As Blind As Could Be...

“What do you think I’m treating you like an object! How could I? Why would I? This is all in your head.” Tao says.

“Just leave me alone… I need to think.” Kris says and walks right past you to his room.

Tao leaves the dorm and things fall silent. Suho suddenly realizes the three of you came home. You were still standing in the position you were in since you arrived.

“Omo, what happened to you guys?” Suho says.

The guys turn to you, Kai and Chanyeol.

You sit in the dark in Kyungsoo, Baekhyun and Suho’s room. (A/N: If your confused about the sleeping arrangements, it changes when Exo-M is here and when gone… like in earlier chapters, it was D.O, baekhyun and Sehun sleeping together and suho slept with the manager)

Kyungsoo is tending your wounds, the only light in the room was coming from the moon.

“Why did you get involved my Eunsoo.” He says.

“It stings!” You say, trying to move away.

He grabs a hold of you and holds you still. He leans closer to your face, cleaning your wounds on your face.

“You’re naughty you know… getting into trouble, getting punches, not defending yourself. I failed my promise once again. Kai and Chanyeol failed their promise to protect you. But it’s okay… at least your here now.” He says.

“Oppa… I-” “Shhh, you talking makes it harder to bandage your wounds on your face. Sleep with me tonight. I miss you.” He kisses your forehead and goes outside of the room to put away the aid kit.

You sigh. Instead of listening to Kyungsoo, you go to Kris’ room. He’s laying in bed, listening to music through headphones and silently crying. Luhan was also in the room, sleeping. You pull Kris up, grabs his jacket and your jacket and head out the door.

You drive to the Han River. You glance at Kris, who was still crying, silently. You gulp, tightening the grip of the steering wheel.

You sit on a bench, right across from the river. It was cold and windy. Kris was still crying. He shows his pain, so innocently. You turn him to you and wipe his tears.

“It’s just a fight, you’ll make up soon.” You smile.

“No, Eunsoo it’s not just a fight, things aren’t going to be the same. Even if we make up, Tao is still going to be treating me the same… it’s complicated. I don’t want him to.” Kris says, tears continuously flowing as you continuously wipe them.

“… I know Tao isn’t the only thing bothering you now.” You say. “It’s the company isn’t it? They pressuring you?”

“How… did you know?”

“President Lee did that to me too. Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. Don’t take your anger out on Tao, you know how sensitive he is… I don’t want you two to end up like this. Exo isn’t going to be the same.” You say.

“No it’s not… even though we will make up, I’m not getting back together with him. I won’t be able to stand him either. And the worst part is I can’t leave unless…”

“Kris Oppa! Don’t even think about!” You say. “You can’t do that to us, to Tao, you can’t terminate your contract with S.M. We worked, you worked so hard to get where we are now. You can’t just throw it away like it’s nothing overnight!”

“Yeowang, it’s just a thought. I won’t be able to focus if Tao is there 24/7. I might as well do it.” He says.

“Why are you doing this? Why now? Exo is growing further and further, things are going to get worse if you go through with this.” You say.

He gives you an annoyed look. You sigh.

“But… if you really want to, I guess it is what it is.” You say. “Doing this means the end of contact with not just Tao, but all of us. You realize what your going to put yourself through right?”

He nods, putting your hands down from his face. He hugs you, resting his head on your stomach and cries harder. You pat his back and check the time.

“12 am”

Tears form in your eyes and you slightly smile.

“Happy Birthday Kris. I’m so glad you were born, thank you for being born. And I know (tear falls) your making this decision for your own good, but no matter what, I’ll be here to support you.”

He tightens the hug, not letting you move.

“Don’t leave. We need you. I need you. I know it’s hard… and that it’ll get harder in the future, but running away from the problem doesn’t always work out.” You say. “Just, think about it overnight. Eo? Or give it a few weeks… I don’t want you to leave, you’ll only regret it.”

Day’s Later

“WU YIFAN!” President Lee yells. “Get yourself together. You aren’t working hard enough. You need to toughen up and be a great leader like Suho. He and Eunsoo right now are being the best leaders they can, guiding everyone to the right path. If you keep going through like this, you’ll be guiding them to the wrong path. JUST FOLLOW WHAT SUHO DOES!”

