As Blind As Could Be...

You rest on Chanyeol who kisses your forehead, Kyungsoo witnessing. He makes sure your comfortable the way you slept and rocks you side to side.

“You know, if we hadn’t joined SM, I would want you to be with her.” Kyungsoo whispers. “You suit her just fine… but I guess Kai took your spot.”

“Eo? I didn’t realise you were awake.” Chanyeol replies nervously.

“I said I think you and Eunsoo-ah should be together instead of Kai and her.” Kyungsoo speaks up, Kai hearing from afar.

“You really mean that?” Chanyeol looks down at you.

“Eo. Sincerely. I know how much you really care about her, almost as much as I do, maybe even more.” Kyungsoo says, getting up from his sleeping position.

“I don’t know… you think she’ll like me back?” Chanyeol smiles slightly, Kai getting annoyed.

“She basically does already. She is the closest to you and I… She even let’s you do interactions with her that I can’t even do.” Kyungsoo says.

Kai, Baekhyun, and Taeyeon turn their heads back, all were listening to the conversation. Your hands go around Chanyeol’s neck and you pull him down to your face.

“He’s right.” You whisper into his ear and kiss his cheek slightly.

Chanyeol blushes while the others wonder what you did to Chanyeol. He stiffens and puts you down to sit in the middle. You laugh and Kyungsoo puts and arm around you. Baekhyun rolls his eyes and brings Taeyeon’s attention to him again. Kai stares Chanyeol down.

“If you think you have a chance with her, you have to get through my wall.. and it's taller and stronger than the Eiffel tower.” Kai says annoyed and pissed.

Everyone turns to him in shock. His eyes glued onto Chanyeol's, Chanyeol's to you and you to the roof.

“So it wasn’t just a show for the public.” Baekhyun smirks.

Kai looks at him and nods slightly. Taeyeon raises her eyebrow.
“Show for the public?” She repeats.

“Eo.” You reply. “It’s only a scandal, but we make it look true. President Lee thought it would be a good brainwash plan. But I guess Kai doesn’t see it like that anymore… it can’t be helped.”

“See it like what anymore? I’m the one who proposed it, but you are the one that went through with it. Admit it, you wanted to be with me too. It takes two to make a decision.” Kai raises his eyebrows.

“Yeah. You and President Lee, not with Eunsoo-ah” Kyungsoo responds. “Am I wrong?”

Kai reviews his conversation with President Lee.

“I have a proposal for you.” Kai says sitting down with President Lee.

“Tell me, let’s see what you have in store now.” President Lee throws his arms up.

“Because EXO is the only popular mixed group in South Korea, I propose we have a scandal. I mean, itś obvious the fans are raving to know who Honey-shi likes or is with. So I propose there should be a dating scandal in the group.” Kai puts his hand on the table.

“And who will this scandal be with?” President Lee puts a hand to his chin. “It’s a great proposal as long as you pick the right person to be with Honey-shi, someone that is a popular man in the group and will earn me more money.”

“Me?” Kai winks. “Honey and I do look great together. We are close too.” “Is Honey-shi okay with this? Did she approve of this?” He confirms.
“Of course she did, why wouldn’t she?” Kai lies.

“I love it!” President Lee says. “Kai! You and Honey-shi are geniuses! I allow it! I love your proposal!”

Kai laughs.

“Don’t worry, we won’t really be dating in real life, just in front of the cameras. Eunsoo and I are just really close friends.” Kai lies once again.

“There’s nothing I will worry about. You and Honey are strong images together and individually. Thank you for ‘dating’ with my consent.” President Lee winks and Kai bows and leaves.

Kai sighs and everyone’s quiet for the rest of the drive.

You lay in bed. Kyungsoo helped you wash up and get in bed. You hear Kai’s snoring and Chanyeol’s music. You roughly run your fingers through your hair and sigh.

These two boys are going to drive me insane. You think.

It’s been months.

Taehyung asked to spend the day with you. Kyungsoo, being the best brother ever, did your hair and makeup and picked out clothes for you… just like the old days.

“Finished!” Kyungsoo says, happily.

You show him a poker face. He puts down the comb and embraces you.

“We’ll find it soon.” Kyungsoo kisses your shoulder.

He walks you to the living room where Taehyung and Baekhyun were. They were taking selcas.



Taehyung spots you and stops. You and Taehyung leave into a black van.

