The Roller Coaster That Is Life

Chapter 34: Reality

G-Dragon’s POV
The credits came to an end and the auditorium broke out in applause. Jiyong looked over at T.O.P who was standing and taking a bow with the female lead. Everyone involved with the project was soon standing with them taking a bow as well. It was an enjoyable experience. He looked over at Nita, her eyes were closed and her head leaning to one side. At the same time Seungri looked at her too, his face going completely pale. Seungri reached out a shaky hand and Jiyong was surprised to see his face become paler.
Trusting his gut he reached out and lightly tapped Nita on the shoulder. She didn’t move. He reached to lift her head and came in contact with cold, clammy skin.
“Nita,” his voice sounded panicked even to his ears, “Nita,” he called her again.
“What’s going on,” Deasung asked, making his way around Seungri.
“She’s not waking up,” Jiyong replied.
“What’s wrong,” Youngbae asked noticing the others gathering around Nita.
“She’s not getting up,” Jiyong repeated distressingly.
“Look, the shirt’s damp,” Deasung said, noticing a small damp spot on the jacket covering her.
Seungri quickly removed part of the jacket and there was a collective gasp as they all saw the white shirt soaked in crimson. She had been hurt and Seungri had known!
“Why didn’t you say anything,” Jiyong yelled, attention coming their way. Jiyong didn’t bother waiting for the answer. He bent down and scooped Nita into his arms and ran straight for the exit without a second thought, the guys staying close behind.
There was already medical personnel on standby for the event so it wasn’t long before he had her in an ambulance and they were on their way to a hospital.
“What happened,” asked the medic, ripping the white shirt.
“She’s bleeding,” Jiyong answered in a shaking voice.
“How did she start bleeding,” the medic clarified.
“I don’t know,” Jiyong answered. He couldn’t focus on the questions that were being asked.
As the medic quickly but carefully removed the soaked washcloths, they could see why she was bleeding. There was a blade lodged in her shoulder. Jiyong looked at Seungri.
“You knew she was hurt but you still played along with her,” Jiyong asked in a cold tone.
“Hyung, she asked me too,” Seungri answered in a small voice.
“You shouldn’t have agreed to it,” Youngbae said in a soothing voice.
“How long has it been since this happened,” the medic asked, looking at the wound closely.
“Maybe two and a half hours,” Daesung answered.
“You’re telling me this woman has had this blade lodged in her shoulder for two and a half hours,” the medic questioned.
Jiyong nodded his head. How stupid could she be?
“She forced the blade in further when she saw her wound,” Seungri said, looked at the medic. Jiyong thought Seungri's face couldn’t get any paler, but he was wrong. The longer Seungri watched Nita the paler he got.
“How did she managed that,” asked the medic.
“She used my belt and a washcloth as a gag,” Seungri’s reply was robotic.
“Smart girl,” the medic replied smirking.
Jiyong looked at the medic. What kind of person would say something like that? The question must have been on his face, because the medic answered it.
“She was smart to use the belt, it created even pressure. So when the blade went further in, it could take a straight path. It’ll be easier to remove,” she clarified. Jiyong wanted to hit something. What was she thinking?
Just because she was a mob boss’ daughter didn’t mean she had to go through all of this by herself. Why hadn’t she told anyone else? What was her reason for only confiding in Seungri? Was he easier to manipulate then the others? Maybe she knew the others would have called the ambulance? Seungri could be favored for a different reason?
“What did she say to you,” Jiyong asked, deliberately not specifying what he was referring to. Seungri was smart enough to put the pieces together.
“She didn’t want this to shadow T.O.P’s premiere. She said this was his reward for working so hard and she didn’t want to take that away,” Seungri couldn’t look Jiyong in the eyes.
Jiyong leaned back against the interior of the ambulance.
“Don’t pull on her arm,” the medic said. Jiyong wondered who she was talking too.
“Hyung, don’t pull on her arm,” Seungri said looking at Jiyong. Jiyong followed Seungri’s line of sight. He was holding her hand. He moved forward not wanting to let her hand go. How stupid could she be? How could she let this happen? Didn’t she know none of them where more important than her?
“You okay,” Youngbae whispered to him.
“I think I love her,” Jiyong answered, because for him it was becoming a reality.
