Woozi fluff

The only chapter

You walk into the dorm, tired from a long day at work. You aren't supposed to be at the dorm, but you like to bend the rules. For some reason the managers like you, so they don't put up too much fuss. Today it's quiet when you get inside. You spot your target, Jihoon, sitting on the couch, staring at the TV.

You flop down on the couch and put your feet in his lap, a ritual the two of you have done more than once. Normally, he massages your feet, knowing you've been standing at work all day. Today, however, he doesn't even acknowledge you. His eyes are glued to the TV, his chin resting in his hand, elbow on the arm rest.

You give him a little nudge with your foot. He still ignores you. That's when you realize there are no other people in the dorm and your boyfriend is not working on his music; he is sitting alone, staring at a muted television.

You sit up, tucking your legs in crossed, staring intently at his profile. "What's wrong?"

He stays silent but you see him exhale and press his lips together; a telltale sign that he is angry about something. You think about repeating the question but you know he heard it. You scoot closer to him, leaning in so your face is a few inches from his cheek. He can't ignore you now.

"Don't," he says, putting his hand on your shoulder and gently pushing you away.

You blink twice in disbelief. "It's me?" He's never been mad at you before.

He sighs again, still staring blankly at the television screen. He shifts his weight, crossing his arms.

"It's you," he finally confirms.

You wrack your brain, trying to remember what you did that would set him off. You were the one who usually helped him cool his temper off; when he got upset about something you were the first one he called to talk him off the ledge. What could you have done to anger him?

"I don't know what I-" you start to say but he cuts you off.

"Did you have a nice lunch today?" Jihoon finally drags his eyes from the TV to pierce you. There was anger there but also a hint of...sadness? Disappointment? You can't put your finger on that feeling, but you now realize why he's upset.

You smile at him, shaking your head. "It was no big deal. We just had coffee,"

"Just coffee," he scoffs. "I told you before I don't like him." His glare was now full on anger.

You hold your hands up, palms toward Jihoon in defense. "I told you before that we've been friends forever, we just have coffee once in a while-"

Jihoon stood up, cutting you off again. "He wants you back," he growls. "I don't know why you can't see that."

You stand up too, following him as he stalks across the empty room. "We just talk. He doesn't want anything else from me," you attempt to defend yourself.

He stops a foot from the wall, balling his hand into a fist and punching the doorframe; not enough to break anything but enough to let you know that he's furious. "You're so naive," he shook his head.

You stand behind him, staring at his heaving shoulders, his anger making him breathe heavy. You're not sure what to do. You didn't mean to make him angry; seeing him this way hurt your heart. You searched your soul for a way to apologize and let him know it wouldn't happen again, not if it was going to hurt his feelings this much. Finally, you reach out a hand to rest it on his shoulder, "Jihoon-"

He stiffens and whirls around at your touch. He takes your face in both hands and presses his lips to your forehead. "I can't lose you," he whispers into your hair, pulling you into a hug. "I hate being jealous, but I feel like he's going to take you from me."

You stand there a moment, surprised at his sudden change in vibe. He wasn't angry with you; he was angry at the thought of losing you. The thought causes you to bring your arms up and wrap them around his waist. "Don't worry," you murmur into his chest as he pulls you in tighter. "I'm not going anywhere."