“Where are we going?” You ask.

“Secret.” Taehyung smiles.

“No fair. Is it just the two of us?” You ask.

“Secret.” Taehyung smirks.

“Aish.” You hit someone and it definitely wasn’t Taehyung.

“What the hell?” You jump.

“It’s just me, Jimin.” He hugs you and praises you.

You push him off with the help of Taehyung.

“Yah! It was a secret! Jimin what the heck?” Taehyung pouts.

You laugh, “Where are we going?”

Jimin thinks and says in english, “We going to the biech (beach).”

“Bitch?” Taehyung repeats. “Beach?...”

You laugh so hard it hurts your stomach.

“Your on BTS BOMB with us as a guest.” Jimin informs you. “Just for the day we stole you away from your knights in shining armor.”

“Isn’t that you too?” You question.

“MAJA!” V smiles.

The car stops and the two help you out. You walk on the sand, hand in hand with the two dumb dumbs.

The wind blows hard on the coast. Your hair goes everywhere and it turns out you, Jimin and Taehyung aren’t alone.

“Oppa!” Fangirls yell. “Eunnie!”

Jimin starts running and all of the fans chase him, leaving you and Taehyung alone. He bends down and takes your shoes and socks off. He guides you to the water line on the beach. You two walk hand in hand.

“What are we doing here anyway?” You ask.

“I’m here to make your life better.” Taehyung teases.

You make the “tf” face and he laughs.

“I’m kidding. I know things have been hard on you lately. I just took you here to give you some air.” Taehyung admits.

“Awe, Tae Tae’s so sweet.” You move your hand up his arm, to his face and pinch his cheek.

He smiles, stops walking and presses his hand against yours on his face. You walk around to him, facing in front of him. He lets go and immediately embraces you. His hands around your waist and yours around his neck. He pulls you closer and buries his face into your shoulder.

You didn’t realise, but he was crying.

“I’m sorry.” Taehyung sniffs. “It’s just too hard to see you like this.”

You felt your shoulder and clothes get damp and you tighten your grasp.

“Don’t make it a big deal.” You smile, looking up. “Things will get better. I hate to see you crying.”

Taehyung cries harder. I hate to SEE you crying. You take back what you say.

“I mean… I hate it when people cry for me.” A tear falls down your face. “It always makes me cry. Tae Tae, let’s not get ahead of ourselves, we’re on your show after all. It’s not a good image to make your guest cry.”

Taehyung laughs as more tears fall from his face. You let go of his embrace.

“I love and care for you so much I can’t help myself and breakdown.” Taehyung comments.

You freeze. After a few seconds, you loosen up and cup his face, wiping his tears.

“Aww, I love our Taehyung too.” You go along with it.

Jimin comes and jumps on your shoulders. You piggyback ride him, surprisingly.

“Whoa! Noona your so strong!” Jimin yells, grabbing the attention of the fangirls once again. “DAEBAK!”

A smile smacks on your face. You lose balance and your eyes grow wider. You go down on your knees and Jimin falls forward on top of Taehyung and you all lay on the ground in the ocean. Your hair was wet, full of sand and seaweed. Your clothes were drenched in seawater.

You get up and search for the two boys. You get too close and tumble on top of Taehyung. You were pressed up on Taehyung and struggled to get up. Jimin was no help as he completed the sandwich.

Wet, cold and uncomfortable, you squeeze out and land on your stomach, face plunged in the sand.

“Yah, guys.” You say getting up. “There’s sand in my eyes.”

Your hands move to your face as you walk unsteadily. Taehyung picks you up and takes you to a bench.

“Put your head up.” Taehyung says.

You obey and slowly open your eyes. Jimin gently pours down the water from the water bottle.

“Okay I think I’m good now. Thank you, Taehyung.” You smile.

“It’s Jimin.” He pouts.

“Aigoo.” Taehyung ruffles my hair. “She likes me more.”

“Oh, sorry, but the last person I talked to was Taehyung.” You blush.

“Ani, I was just kidding.” Jimin smiles.

“Where are we going now?” You ask. “Our clothes are still wet.”

“Baekhyun hyung texted me.” Taehyung says. “He wants to meet up with us at a park.”

“Let’s go then!” Jimin puts a finger up.

The boys were waiting for you and Jimin to arrive. They sat impatient and prepared everything. The section of the park was blocked off for you and the boys, but fans were watching from the block off area.

