It was 3:30 at morning when Lay woke up of a nightmare. But after waking up, another horrible nightmare started, living in a boarding house with two girls was enough troublesome. He rubbed his eyes and yawned. He knew he was empty stomach but the hunger pangs were too obvious now at this hour. He switched on the side lamp but it didn't light up cuz there was none. He cursed Kris in mind so many times that he reached the door in the dark after many bumps and smacks.

After facing the hardships of getting out of the room, he stepped in the lounge and then replayed the previous introduction to not ever accidentally open the girl's room but ...oh shit! He was switching kitchen with the room but the small light from the kitchen saved his life. He took slow steps towards the kitchen hoping he would find something in the fridge to eat, something good or edible, since he doubted if the house was haunted or if the girls were witches.

As soon as he entered, he saw the same girl with messy hair on the kitchen table. Her head was leaning against the chair's backrest while her hands were hanging from both sides. One hand had a half lit cigarette. Her lips escaping greyish white smoke and eyes closed. He moved further and then his eyes drew down her body. She was wearing the long baggy shirt without the lose jeans that she had covered on her legs, which were now bare.

"No... no peeking down." He murmured to himself and closed his eyes which were wanting to do further exploration.

To his badluck, the girl opened one of her eyes after hearing the low sound of footsteps trespassing. However, she closed her eye and remained in that posture, not bothering the intruder's presence. But why the hell was she smoking in the kitchen? He forced the thought out of his mind and proceeded to the fridge,simply designed. The whole house wasn't well furnished. Everything was so ordinary which was not Kris's style. Either he wasn't interested in making this house worth his style or the boarders were extra boring or too negligent. But he had to stay just for 15 days, aint no big deal.

The girl silently continued to smoke and he took a small container with grilled chicken inside. He then turned to the other side where the microwave oven was waiting for him on the shelf. He clicked open and placed the container inside then turned on the timer. The timer started and he started to do the time wrecking wait. He began to walk back and forth aimlessly. The girl opened her eyes and bent a bit to take out another cigarette from the box.

"Three are enough, don't you think?" Lay commented. He saw three almost smoked cigarettes discarded on the ash tray.

He lifted her eyes towards him and the timer ended with a tick. Lay returned his attention to the meal, as he took out the container, which he later placed on the table before taking a seat opposite to the girl. She had been eyeing him since he halted her action.

"I thought you were sleeping." She mumbled.

"I was..." He replied and coughed.

The girl stood up and turned on the exhaust fan attached to the ceiling. She returned back to her seat and took a small piece of the grilled chicken.

"Would you like to share?" Lay offered.

She gave him a disgusted look. "Take good care of my room. Since you'll move out in 15 days, right?" She narrowed her eyes before taking another chicken piece.

"Uh, Yes."

"Good." She chewed on the chicken and stood up, taking out her ipod and headphones.

Lay tried to focus on his meal but her moving legs were too distracting. Round and luscious and inviting. "I am done." He said and stood up, ready to leave the heated room.

"Place that back."

"What?" Lay asked.

"The container, place that back before leaving."

"Oh yes.... sorry." He placed the container back in the fridge. He took out his cell phone and using its light managed to get back to the room.

He finally found the switch board and turned on the lights. He let out a loud sigh. "She is----" NO, he must not think any further. He plunged into his bed and covered himself with the white sheets upto his face. His breathing became heavier so he removed the sheet and sat down. He noticed that he was sweating. "What the...." He was completely nervous. He turned on the fan but it did nothing good to him. His throat dried as he again laid in the bed straight. He took off his shirt but he still felt fidgety. He got up and rushed to the door and yanked it open. Bare footed, he again led his way to the kitchen.

As soon as he was just a step away from the kitchen's door, the girl held a glass in front of him filled with water. "Need it?"

He halted his feet to go in further and stared at her hair still messy, her eyes still dull, earphones in her ears, her baggy shirt and this time, her legs were wrapped in pajama pants printed in some bizarre fashion. He then realized he was watching her from tip to toes, like she was watching him shirtless with a frown over her forehead.

"Before I splash it on your face, take it and get lost." She clenched her teeth and gave him a deep death stare.

"Yeah..." He carefully took the glass without touching her fingers. "Kris... n-never t-old me about you... Whats your name?" He asked politely.

She softened her stare just a bit before slamming the door to his face.

"Hey, How did you know what I came here for?" He asked despite being deliberately ignored.

"Cuz you didnt drink water before leaving." She shouted back.

He took a deep breath and a smile decorated over his lips. "No, no... I must not think about anything..."

Ok.... sorry if i am going slow... cuz thats what i do with every story. It takes time and chapters to develop the story since its not a one shot..... sorry if it bothers you.... *bows* thanks for bearing me and reading.....