“Stop treating me like I’m a doll, or an experiment. I can be whoever I want to be! I’m not an object. I’m not something you can order around or play with. I’m a HUMAN being! You’re treating me like I’m nothing with no talent!” Kris fights back.

“Because you are nothing! I ONLY RECRUITED YOU FOR THE TALENT OF DO EUNSOO AND DO KYUNGSOO! You and the others just came with the package. And now, I’m glad that all of you are here now. But if you’re acting like this, you can leave my company. I don’t care anymore, you useless piece of shit.”

“I’m not going to leave!” Kris says, tears falling down his face. “There are people that care about me and that I care about who believe in me. If you don’t I could care less. SURE I’m not perfect, but I hope you don’t expect me to be. I’m facing hard times right now with myself and them. This usually isn’t me… I’ll change, okay? I promise I’ll make you happier.”

President Lee sighs and thinks.

“I’m giving you one more performance. If you mess up, your done for, I don’t care about your allies.”

“Ne, I’ll do my best.” Kris says, fake smiling.

He leaves the room and finds you, who was listening to the entire conversation. He doesn’t notice, but you recorded it with your phone.

“What? You going to scold me too?” Kris says, coldly. “I’m not ‘running away from the problem’ like you said. Tell Tao that bullshit.”

Kris passes you and you follow him back to the dorm room. Tao was sitting, studying Korean and drinking tea. He glances up at Kris, only moving his eyes, then back to the book. Kris sighs.

“Wow, things have really changed here. The atmosphere is…” Suho starts.

You plug in headphones to your phone and bring Suho and Tao to sit down. They listen...

“WU YIFAN! Get yourself together. You aren’t working hard enough. You need to toughen up and be a great leader like Suho. He and Eunsoo right now are being the best leaders they can, guiding everyone to the right path. If you keep going through like this, you’ll be guiding them to the wrong path. JUST FOLLOW WHAT SUHO DOES!”

“...You’re treating me like I’m nothing with no talent!”

“Because you are nothing! I ONLY RECRUITED YOU FOR THE TALENT OF DO EUNSOO AND DO KYUNGSOO! You and the others just came with the package. And now, I’m glad that all of you are here now. But if you’re acting like this, you can leave my company. I don’t care anymore, you useless piece of shit.”

Suho’s eyes were in shock and he was about to say something, but you hush him. Tao’s eyes were full of tears.

“He, he doesn’t tell me anything like this… always keeping secrets from me.” Tao whispers.

Kris overhears.

“That’s because you aren’t talking to me. But forget it, your voice irritates my vocal chords.” Kris says and leaves.

Tao stays still, letting the tears fall.

“Ye-yeowang.” He cries.

Knowing what he wants, you come over and hug him. Suho joins in, patting Tao’s back.

Everyone turns against Kris. No one talks to him, practices with him, eats with him, or even looks at him. You all knew that Kris has definitely changed.

CHINA
Overdose Promotion

1pm

“Exo standby.” The staff says.

You sigh.

The music starts.

(A/N: Instead of Xiumin being at the top of the pose they make in the beginning, it’s you)

Everyone sings, there’s cheers and screams from fans.

“E-X-O” Xiumin sings.

“..............................................” Kris’ frozen, no words came from his mouth.

You, who was suppose to be next to him and harmonizing to his rap, say his words instead. You secretly roll your eyes at Kris, who was staring at you.

“Wo xiang yao ba ni guan man wo de hou
Quan shen dou zai chan dou jiu suan he de zai duo yong yuan dou bu gou
Du xing yi jing man yan cong tou dao jiao dan wo bu qu zhao jia
Xiang shou zhe zhe zhong ci ji na me tong kuai I can’t stop” You rap.

“Hey doctor!” Xiumin continues.

Kris doesn’t move, he doesn’t do the choreography. He just stays still, in shock, in embarrassment.

“Zhe shi Overdose!”

“I was right the whole time, you are a bad example and a horrible leader. I told you didn’t I? To be like Suho, but NO you decided to be your stubborn self. You’re out, you failed, you made Honey-shi say your lines for you. That’s foul play. Even worse, you didn’t move afterwards, you just stayed still, watching the performance end right in front of you.”

