Love Me or Love Me Not

Hana barely slept last night. She kept worrying about what Daehyun meant about taking her by force? She really hoped it was just an empty threat to scare her, but she couldn’t be too sure. Suddenly she felt arms wrap around her waist.
“Good morning love. Did you sleep well?” Mark kissed her forehead and smiled.
Hana smiled and shivered at his sexy husky morning voice, even after all this time she still felt butterflies at the sound of it. She worried about him. What if he got hurt because of her? She found herself hating her ex for trying to destroy her happiness. Should she tell him or try to deal with it herself? She didn’t know what to do. She decided to just not worry him for right now until she really knew what to do.
“Hey good morning Markie Pooh, yup I slept like a baby thanks to you keeping me nice and warm.” She smiled.
Mark smiled. “That’s good. Come on let’s get up and get ready for breakfast. We also have work today.” He pouted.
“What do you want to eat for breakfast?” Hana asked.
“Honestly, I just think I’ll have some cereal not in the mood for anything heavy.”
“Okay cereal for us it is.”
While eating their cereal Mark noticed Hana was really quiet. “Hana you okay? You’re really quiet.”
“Huh o-ooh yea I’m fine just have a lot on my mind.”
“Like what? Maybe I can help.”
“Oh no don’t worry about it. I’ll be fine.” she smiled.
Mark forehead wrinkled in worry. He could see that Hana’s smile wasn’t genuine. “Are you sure? I really don’t mind helping you with whatever it is.”
“Don’t worry Mark it’s really nothing. We should get ready to go to work. We don’t want to be late.”
Mark sighed. One thing he did not miss when he was away was work.
Hana was about to get up to wash their dishes, but before she could Mark grabbed her wrist. “Just remember you can tell me anything okay? We promised no secrets between us.” He stared intensely into her eyes making sure to capture her attention.
Hana looked into his eyes, and nodded. She felt really guilty, and she wanted to tell him, but she was scared to get him involved.
Hana washed the dishes with Mark hugging her from behind, and then both of them made their way upstairs to get ready for work.
Mark looked at her one more time before they went in separate cars to go to work and kissed her lips. “Have a good day okay?”
“Okay. You too, I love you.”
“Love you too.” He smiled, and then drove off to work.
Mark made his way to the office and his mind was occupied with thoughts of his wife. He had a feeling she was hiding something from him, but he couldn’t think of what it could be. He really hoped she was okay, and that she would come up to him and tell him soon.
“Hey Mark you okay buddy?”
“What? Huh oh yea I’m fine. Why what happened?”
“I’ve been calling your name, but you didn’t even notice I was here.”
“Sorry Jackson I’m just worried about Hana. I think she is hiding something from me, but I don’t know what.”
“Don’t worry too much about it. She’ll tell you when she is ready. Just give it time.”
“I hope you right man, I really hope so.” Mark sighed.
Hana was at work, but she couldn’t even really concentrate on what she was doing. She kept making silly mistakes at work because of her guilt. She really wanted to tell him, but what good would come out of it if she did?
“Hana you okay? I know you just came back, but try to concentrate okay?” Her boss suddenly showed up with a concerned look on his face.
“Huh oh yes sorry sir. I’ll do better.”
“I know you will. Your one of my best photographers, but you seemed distracted today. Should I send you home early today?”
“No sir. I’m fine. I’ll get back to work now.”
Hana needs to get it together or else she would lose her job.
Mark finally makes it home, and he notices his wife isn’t home yet. When she gets home he was going to talk to her about his worries.
Hana was on her way home, she hoped Mark wasn’t too hungry since she was a little late to making dinner. Hana noticed that a strange car was following her. So she sped up a little bit to try to avoid the car, but it still kept following her. She tried not to panic, but then suddenly the car banged into the back of her car making her hit her head on wheel knocking her unconscious.
Mark was worried it was not like Hana to be this late and not call. Mark tried calling her again only for her phone to be on voicemail.
Mark was about to drive to her work to see if she was there when his phone suddenly rang.
MT: Hana is that you?
JD: No guess again. This is her boyfriend calling.
MT: Who is this? What are you doing with my wife’s phone?!
JD: Don’t you recognize my voice?
MT: Daehyun? Is this you? I thought I told you to stay away from my wife! Where is she? Tell me now.
JD: Well I wouldn’t want to wake her up she is sleeping now.
Daehyun then proceeded to send a picture of Hana unconscious in a room with bruises on her head, while she was tied up.
Mark was shocked and tears sprung to his eyes. He didn’t know how, but he was going to save his wife since he promised to always protect her.
JD: I warned her if she didn’t come back to me I would take her by force, but silly Hana didn’t listen to me tsk tsk tsk
Mark furrowed his eyebrows. Could this be what she was hiding from him? Why wouldn’t she tell him this? Didn’t she trust him to protect her? Mark couldn’t help but feel hurt from her keeping this from him, but now wasn’t the time for that he had to save her.
MT: Bring her back now if you don’t want me to kill you!
JD: No I think you should be the one listening to my demands. Divorce her, and tell her you don’t love her or else I’ll hurt her. If I can’t have her no one can. You have a week to decide what to do until I start hurting her.
Mark heard the dial tone which meant Daehyun hung up.
Mark sat with his hands in his head trying to think of what to do. One thing was for sure he had to save her even if it meant his life.
