Next day,
"I am coming. Don't worry." Uee hung up. She was in a taxi and heading to the hospital in the morning, after Lay called her and informed her about Remi's condition. She reached the hospital and rushed to Remi's doctor, psychiatrist. She knocked at her office door.

"Dr. Hwamin!" Uee called her out and barged inside.

"Oh... Uee, how are you?"

She walked to a seat and sat over it. "Ofcourse I am worried about Remi. Where is she?"

"Come with me." Dr. Hwamin stood up and escorted her to the room.

"Is she ok?"

"She's fine Uee."

What Uee saw was Remi on the hospital bed with closed eyes and a very tensed Lay standing beside it.

"Lay!" Uee ran towards him while Hwamin didn't leave her spot. "Lay..." Uee reached him and grabbed his arm. "What is with this long face? Did something happen?" She inquired with worried eyes.

Lay looked back into Uee's eyes but he didn't answer. "Dr. says everything is fine." He muttered.

"Mr. Lay... would you please come to my office?" Dr. Hwamin gestured and Lay nodded hesitatingly.

Lay and Hwamin left the room and Uee sat on the bed along with Remi. She gently brushed her forehead with her fingers.

"Unnie..." Remi opened her eyes and muttered with exhausted voice.

"What happened? How did you end up here?"

She smiled. "Nothing different."

"Don't confuse me."

"I already told you. I won't be over with this fear, never. Even if I feel attracted towards him, my body still shudders at mere touch."

"Did Lay... I mean..."

"Yes... he did try but failed I guess so... because I collapsed. But I think he didn't. Have you watched his expression?" Remi asked with dull eyes having a little sparkle hidden somewhere. Uee bobbed her head in denial. Remi smiled and then her eyes actually twinkled.

"What Remi? What did you see?" Uee grabbed her hand firmly.

"He's not bad after all. He's still worried and is repentant of what he did."

"Remi... what are you thinking right now?"

She eyed the office. "He might like me very much."

Uee laughed lightly. "Umm... in what sense?"

"He might love me a lot." Remi smirked.

Uee unheld her hand and stared into her still shining eyes. "Did he say that to you?"

"He won't admit it. But I saw it."

"What?"

"I thought it was sympathy or regret or guilt, in his eyes... And I was right. But... at one corner, there was something different."

"Remi... eyes have this much corners???" Uee asked in a dull and interested voice.

"I've loved someone... so I can tell if its love or not."

"Remi... I think you're still subconscious."

"Unnie... I woke up and he was sitting over there." She pointed at an uncomfortable chair beside a sofa. "He was worried, really worried. Have you seen his hands?"

"His hands? Why?"

"They were bruised at that time, I don't know if he bandaged them now or not."

"SO...." Uee shrugged her shoulders.

"He might have tried to hurt himself... because I was hurt too." She stared at Uee.

"Ok... lets believe your theory, then what now? Do you love him too?"

"Haha... no..."

"You're making no sense to me really...."

"Please have a seat Lay ssi." Hwamin asked him to sit and he obeyed. "So, Uee told me about you, almost a week ago. Since then, I wanted to meet you... but not like this."

"I... really don't know what to say." He had his head slightly bent down.

"Did you know she has been raped for almost one year?"

This made him question his existence. He used to be so proud of his moralities. He was so noble, compassionate and selfless and due to these qualities he sometimes felt full of himself. Like he was pure and rest of the world was just piece of trash. Now he was like rest of the world. He became one of those pieces. "One year?"

"Yes... but Remi won't be pleased if she finds out you know."

"I..... I understand."

"Lay, you know why I wanted to meet you? So that I might confirm whether you are whole heartedly interested or not. I mean I wanted to confirm whether you love her and will marry her. You know... there's no meaning of love without marriage."

"Indeed."

"Look at me... Don't feel ashamed. I understand. Sometimes we don't have control on ourselves and since you caused no damage, you should be fine now."

