After a 20 minute drive to the airport, they have arrived. Silvana were standing at the front with her husband Joe and two kids, Amy and James. As soon as Granny Anne drove up to where Silvana was standing, Silvana was so happy to see her mom and Ivy there picking them up. Granny Anne opened the back trunk and Silvana and her family put their suitcases there and came into the car taking their seats. While they were on the way to the house, Silvana asked Ivy how she was doing and everything.

Silvana (*asks Ivy) : how are you Ivy ?
Ivy : i've been great Aunt Silvana.
Ivy (*asks) : what about you ? hows the fashion company been ?
Silvana : its been really busy at work and keeping everything together.
Silvana : but i have Amy to help out so it makes it all better.
Ivy : that's great. i almost forgot about Amy working for you.
Amy : its not that great.
Silvana (*asks Amy) : what are you talking about ?
Amy : i just feel like sometimes i want you to be my mom instead of my boss.
Amy (*says to Ivy) : that's why i keep on insisting her to open up my own fashion line.
Ivy : it is a drag to work with your mom but it brings you two closer.
Amy : Canada is a small state, we are always close together.
Ivy : i'm sorry to hear that.
Joe : cant you see ? these two are always fighting about work or at work.
Joe : they never come to an agreement.
Granny Anne : well, i don't want any fights during the two weeks we are together.
Granny Anne : if there are, i'm sending you all back to where you came from. got it ?
Silvana : i know mom.
Amy : yes granny.
Granny Anne : the holidays are meant for family and being happy together.
Granny Anne : don't ruin it for us because you two cant come to an agreement.
Ivy : i'm going to have to agree with Granny Anne on this one, she's right and you know it.
Ivy (*asks James) : so how are you doing with the hospital ?
Ivy : i heard you are the manager and doctor at the hospital.
James : yeah i am. i finally got that promotion after all those years.
Ivy : that's awesome.
Ivy : if you guys don't mind, i brought some of my friends from New York.
Amy (*asks) : who are they ?
Ivy : they're just four guys i work with at the restaurant.
James : that's weird. you never bring your friends over for the holidays.
James (*jokes around with Ivy) : i scratch that out, you don't have any friends.
Ivy (*jokes back at James & says) : shut up. i do now that i have a job in New York.
Amy : the people you work with isn't your friends, they're your co-workers Ivy.
James (*says to Ivy) : don't tell me to shut up, i'm older than you.

They all laughed at each other while on the way back to the house. As soon as they all got back, everyone was already downstairs helping out in the kitchen with dinner. Even Charlie, William, Ben, and Jason came downstairs to help out and got to know each other more. Granny Anne and Ivy helped Silvana, Amy, James, and Joe bring in their suitcases from the car into the living room. Once everyone in the kitchen heard Granny Anne and Ivy came, they all went out into the living room to see one another. They hugged each other and asked how they were all doing. Then after a while, Ivy introduced Aunt Silvana to the guys and they hand shake and hugged it out.

Half an hour later [7:30PM], it was time for dinner with the whole family for the first time in a long time. Everyone was helping with setting the table with silverware and plates. Then they all sat down in the chairs. Iris, Bernard, Audrey, Nick, Laurel, Raina, and Ivy sat on one side of the table while Silvana, Joe, Amy, James, William, Charlie, Ben, and Jason sat on the other. Granny Anne sat on the sides of the table. Ivy and Charlie sat in front of each other so they were looking and smiling at each other as they were eating their foods. The entire family had meatloaf, mash potatoes, chicken Alfredo pasta, and some lasagna.

While eating their foods, Granny Anne decided to tell everyone about her friend who was going to stay over and plans for the next morning.

Granny Anne : my friend is arriving in about an hour from the airport.
Ivy (*asks) : the one that's going to join us this year for Christmas ?
Granny Anne : yeah.
Iris (*asks Ivy) : you knew about this ?
Ivy : yeah.
Ivy : Granny told me over the phone when i was telling her that i was bringing guests over.
Granny Anne : i wanted to surprise you guys about my friend.
Granny Anne : i knew him for 7 years and we are really close.
Jason (*asks) : Granny has a boyfriend ?
Jason : i'm 30 and i cant even get a girl to like me at work. you go Granny.

Everyone starts laughing.

Granny Anne : so he's going to stay with us for Christmas.
Amy (*asks) : how long is is staying ?
Granny Anne : just until the holidays are over. so 2 weeks.
Joe : but mom, we don't have anymore room in the house.
Granny Anne : he's going to stay with me.
Bernard (*says with his eyes wide open) : Woah.
Granny Anne : don't think wrongly boy. there are children around.
Laurel (*asks) : whats his name mom ?
Granny Anne : his name is Tom.
Silvana (*asks) : what kind of work does he do ?
Granny Anne : he's a detective and crime scene investigator in New York City and Canada.
Granny Anne : he is the team leader of his job.
Raina (*asks) : why does that name and description sound familiar ?
Granny Anne : i don't know.
Granny Anne : but yeah, i want you guys to be on your best behavior when he stays here.
Granny Anne : also, i want everyone at this table to spend time together tomorrow morning.
William (*asks) : where are we going ?
Granny Anne : i want to go Christmas shopping, tree shopping, and pajama shopping too.
Ben (*asks) : whats pajama shopping ?
Jason : don't tell me we are all going to wear matching pajamas ?
Granny Anne : that's right. its a tradition and taking family photos too.
Granny Anne : so we all meet in the living room reading to go at 9:30am. everyone got that ?

Everyone at the table had agreed and shook they're heads 'yes'.

After a while, everyone had finished eating and helped clean up the dining room. Granny Anne saw the time on her watch and hurried to get her purse and keys running out the door to the airport.

Everyone had went upstairs into their rooms to shower and change into their pajamas.
Afterwards, they all came back downstairs to gather in the living room sitting around and talking waiting for Granny Anne to come back.
