I shook my head and walked to my room.