You arrive at the park. Clothes still damp. Taehyung takes a huge jacket from the back and puts it over your shoulders. Jimin grabs a huge ass warm, thick and heavy blanket and puts it over you three. You walk together like peas in a pod, holding onto their arms because you couldn’t see where you were going.

Baekhyun spots you.

“Yah there they are!” He says running towards you.

He runs so fast he can’t stop himself, bumping into you three and making you fall backwards.

“Ow?” You say. “What just happened?”

“Omo.” Kyungsoo blinks as he helps you up. “Why are you three soaked in water?”

“It’s not my fault. As tweedle dee and tweedle dumb.” You say as Taehyung puts his jacket over you once more.

“We were at the beach and got a little carried away.” Jimin says shyly.

“A little?” Chanyeol complains. “If she gets sick your dead to me.”

You laugh. Kai comes and takes your hand, walking you to the scenery they made.

“Come on. We have a picnic.” Kai smiles. “Kyungsoo and Chen prepared the food.” “Woah. I bet it looks delicious.” You smile and Kai frowns.

Everyone gathers and eats the food. Today, like Taehyung said, took the bad things off of your mind. Unfortunately, the bad things didn’t stop coming.



“You did what with him?” Kai throws a fit at you.

“Nothing. He was just showing sympathy towards me.” You say in response. “Why are we here anyway? Where the hell are we!”

Kai took you outside to the S.M. parking lot. The SM Family was witnessing as they walk by. Especially Taeyeon, who stops.

“That picture doesn’t look like sympathy.” Kai yells. “Are you crazy?!”

“I don’t know why your overreacting Kim Jong In!” You yell back. “I didn’t ask for this to happen. You think I wanted to be in this relationship with you in the first place? I HAD NO SAY in it and here you are overreacting to this. You said it was only for the camera but what the hell are you? Reacting with this attitude. Take me back into the dorm NOW!”

“You did have a say in it all! If you didn’t want to then you could’ve said it to my face that you didn’t want to go through with my proposal!” He argues back.

“Well I didn’t want to upset President Lee and follow through with it to make him happy! I didn’t realise you actually liked me.” You say.

“Wow.” Kai scoffs. “So when you could see you never took any notice, but now that your blind you see and realise the truth. My feelings for you. I guess even though you could see you were blind from head to toe.”

SLAP.

Taeyeon is in the middle of you and Kai. Baekhyun takes your hand and guides you away. Chanyeol comes up to Kai and lifts up the dongsaeng. Hades once again.

“I can’t believe you just said that.” Chanyeol says in a deep tone. “It should’ve been me not you.”

“You can HAVE HER, Desperate. I’m done with her.” Kai says.

Chanyeol throws him on the floor with tears in his eyes.

“You think I can? From the beginning I couldn’t even if I tried because you got in the way. YOU ARE IN THE WAY! And because of EXO’s reputation and our fan base I didn’t take her from you. But then again you two were never a thing. So I might as well take my rightful place and have her as MINE.” Chanyeol kicks Kai.

“Stop it you idiots. People are recording.” Taeyeon murmurs.

They draw their attention to the reporters and fans. Chanyeol puts his hands to his face. He then helps Kai up and smiles.

“It’s for an upcoming mini-drama.” Chanyeol smiles widely. “Don’t think wrong. It’s a mini-drama that wasn’t suppose to be announced until next year.”

Taeyeon raises her eyebrow and then continues the explanation. “NE! Um… it’s a drama involving the S.M. family. Don’t jump to any conclusions.”

“Chanyeol stop hurting him!” You yell and Baekhyun covers your mouth.

You try to release Baekhyun’s grip on you, but you struggle.

“Aish this-” Kai stops himself and watches you. “You caught us!”

Chanyeol mouths, “What are you doing?”

“Honey and I are just a distraction. We aren’t a real couple. My father would never approve of me dating like this. Sure we kissed and slept on the same bed, but we only did it for the cameras, like a drama. We were hiding… (he pauses and thinks of an excuse)... Tao’s leave from EXO.” Kai admits.

You let loose of Baekhyun’s grasp and start running towards Kai’s voice. You trip over a rock, right into Chanyeol’s arms.

“What are you saying! What do you mean! Why is he leaving?!” You scream and cry. “Where is he now!”

Everyone stays quiet. The subject has changed from your relationship status to the location of Tao.

