The following morning (14th of December, Monday), Ivy had woke up early to bring her suitcase downstairs and called her Granny. Ivy called by using her cell phone and it rang.

Ivy : Granny.
Granny Anne (*asks) : have you left New York yet ?
Ivy : we're getting ready to leave to the airport. I'm just waiting on the others.
Granny Anne (*asks) : what time's your flight?
Ivy : it's at 10, in two hours.
Granny Anne (*asks) : then you guys should be here at 4 ?
Ivy : at 4 or 5, depending on the flight.
Granny Anne : I'll come pick you guys up then.
Ivy : we were thinking of renting a car and driving home ourselves.
Granny Anne (*asks) : are you sure?
Granny Anne : I don't mind picking you guys up at the airport.
Ivy : it's okay Granny. We have everything handled, don't worry.
Granny Anne : alright then.
Ivy (*asks) : is everyone there yet?
Granny Anne : Iris is here with her husband and two kids.
Granny Anne : Your Aunt Laurel and cousin Raina just came this morning.
Ivy (*asks) : are Aunt Laurel and Raina staying at the house ?
Ivy (*continues to ask) : or are they going home afterwards ?
Granny Anne : they left their houses to live here until the holidays are over.
Ivy (*ask) : is there going to be enough room for everyone ?
Granny Anne : i'll make some room, its fine.
Ivy (*asks) : what about Aunt Silvana and her family ?
Granny Anne : they're going to fly out Canada in the afternoon and be here tonight.
Ivy : awesome.
Ivy (*asks) : what about your friends ?
Granny Anne : their not going to make it this year with us.
Ivy : thats too bad.
Granny Anne : its all fine. they have families to get home to and i understand.
Granny Anne : its the time for family to celebrate.
Granny Anne : my other friend is going to stay here with us though.
Granny Anne : just for 2 weeks.
Ivy (*asks) : who is she ?
Granny Anne : its a surprise. i want to tell all of you when everyone gets here.
Ivy (*asks) : you can't tell me who it is over the phone ? is he your boyfriend ?
Granny Anne : i'm not answering any questions right now.
Granny Anne : i’ll tell everyone when you guys get here.
Ivy : thats no fun Granny.
Granny Anne : i know but i have to respect the other person's decision too.
Ivy : alright. i can't wait to see who it is.
Ivy : im have to go, the guys are here and we're going to be on our way.
Granny Anne : okay, travel safely.
Ivy : i will. i'll see you later, bye Granny.
Granny Anne : okay bye.

They both hanged up the phone.

Ivy came downstairs and saw that the guys were already there with their suitcases. William, Ben, and Jason walked into the restaurant with their suitcases. William was wearing black long sleeve shirt, grey checkered pants to his ankles, and paired with black slip on leather vans. Ben was wearing a white t-shirt, light grey knitted hooded cardigan, black skinny jeans paired with black leather boots. Jason wore a grey t-shirt with a black leather baseball jacket, skinny blue jeans, and black and white converse. Charlie wore a light teal collar long sleeve shirt tucked into white skinny jeans up to his ankles, paired with black slip on vans. And for Ivy, she wore a white short sleeve collar shirt, black skinny jeans, accessorized with a nice watch and pearl earrings, and black shiny flats.

As they were standing there checking everything the last minute, William got a text message from the Uber driver saying that he was there at the front of the restaurant waiting. William told one another and they took their suitcases outside to the Uber driver's car. Charlie locked the restaurant and came outside with everyone. They sat in the car and the driver drove them to the airport. The driver dropped them off at the front gate of United Airlines and they all went inside to check in.

They walked to the gate and when the time came, they board the plane. They put their suitcases into the compartments above their seats and sat down in their seats. Ben, Jason, and William sat next to each other next to the window while Ivy and Charlie sat next to each other in the middle aisle seats. During the whole flight there, Ben, Jason, and William all slept through the entire way. Charlie was watching a movie onto the screen in front of him while Ivy was looking through her journal with pictures of her family in it. After a while, she fell asleep while leaning back onto her seat. Her head kept on bobbing back and forth and it was slightly uncomfortable for her to sleep. Charlie offered his shoulder to her so he laid her head onto his shoulder for her to sleep. As she was sleeping, he smiled and continued on watching his movie ahead. The entire flight was about 5 hours.