"Sorry..." He looked at her then.

"I told Uee that true love might be the only remedy of her sickness. And I thought it was you. But after meeting you and analyzing the whole situation... I would recommend you to stay away from her. If there's no love, there's no meaning." She eyed his hand. "What happened to your knuckles?"

"Umm... I fell."

"Ok... then I think I am clear to you now. You'd only hurt her and the consequences would be out control then. She might become more psycho. I hope you'd leave as early as possible."

"I understand... I will act upon your advice."

"Thank you very much Lay."

Lay nodded and both of them stood up to leave for Remi's room. Hwamin opened the door and saw a man talking to Remi and Uee. "Do you know him?" Hwamin asked Lay.

"He Kris's father, I mean my friend's---"

"I know Kris. He recommended me to Remi."

"Oh... I see." Lay smirked. Kris had a strong connection with Remi. And Lay was left out so harshly, though it was his own fault so he had no right to complaint.

"Hello sir." Hwamin greeted the man.

"Oh... hello doctor. I hope Remi's fine. By the way, she's the general manger of Baeksoo Enterprise."

Lay smiled at this sudden re-announcement. He never wanted to... but couldn't stop himself from looking at his lady who was smiling feebly. He was still happy for her, since she was going to live her dream.

He continued. "Remi... you'd have to change your apartment and you'll have your own car and driver. Plus... you have to change you dressing style to more formal and not those comfy shirts. I hope you'd manage."

"There's no need of car and apartment." Remi shyly grinned.

"You have to act more responsible Remi, although I'll miss you but... he's right. You'll have to change your living style according to your job." Uee said.

"Ok... see you then." The previous CEO, waved and turn around to find Lay. "Hey... thank you for taking care of our general manager." He shook hands with him and Lay weakly smiled at him, unknowingly what he meant.

Remi was discharged in the afternoon and Lay drove Remi and Uee home. Reaching home, Lay straight went to his room and shut closed it. Remi slowly walked to her room along with Uee.

"Are you feeling alright now?" Uee asked with concern.

"Yes...."

"Ah... not again!" Uee picked up her vibrating cell phone. "I told you I am busy and I cant meet you today!" She hung up.

"Who's it?"

"Kanghyun!"

"Oh... your ex?"

"Yup..."

"I think you should meet up with him and hear his story out. He always seemed so nice to me."

"Remi!!! Don't you---" She halted. "He's calling again. Wait... I'll be back." She dashed out of the room.

"Unnie... take your time." Remi yelled out and then watched the room critically. The clothes were still laying on the bed and the floor. She picked up Lay's coat and shirt and then her dress and dumped them in one corner. "Hmm..." She giggled. "I'd like to know." She smiled. "If you really love me?" She smiled over and over again. "What happened all of a sudden Remi?" She asked herself.

Lay slumped into the bed, daydreaming about Remi. But then he stopped. Those fantasies caused him so much damage to the level that he intentionally hurted Remi. But if he was not even allowed to daydream, then his survival was impossible. He got out of the bed and stood up. His desire was being crushed into small shreds and he was bound not do anything about it. Sit still and watch its destruction. He placed his palms over the wall and tucked down his head, trying hard not to sob over his defeat. He punched the wall with his bruised fist. "Remi..." His lips could not stop muttering her name even after what he did to her. Did you know she has been raped for almost one year? NO! This was beyond his ability to withstand. He wanted to kill that man who ever touched her, right now. But he didn't even know who was he!
All of a sudden the door itself opened and he shivered.

"Lay..."

He rubbed his eyes but still saw Remi standing at the door.

"I knocked but you didn't answer so..."

Lay slowly walked to his girl and stood in front of her. "Are you real?" He uttered, placing his hands in his pockets.

She chuckled lightly. "What does that mean Lay?"

He remained silent.

"Ummm.... I want to see your racing car. And ride it as well."