“Did you guys keep this from me? Am I the only one that doesn’t know about this!” You complain.

Taeyeon steps back and Baekhyun tells her to leave.

“Why isn’t anyone answering me!” You cry.

You push Chanyeol off of you and dramatically fall onto your knees.

“He-he’s gone isn’t he.” You whisper.

No one answers. All you hear is fans and reporters asking you questions.

“SHUT UP!” You yell at them and they have hateful expressions on them. “TAKE ME TO THE HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW!”

In the hospital, you ask for your background information. Kyungsoo was getting a check up.

“You got here to urgent. What happened?” Kyungsoo asks.

“Read your eye type.” You reply.

“Why?” He says, taking a look at his file.

You wait patiently, ignoring his question.

“Um. Type A.” He reads.

“And mine?”

He looks over yours. “A.”

Your eyes widen, your face showing hate and anger.

------

“Get me eyes.” You say to the point.

“Do Eunsoo-” Dr. Kim says.

“You had them all along didn’t you. My eyes aren’t rare are they? You are as horrible as your ex-wife.” You reply.

“Excuse me?”

“Am I wrong? You have the eyes for me. I have the same eye type as my brother. We did a background check. Why? What do you have against me?”

He sighs. “I guess you found out.”

Kyungsoo stands up. “Found out?”

“I heard that my son and you, Eunsoo-shi, were together in a relationship. That boy doesn’t deserve to date or be with anyone after what he did to me and my wife.. ex-wife. So to get back at him, I prevented you from seeing his face ever again. I guess it didn’t work out.”

“You are so childish. What did he do to you? He told me you two separated when he was young.” You reply in hate.

“It was BECAUSE OF HIM!” Dr. Kim responds. “He ruined everything. I’m surprised he hasn’t killed himself yet. He knows he did it too.”“Kyungsoo.” You say.

“Eo?” Kyungsoo responds.

“Get me the fuck out of here.” You reply. “Take me to Seungsoo.”

Seungsoo was a professional eye doctor. He was inspired by you to become one. You haven’t contacted him since Seungsoo and yourself were very busy. But you didn’t realise that Seungsoo was in the same hospital as you.

“My girl!” Seungsoo smiles.

You show no expression and he raises his eyebrow. Kyungsoo gestures you can’t see. Seungsoo’s eyes widen.

“Get me eyes, oppa.” You say.

“I… I’ll see what I can do.” Seungsoo says.

------

Hours later...

You open your new eyes. The black and darkness are no more. Your sight is back. You see Kyungsoo and Seungsoo in the room. You spot your phone on the table. Immediately, you thank Seungsoo, grab your phone and run out of the room. You had no time to re-explore everything and feel the color once again. You were so angry and infuriated you didn’t even wait for Kyungsoo, who has been a big help.

“Even if I have to fly across the globe, I’m going to to see him.” You say to yourself, stubborn.

You dial Tao over and over again but he doesn’t pick up the phone. It drives you crazy. You leave tons of messages and finally, after 52 calls, over 100 messages and 15 voicemails, he picks up.

Ha-Ha-Honey-shi.
“Where the fuck are you. I’m so tired of not knowing just tell me where the fuck you are.”
Miguk. (America) Los Angeles.
“I could use a trip and see my parents anyway. I’m coming right now as fast as possible. PICK UP YOUR PHONE FROM NOW ON. I’m so done with shit right now so don’t even refuse.”
Ah I… what? Eunsoo-ah wait-

END CALL.

You go to the airport and get a first class one way ticket to America. You arrive there 12 hours later, you paid extra to get on a fast flying plane.

You call Tao once more, ignoring the other calls from Chanyeol, Kai, Taeyeon and the others. Even your parents. Even President Lee. They all think you went missing.

“Where are you.”
Cabrillo Beach. Wait. Your here right now? I didn’t think you’d actually… Why are your here right now? Are you crazy? Do you want to get scolded when you get back to Hanguk (South Korea)? You’re-
“Shut up. I have to see you. You don’t just leave out of nowhere and expect things to be settled like nothing happened. Your not fooling me Tao. I KNOW YOU. I know you didn’t leave on purpose. There is always a purpose. There was a purpose for Luhan and Kris so there’s a purpose to why you left me in an instant. I’m at Beachside Restaurant & Bar.”
………….I’m walking there now.

END CALL.