Kris just stays silent, taking in all the hate.

“Pack up and leave by tonight. Don’t come here changing your mind last minute. I wasted so much money on you. I don’t even want to look at you.”

With that, Kris leaves the office and starts to pack. Everyone was still asleep.

He remembers all of the memories you’ve made since high school to now. How he and Tao had those special nights. How everything changed so quickly.

You wake up and immediately go into room 4. You see Kris packing.

“What are you doing?” You start.

Kris looks at you and sighs, then returns back to his packing.

“Why are you doing this to me? To US? TO TAO!” You yell and everyone wakes up.

“Hyung, where are you going.” Kai says, rubbing his eyes.

You ignore them.

“Did what I tell you that night mean nothing!? DID CRYING IN MY ARMS MEAN NOTHING TO YOU?! DO WE ALL JUST MEAN ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO YOU!” You scream to the top of your lungs.

“YES! I’M SICK AND TIRED OF BEING TREATED LIKE TRASH BY THE COMPANY! YOU THINK YOU HAVE IT SOOOO GOOD EUNSOO. THE CHINESE MEMBERS ARE GETTING TREATED DIFFERENTLY. I’M MAKING A STATEMENT, AND I WARN YOU THINGS ARE ABOUT TO CHANGE.” Kris says, touching his nose to yours. “WHY DID YOU HAVE TO RAP MY LINES? WHY DO YOU HAVE TO ALWAYS SAVE THE DAY? IT’S NOT LIKE I WANT TO LEAVE! I’M BEING FORCED TO AND YOU EVEN OVERHEARD THAT CONVERSATION BECAUSE YOUR SUCH A NOSY BITCH! YOU KNEW THAT WAS THE PERFORMANCE PRESIDENT LEE WAS GOING TO JUDGE ME ON YET YOU STILL BUDGED IN. I HATE YOU EUNSOO! YOU RUINED MY LIFE FROM THE BEGINNING!”

You pull back and hesitate. Those hateful words engraved on your heart. Suho comes in front of you, protecting you.

“How could you say that? She saved you during that performance. Don’t blame your mistakes on other people. If your going to be like this, hurry up and leave. You happy? Tao can’t even look at you right now. You changed him so much. He doesn’t eat well anymore. Are you going to apologize to him? Are you even going to say a formal goodbye? Can you even look at ME in the eyes and tell me that I’m wrong.” Suho says.

Kris throws his suitcases on the floor, with tears in his eyes, he stares into Suho’s eyes.

“You’re wrong.” Kris says, slowly. “Everyone in this dorm is wrong! To hell I care that Tao despises me. This is for my own good, his own good. Be happy because he’ll finally return to who he was before, whoever the fuck he was. I can’t believe I loved that bastard.”

Tao was speechless.

Luhan speaks to Kris in Chinese (which only you, Tao and Lay understood).

“Are you serious? Is this about Tao or something else. Don’t do this… please.” Luhan says calmly in Chinese.

“I am serious. It IS about Tao, IT IS ABOUT THE COMPANY. AND if YOUR not okay with it, I don’t care. This is about me. Me. ME. ME. I’M GOING TO FIND MYSELF A BETTER COMPANY! AND IF YOU DISAGREE WITH THIS, I'M GOING TO FIND MYSELF BETTER FRIENDS!” Kris says back.

“Selfish bastard. The sooner you get out the better.” You say in Korean and leave the room.

You come back into the room. “After all we’ve been through, you can throw us out that quickly… maybe you do have to find better friends because we aren’t yours anymore.”

With that everyone leaves the room and ignores Kris.

Everyones having breakfast at the table. Kris comes with his bags and everything packed. He bows.

“You’ve all been… wonderful to me. And I thank you for that. It’s been hard for me, for all of us really… And I’m sorry to say that I’m the first one out of this company. But… I thank you for giving me wonderful memories and I want to end our relationships on a positive note. That-”

“Get the fuck out of here. No one wants to hear your lies. Especially me. We’re done. I’m done. Just leave.” Tao says, looking at Kris for once.

Kris just nods. “I-I see. I’ll just leave then.”

Kris walks out of the company. That’s the last you hear from him.
