I have to visit the postal office to get a package I ordered. I quickly brush my hair and change the old baggy clothes to something less bum-stylish which means ripped jeans and a basic white tee today.

Maybe I should buy food at the same time since I’m out…

As I get back in an hour and let the bags fall on the corridor and make a loud sound, my fate is unfortunate.
I search for the key to my apartment. All the pockets, the bags full of food, the pockets again…
Where did I put it?

“Did you lost something?”

I get scared of the strange voice and startle. I quickly turn around to see a man standing still a few meters away.

Where did he come from?

He has dark brown hair and an all-black outfit. He’s shorter than me. That’s funny…

“Ugh”, I don’t know what to say. I kind of need help but I still wouldn’t like to befriend with anyone so I should not talk to him. …But I really need help.
“I lost my key…” I say silently, looking down at the floor.
“Key?” he raises his voice.

Actually! How did he know that I don’t speak Korean although I look like a Korean person?

I stare at him suspiciously.
“I’d tell you to use ours”, he takes his key out of pocket and shows it to me for a second.
“But I guess it doesn’t work that way.”

I sigh. How dry was that joke even. I just want to get back inside my cave and be alone. Right now.

But then the man calls someone and in the meantime, I sit down against the wall and wait. They keep talking in their own weird language. For a long time. Or at least it feels like a long time.
Something seems wrong. Dark circles under his eyes grow bigger and bigger and he looks upset when he hangs up.
“It’s going to take a while. Come in”, he says and opens the door to the apartment next to mine.

Oh… So, how many men are there living again? This seems weird…

I just stare at him, not wanting to move.
“Come on in”, he glances at me and disappears leaving the door open. Sigh.