You end the call and see him walking up. You run to him and hug him so tight as if you were going to die in seconds and you were in your final breathes. You jump up and wrap your legs around his waist, head buried in his shoulder. You didn’t want to let go. You didn’t want to let any of them go… but you just let them slip out of your hands.

“You left me.” You cry. You didn’t even say goodbye.”

“You have your eyes back.” Tao cries in happiness.

“Today.” You reply. “Or I mean, tomorrow because of the time difference here.”

He laughs. “You have your eyesight back.”

“I have you back.” You reply and kiss his forehead multiple times.

You spend the day there… with him.

“You can’t just leave without saying goodbye, Tao.” You say.

“I thought it was the best way. The only way. If I said goodbye I would’ve had more guilt than I already have.” Tao admits.

“Well you made me come all the way to Miguk to see you.” You pout.

“I’m just glad you can see again. It was my fault that you couldn’t see for months.”

“No it isn’t. It’s that dumbass doctor, keeping secrets from me.” You say. “I can’t even believe the selfishness in that afaldhfujhdsjfh”

“Kai’s father?” Tao asks.

“Eo.” You reply. “I don’t know how to face Kai now.”

“How long are you going to stay here?” Tao questions.

“How long can I stay with you here?” You reply. “I don’t want to go back. I like running away.”

“They won’t be able to function if your not there.”

You laugh. “They’ll be in more guilt because they don’t know where I am and it’s been hours. That’s good, they’ll be more regretful and reflect.”

On the other hand in Korea, it goes viral that you’ve gone missing. S.M. goes crazy. The boys go crazy. Your parents just arrive back from America, and you just arrived in America. Everyone goes crazy and can’t stop searching for you, especially Kai, Chanyeol and Kyungsoo.

You and Tao spend a few days together.

“I think I should go back soon.” You tell Tao. “I don’t want to be in hiding too much. I know once I leave, I won’t be able to see you.”

“Well let’s do something together first. Then, you can leave. I’m going to make my debut soon so don’t worry. We’ll see each other once in awhile.” Tao smiles.

You and Tao decide to do a photoshoot together. One that you two will remember forever. It wasn’t like any regular photoshoot. You just spent one last day together and people followed you, taking pictures of those moments.

Tao posted this photo on instagram with the caption, “I love you her so much… Can’t believe I’m saying goodbye already…” He tagged your instagram name Honeychuseyo_ Which means “Honey Please.”



You post this photo on instagram with the caption, “I’m okay, I’m with family… someone who I won’t be seeing for a while.” You tag Tao on instagram. Of course you picked one of the better photos the people took of you two compared to Tao.




As soon as he posted this the mystery was solved. You were with Tao.

“I’m going to kill this girl.” Kyungsoo says. “She’s making me going crazy.”

“We are in the wrong… it’s okay.” Suho responds. “She has the right.”

“She didn’t even say goodbye though.” Kai complains.

Kyungsoo feels guilty knowing the real story behind Kai and his family.

“Just make sure she comes back quickly. We’re debuting soon.” President Lee says.

“Ne. I know she’ll be back soon.” Sehun sighs.

------

You are at the airport with a small bag, since you bought clothes and didn’t pack them at all when coming to see Tao. Fans are everywhere and Tao had tons of bodyguards block off the fans.

“We’ll see each other again don’t worry.” Tao says, wiping the tears falling down your face.

“Can’t you just come back with me?” You pout.

“Ani. You know I can’t. And besides, you have so many people waiting for you over there. You have a great life there, I… I need a fresh start, a promising start. You already have everything you could ask for.” Tao says in Chinese.

“You HAVE to call me at least once a week. I’m going to go insane if you don’t. And can we meet at least once every ½ year? My schedule and your schedule is going to be crazy.” You reply in Chinese.

Tao hugs you tightly. His actions replied “yes.” You drop your bag and hug him back, staying like that for minutes. You sniff and wipe away your tears, dabbing your face lightly.

“Okay, if I stay any longer my eyes are going to be a waterfalls.” You say and Tao laughs.

“I love you, Do Eunsoo.” He says in a serious tone; Korean.

“I love you, Huang Zitao.” You say in Chinese.

And just like that, another has been lost… but you have your eyes. Everything comes with a cost.

Notes

I know this is really confusing Idek what I wrote, but I just did this to show that Tao is no more in the EXO family. And yeah it's going to get much better, she or you have your eyesight back, but there's worse to come.
